Okay, so it's not the coolest shop in town. I first discovered this in Chester, I think, and was surprised to find I'd been walking past the Oxford one for ages without noticing it. It's very middle class, middle-aged (well, okay, probably aimed at 30-60 year olds) and good quality. I'm not quite sure what it's got to do with wool, although they do sell quite a lot of cashmere. A top tip for the cashmere, which, incidentally, relatives love as presents: wait until it's in the sale - I saw some for £65 that was originally £130. The focus in general is on collections, so if you see something you like, get it while you can, as it may well not be in there next time you go.
The staff are friendly, the service good and the atmosphere nice, but be prepared to pay for it! read more
