I've been coming here for a couple of weeks with an old shoulder injury that's never gone away…read more I've worked with other physical therapists in the past, and even chiropractors, and no one was able to help beyond just throwing some ice on the area and doing basic stretches. Heather was able to figure out what was happening immediately and get to the root of it, and after only a few visits, my pain is completely gone. I can finally get back to my usual training in the gym, completely pain-free. I was blown away by the quality of their service, having been to many other PTs, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. This place is awesome!

I should have trusted my gut. I am in worse pain now than before and I'm concerned about one of the exercises that was used on me. ** Also I should have looked closer at the online reviews as majority are based out of CA and there is an Ascend Physical Therapy in CA too. SO these people reviewing are probably reviewing about CA location and not the Colorado Springs. Update-The next couple of days since the PT appointment and I am in even worse pain than before going to this place. I am having more issues and just extremely upset for not trusting my gut in the first place. I wish I never went here. Now I just need pray what the PT did is not permanent.

I would then lay on that, which a heating pad was first placed, then they would turn the rollers on for about 15 min. After that, they would lay me out on a padded table and we would go over stretches that were for me and my condition. After that you are done and you can get another appointment at the front. Everyone there is sooooooo nice and plenty helpful! I would most defiantly recommend them for all your physical therapy needs!!! Just like with a lot of things in life, not everything will work out for you, but one must try to see if there are changes though. ;)

This is not a review of the quality of treatment received. I have no complaint with the individual…read morephysical therapist that provided treatment. She was professional and competent. The therapy provided to treat the neuropathy in my right hand (which causes it too feel like it is immersed in a bucket of boiling water) was effective. My complaint is with the business practices they follow. Six months after the initial treatment the symptoms started to reoccur (in a much milder form). My insurance had changed and Dynamic Physical Therapy (DPT) was no longer in network. My insurance would pay a non-network provider based on Medicare approved rates. DPT simply had to bill them. They refused to do so and told me that I would need to self-pay and then deal with being reimbursed by my insurance company without their assistance. I chose not to seek treatment with them. DPT is again in-network with my current insurance. The symptoms have started to reoccur. Wanting to start therapy as soon as possible to avoid them becoming worse (having my hand feel like it is in a bucket of boiling water is an experience I do not wish to repeat), I made an appoinment and printed out the referral I received from my healthcare provider's web site because my Primary Care Provider had neglected to send an electronic copy to DPT. I offered to self-pay, if the referral was not received in time. Yesterday, I received a call from DPT telling me they had cancelled my appoinment because they would only except a referral received directly from a healthcare provider. In addition, they would not accept self-pay because they were in-network with my insurance company.

I give this team five stars without reservation. I was extremely nervous about starting physical…read moretherapy as I'd had a very negative experience with it years before to help me regain what I refer to as "body confidence" as I combat SLE (Lupus). Working with Bruce was everything I could have hoped for and more. Not only did he seem to understand what my goals were, he structured a plan and pacing that was spot on for my capabilities. He didn't stop there, though, checking in at each visit to tailor that day to my current functionality. I can't think of a better way to efficiently and effectively get quality results and recovery. I've seen him work with patients of all types and injuries as well as at various times of the day. His dedication and quality of care is consistent and top notch. While I wasn't able to engage with the other trainers as closely, from what I could see during my visits that level of professionalism carries throughout the office. As someone who must engage with healthcare professionals on a frequent basis, I know healing happens outside tests and medications. The staff here has so much heart you feel better just walking in the door. I can confirm that you'll be a mixed bag of emotions when you leave your last appointment: excited to have reached your goals, sad to lose such great care!

He massaged aching muscles in a way that made me SO much more relaxed than when I arrived. I've been to other physical therapist but Jason really took the time to get to know me. I've had two surgeries on my neck so my issues are focused on the neck, shoulders and back. Jason didn't just tell me how to stretch, but he helped me through the stretches. He helped push my body in ways that released tension in places I didn't even realized needed that stretch. All in all, I felt great when I left and have appointments booked for the next two weeks. If you're in pain, give Select Physical Therapy a try. It's early in my progress but I have high hopes that this treatment will bring me relief.

I just spent the last 8 months here (at least it felt like it). I was recovering from a car…read moreaccident and needed additional treatment so I was referred by my chiropractor. I've heard great things about Orthopedic Rehab in general- they have a lot of locations- this location is really good. My physical therapist was Micah. He is very good. He also does dry needling and I felt like he did very well with that- he explained everything and normalized the process and was in tune and sensitive with how I was handling it. Micah is smart and knows what he is doing. You spend some time with your physical therapist and then have techs and assistants who walk you through your exercises and treatments. Overall I appreciated each one who worked with me. One tech in particular seemed distant and I felt like he shamed me when I arrived at the wrong time for an appointment (I'm not convinced that was my fault) and that really bothered me. But the people working are personable, caring and knowledgable. Their equipment is good and I enjoyed observing the interactions with other patients and among the team. There are TV's in the rehab area and I got a real kick out of how into The Price Is Right the staff seemed each time I was there. :) I had frustrations with scheduling. I think about 30% of the time (and I went A LOT and for A LONG TIME) there were mistakes made with my scheduling- either the day, time, which treatment I was having, or even the therapist I was seeing. I think improvements need to be made in their scheduling system. The front desk staff, especially more recently, are warm and on top of things. This office has recently added services for women's health which I think is awesome. They don't take my insurance (Aetna) but they were fair in their prices which I respected. The owner/manager of this location, Chad, is extremely personable and seems like a good leader. There were some times I felt like the staff were giving up on me, indifferent to me, distracted or maybe even a little uncommitted. I think that could have been because I was a patient longer than most other people, and maybe my own discouragement that I wasn't getting enough better rubbed off on them. Overall, though, my experience was positive and I will highly recommend this location of Orthopedic Rehab.

IT'S A YES. JUST GO…read more Unfortunately, an issue at home meant my stay ended early - there was a tragic miscommunication amongst staff the day before as well, which they handled with the utmost integrity. It was certainly the only snafu in my experience, and it rightfully belongs in the "sh*t happens" category. Staff had the humility and courage to own the mistake, and that willingness alone was enough to know that I had come to a place full of people who are truly the real deal when it comes to mental health. I left because I had to - not because I wanted to. In fact, I was planning on extending 30 days to complete their PHP, but life called me back home. Make no mistake - were it not for having to leave to handle something horrific back home (I'm from the other side of the country), I would still be there. I woke up this morning aching to go back to the safety, the compassion, the grace, and the mercy of Peaks. The staff are beyond wonderful. They sat with me through the darkest day of my life, and did nothing but love me. I can't describe how supported I felt. I could literally *feel* the empathy of the clinicians, nurses, and medical providers who sat with me and held space through the worst two panic attacks I've ever had. My housemates and I, and especially my roommate, wove a web of support and belonging I had never experienced. (Prior to admission, I literally could not get out of bed or do anything remotely social - I was even finding it hard to leave the house). I had the BEST time being part of a community, which gave me new confidence, and reassurance that I could get back into the game of life. I'm a therapist myself and I would 100% recommend Peaks as a committed, compassionate, caring healing space of the very highest quality. These people have their sh*t together. I have never encountered a place full of people who truly WANT to be there for you. Imagine being asked multiple times per day by staff if there is anything you need to feel supported. Being surrounded by people who know and care whether you've eaten that day, how you slept last night, and whether you need anything else to feel safe was pretty mind-boggling. I would trust Peaks to treat my nearest and dearest with zero hesitation. It will be the only mental health treatment center to which I refer my clients. Thank God for Peaks. Certainly I will forget to name some of the incredible staff, but Faith, Kinnley, Clint, Kara, Holly, Angela, Dr. Nichols, Sasha, JUDY, Cindy, Kyle, Pema, Julia, Chef, Taylor, Tara, Logan (x2), Heather, Eric, Marissa, the various therapists who led group, Bobby, Max in admissions, and Rachel - thank you for giving me a home, and at long last, an accurate mirror. Thank you also for tolerating my dirty blue hair and my massive disco fruit snuggie. I miss everyone already. Although I only got to stay for 10(ish) of the 30 days I had planned, the changes in me are real. I came into Peaks as a 47 year-old adult child, and left as a grown-up. Thank you, Peaks, for turning me back into me. Thank you for restoring my dignity. I will carry a piece of you in my heart always with immense gratitude. There is something spiritual in the particles and energy at this place that truly brought me back to life.
