While I understand that delays can happen, I couldn't help but wonder why it took so long, especially since the only other patient in the office appeared to be there for a consultation. After the extraction, I was given basic home care instructions and sent on my way. However, within a week, two stitches came out, followed by a sharp edge emerging at the extraction site, which irritated the side of my tongue. I called the office and was advised to return for a follow-up. During that visit, Dr. Bussa explained that my issues were caused by being too aggressive with the prescribed mouthwash and letting my tongue touch the extraction site. He even warned that if I didn't keep my tongue away, the area wouldn't heal properly. Luckily, I had a regular check-up scheduled with my dentist shortly after. She immediately identified the real issue: a bone fragment had come to the surface--something that can sometimes happen after extractions. She easily removed the fragment, which turned out to be large and extremely sharp. Her concern, along with that of her staff, made it clear that this should have been addressed during my follow-up with Dr. Bussa. Overall, I was disappointed with the care I received. Whether it was a lack of knowledge about post-extraction complications, the unexplained wait time, or the failure to address the issue properly, I cannot recommend Dr. Bussa. I also reached out to the office by email to share my experience and waited for a response before posting this review. I was told that my experience would be discussed at a staff meeting. Patients deserve more attentiveness, professionalism, and respect for their time and well-being.

The secretary I spoke with on the way out explained the nightguard, then handed me a piece of paper saying (I'm paraphrasing) "I agree to have this procedure performed at a later date and pay all costs." She told me "please sign at the bottom" agreeing that I EXPLAINED it to you, then let's talk about your next appointment." I said "I'm not comfortable signing because I don't want to go ahead with the procedure." She said "you're just signing agreeing I EXPLAINED it to you, not that you agree to pay and have it done." I said " that's not what the contract says." What if I believed her and signed, chose not to have the procedure done, and then noticed months later a $937 charge on my card? Could I later go back and say "she told me I was just signing agreeing that she EXPLAINED it to me, NOT to pay for the procedure?" They'd say "well, you signed it, so you're screwed." Luckily this didn't happen because I didn't sign, but I had another business scam me like this (Anytime Fitness) and they denied telling me that. The lesson is ALWAYS read what you sign and never trust what they tell you verbally. I can't prove this was the intent but it makes me VERY suspicious. No matter how great their service, this completely ruins it for me.

Booked a consultation and felt very uncomfortable and left with a ton of questions that were not clarified. I booked a surgery date of June 10th with the caveat that I would need to quit smoking 4 weeks before surgery. Anyone who has had to do this knows it's difficult. I reached out a little over a month before surgery and asked about the timelines because I was getting nervous about quitting and had just picked up my meds to quite. The response I received is attached to the review. Never once did I mention not having the surgery but they immediately went to how I was now having to pay $4000 to book. Disgusting, fraudulent and unprofessional to say the least. Nobody in their right mind would allow someone to perform surgery on their face after being treated like this. Be aware.
