If you want to know where Jerry and Nancy farm, ask them! They will invite you by. I have yet to take them up on their offer. The price is more than a grocery store, but the convenience of the size of the chicken is worth it. Everything is fresh, you don't always need a pre-order. They have stuff ready to go on delivery day. I happened to try the salmon which was sashimi grade and super delicious from a partner supplier that they buddy up with in Tofino. I'm torn about how to rate Rocky's Bakery. Six years ago, they catered our wedding and we were…read morequite disappointed. However, I decided to go in and try their baking before writing a review. So several years later, here I am. The ambiance is typical for a bakery run by a 70 year old man. There are old signs like "espresso yourself" up on the walls. One immediate problem stood out to me: there's no air conditioning, and it was hot in there. I got a blueberry pastry and a coffee. Although the coffee was just in a pre-made cannister, it was quite good and refillable. The pastry was very good and had a ton of fruit filling. There is plenty of seating, although I can imagine it gets quite busy at 5 in the morning when all the old people from Strathmore come in for lunch. It said on the window that it was a bakery and a cafe, but I failed to see any espresso machine and didn't ask. Strathmore needs a good cafe with great espresso and a friendly atmosphere--like Analog or Phil & Sebastian's in Calgary. This certainly isn't it, unfortunately. With that said, I'll probably come back again when I'm in the mood for a fresh pastry.
