They also managed to lose 10 of my brass collar stays, and when I returned to ask for them the woman stated 'we cannot guarantee the collar stays'. So basically she told me she can't guarantee that my shirts are going to come back the same way they went in. This is supposed to be a place where your shirts come back BETTER than they went in! I'm thankful for wrinkle free dress shirts, as I have always loathed the dry cleaners. They always manage to mess something up, and 'Top' cleaners in Glastonbury is no exception.

So much so, that I was here almost 3 times a week, spending hundreds of dollars within the past two months. Until I brought my vintage Cashmere coat in. A simple black vintage Cashmere coat. Which got ruined. When I got my coat home and took off the wrapping, I was aghast! It looked horrible. There were bad creases in all the wrong places; there was a sheen like that of using a hot iron on a fabric that you shouldn't iron. The arms were shrunk, the tag was shredded. Gone was the luxurious Cashmere look; it looked like it went through the washer! How did they ever let my coat go out the door in this condition? The next morning, I returned to Hourglass Cleaners with my coat, looking for answers. The first person I dealt with was nice and listened and admitted that it actually looked like it had been washed. He then got who I assumed was "the owner?" who looked at it, quickly pressed the shawl collar and wanted to hand it off to me???? Had he admitted what was obvious and apologized and offered a refund, that would have been the end of it and I would have returned. A mistake is a mistake. But no....he repeatedly blamed it on MY COAT! He kept alleging it was due to its age and turned it inside out to show me the lining and blame the lining! He blamed everything but took no responsibility for the damage done. If the age of my coat was such a concern, why wasn't I alerted to that before it was cleaned? They had cleaned another vintage Cashmere coat last year and it came out beautifully. I explained this and how I was a loyal customer. He looked at me with a blank, hateful stare. I was getting nowhere. He only wanted to argue with me and blame the damage on the age my coat. In the end, I got a refund on my cleaning cost for the coat and $20 for the coat itself. There was nothing left to say. I am still stunned. What awful customer service. What a shame. Just terrible.

My blue hoodie, which used to be bright and smooth, is now an ashy blue. The bubble lettering on both the front and back is cracked. I've washed this hoodie at home multiple times before without a single issue, so either their chemicals were way too harsh or they carelessly threw it in a dryer. The coral pink hoodie lost all color in the lettering and looks washed out too. And to make it worse, the stains I originally brought them in for still aren't gone. I paid $8 per hoodie, and honestly -- I got what I paid for. I even attached before-and-after photos of my blue hoodie so you can see just how badly the color was drained. I'm devastated because these were 1-of-1 pieces that can't be replaced. To top it off, I was told my order would be ready in two days, but it wasn't. I couldn't bring my hoodies on my trip, and when I finally picked them up a week later, this is what I got. *I came back now calm, there is a lot of pilling on the inside of the material, they're definitely too aggressive.* Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere else.

Firstly, I came in on a Friday around 9:20am and the owner mentioned my suit jacket and white button down would be ready by 3pm. They don't wash on Saturdays, but the desk is open to pick up clothing items. I had a wildly busy Friday, so this Saturday pickup option was awesome for me. Right in time to head up to the Met in New York! The owner(s) I think are a really sweet couple, and it's apparent that they get good business from how full their (excuse my pleb vocabulary) laundry rack(?) is. People only usually think to leave reviews when they've had either a wildly negative or wildly positive experience, so I thought I'd leave this as your everyday review. Overall: suit jacket came out perfectly, button down came out perfectly, everything was timely, owners were kind, what more can I say? The price for both was $21 including tax, I have no idea if that's good or bad because it's the first time I've done dry cleaning, but I'll definitely be back. Peace and love
