The kids have to make numerous presentations and graduate able to address a critical audience who give feedback. Some programs like Project Invent are evaluated by heavy hitters in industry and yes that means Silicon Valley. The student body is every diverse and the faculty and administration are passionate about what they are doing and we like it so much there wasn't a question where our second child would go to high school.

The teachers don't communicate when your child is felling, they only call you when your child is disruptive to their class. I just sat in my son class for a whole week to watch and was very disappointed and made sure that my son made up every missing assignment he missed . There is no way he should be felling this week . I will be transferring my son to a different school after this marking period. That is how disappointed I am with the staff ,teacher ,and principal of Roosevelt middle school. This school is a joke.

They need to start having a more selective process for students. Teachers struggle with keeping the students focused and most of the students are ignorant to what they say. The courses are decent, but not private school decent. The teachers are fine but the theology teachers can sometimes be unrealistic or some might say too strict to the point where they call out students from being late and giving attitude to them. Overtime more students keep leaving as class sizes start to get smaller. Overall, I suggest students to apply to another school.

From kindergarten my teachers have planted seeds of faith in me. I have good friends I met at Patten. Everyone is really sweet. Especially my teachers, Sharon and Tom. Our principal sacrifices a lot for us. She has been teaching 1st grade for about 2 years. and keeps a smile on her face. Tom, Sharon are my highschool my favorites. They care deeply about my education and always encourage me when i'm having a hard time. My favorite thing is that I can come to my teachers for prayer/ advice. The campus is beautiful, from the prayer chapel to the landscaping on the highschool side. It's very peaceful on campus. Our electives are the fun part. You can do many different fun electives on Friday, you can even start your own. I've attended and enjoyed art elective. Aswell as, I've started two, a girls faith group and a Sanrio club. I have started two : THE FORCE which is a girls faith group, and another a Sanrio club, where we cooked and made crafts based off of the characters. We enjoyed and made many memories. Student are very involved in the activities that happen within the highschool, they can plan events (prom, trips, fall festival, pep rallies). pros: drugs, fights, bullying, toxic interactions are not a problem at my school. I feel safe. My parents are able to connect with my teachers easily. Mr.Tom makes math class enjoyable and adjust for each student (if needed) We have service on Fridays to showcase our orchestra, choir as-well as a sermon by our Pastors. Our Pastors check in with us, and actually care about us! Seniors get out early ! Public speakers come pretty much every other day to share a message on their hearts to encourage us. To be honest : Our school lacks in the sport department, but that will change upon more applicants. but what truly matters is there. The Lords presence. Patten welcomes everyone. we have combine classes in high school because we're small but mighty. once there was a school year with one 11th grader and a class full of 12th graders. Once they graduated there was one girl to be a senior the following year, her name was Jasmine. She was an exchange student. She was very distraught to graduate alone. So I took her hand, and I said "Let's pray about it". My prayer ask God to send more students so that she wouldn't have to graduate alone. God, in fact sent 7 new students from her country. And she did not graduate alone. Most of the students came as 11th graders, but were able to move up to 12th grade having many credits. She testified about the story at her graduation! This was major! For this reason she thanks God. I thank God for answering our prayer. I know our school might not have everything, but if you want your child to know God and get a 1 on 1 education please consider Patten Academy of Christian Education. God bless.
