My primary care provider in the same practice passed away, so I called Dr. Boside's…read moreoffice directly in November 2024 and booked the earliest appointment for a new patient physical which was today, April 9, 2025. I provided my insurance info as part of making the original appointment and was told the insurance was accepted. I also completed all their online questionnaires and paperwork along with submitting pictures of my insurance card. Fast forward to today, and I show up and the same office I called and booked the appointment with now tells me they don't accept my insurance and offers to let me pay in cash for an expensive annual physical/blood draw/testing. They have many excuses as to why it's my fault, including that I didn't call them directly, that I must have booked through a system and not them, and that I should have called and confirmed with my insurance before I showed up. All not true. At one point the staff was on the phone with the insurance company and the insurance rep wanted to speak with the doctor, I literally watched and heard the doctor say he wouldn't speak to the insurance rep. Here's the kicker, the same thing that happened to me happened to another gentlemen who arrived just before me. After they told him they wouldn't accept his insurance, he was asked to pay cash for a $189 office appointment (not a physical). He canceled his appointment and also canceled an additional appointment for an upcoming physical. Something is wrong here, stay away.
