Edgar and his team went behind the call of duty to perform an excellent cleanup, weed abatement, restoration of plants & hedge trimming at a down to earth price. They're masters of what they do! Highly recommended! read more

This guy leaves tons of leaves in all corners of the house, chops off the heads of my rose bushes and succulents, leaves clippings inside of every plant I have if he didn't chop the head off of said plant. He did help at first. but nevermind the two front gardens which he never touched unless he was not Busy. I just asked him after I gardened my own garden and asked if he could make my yard like I like it. He said hire another. read more

My first encounter with Edgar was 3 years ago when he & his crew worked on my front yard. Fabulous job! A year later I hired him to trim ivy & a lemon tree in my back yard, again, great job. A week ago I asked Edgar to come over and remove a lot of plants and plant a small tree in my front yard and I would plant things. Every time Edgar gave me a price, I agreed, I never tried to make a deal and I always gave a little extra or tip. Edgar and 1 of his guys came by and did a great job. I mentioned I had two light fixtures to be swapped out and needed more ground cover. He said he would get me the ground cover and change the lights the following day. I called the next morning and Edgar told me he would be by at 4pm. 4pm and all day Friday, no Edgar, no call. Saturday morning I called and left a voicemail asking what happened and when should I expect him. Nothing, so a few hours later, I sent a text asking what happened. Again no return call or text. I let Sunday pass and then decided on Monday to go on Yelp and send a request. After about 25 minutes he called me. When I asked what happened, Edgar stated " I got busy." I told him that I left a voicemail and a text, he again replied, "Well, I got busy." I told him that I can understand busy, but a no show, no call, no text was upsetting. He had no response. I told him that I have been happy with his work and that this was unlike him and I thought something bad happened. Crickets..... I told him that I felt uneasy about hiring him for a couple future projects if I can't rely on him, to which he replied, "it won't happen again." He asked if I wanted him to come by that day to change the lights, I said no, I did it myself. I thanked him and hung up the phone. After giving Edgar two 5 star reviews for previous work, I have to change my over all review to a 2. No show, no return call, no return text, and most importantly, no apology. I have read several other reviews stating similar issues with Edgar. Reliability still means something and the I was busy comment was upsetting, especially since I thought I had been a good customer. read more

Unreliable. Doesn't pick up calls or return them. I'm not sure why he's in business leaving flyers at homes and then doesn't pick up calls. Lol I don't get it. read more

NOT RECOMMENDED!! This company did my neighbor's tree and I have an identical tree 10' away, 2 days later I called Edgar and asked for a quote but he insisted on looking at it in person again. I repeated it is same as my neighbors but he insisted he has to see in person...again so he set an appointment the next day at 2:00pm. The next day at 2:30pm, I called but it went to voice mail, so I text. An hour later I called & text again, no response. An hour later I tried again, left voice messages text never replied. I waited a week then called and text again, no answer or response. Another week passed and tried one more time, no answer so I left him a Yelp review, within 5 minutes he text me and asked why I left a bad review. I told he because he never showed up, called or text me. He told me he wasn't allowed to do work in our HOA, after explaining to him I had no HOA he said he would comer over to look at it. A few hours later he showed up. He gave me a price of $250.00 to trim our palm, I agreed but he said he couldn't do it until May 2nd. I said no problem. On May 2nd, once again he never showed up. I called & text, once again he ignored me and never replied. I tried a few times. We decided to wait a few days to give him the benefit of the doubt but no response Edgar, at least have the decency to cancel an appointment, instead he left us waiting for hours and never showed, called or text me. Use caution when dealing with this company as they are FLAKES! read more

I hate to do this, but I just want to let others know that there is a reason Edgar has so many 1 and 2 star reviews. I wish I had seen them before I hired him. At first it seemed like Edgar did a great job on removing trees and installing grass and sprinklers. He even came in at a lower price than our previous bid. However - and this is where you might want to pay attention to what others have said - in 2 weeks when we realized he didn't add enough sprinklers and our new grass was dying, we called back. After many many calls, he finally responded and came by to take a look. He said he would be back in a few days to fix it. That was 3 weeks ago. He will not return my calls or texts. We now have to hire our gardener to fix what we already paid for. read more

He made 3 separate appointments with me, all of which were no-showss. It was a small project but still kind of a waste of my mornings.

This guy is so full of s$&t promises good service. Forget it find someone else.half the time he doesn't show up or lies. I wouldn't waste your time on this unprofessional bozo. Makes all these promises he cant keep. I found a gardener that shows up and requested a refund grom Edgar . He was always paid automatically for each month. He wouldn't show up. In my eyes that is keeping money you have not earned. I asked him to refund the money. Like his poor service he has yet to refund the money. I just want the refund so I can have no more contact with him. If you're looking for a good reliable gardener, keep looking because its not this unethical guy. read more

Not reliable. Agreed to work (verbal and in writing) then a no call no show. Not a good business trait Edgar.

Edgar and his crew are very responsible and came out to my house same day I called did some work on my yard and been my tree trimmer for a while I highly recommend him and his crew they do an amazing job thanks Edgar read more

Edgar and his team are very responsible and hard working team! They offered great quality service. We bought a new house and needed move the rental home at Pasadena. And the previous landlord demanded us to fix the dry lawn. It was right before Christmas time. I requested about 3-5 quotes. Only Edgar's team proposed the most cost effective solution how to restore the dry lawn within reasonable budget. I'm so glad we took his creative idea. His teammates worked the entire day. After we returned the rental home to the landlord. That was only thing she did not explain. Thanks for edger's team! Side story, it was tough to get my security deposit back from her. Never rent a home from a cheap landlord. Use tenant law to protect your rights always. Unfortunately, there are some people like to appear superior and take advantage of tenants! read more

Good for "blow and go". Will they notice if your sprinkler system isn't working, or your lawn is dying? No, or if they do, don't expect them to mention it. Will they pull out gigantic weeds, or even small saplings growing out of the middle of your lawn? Not even if you ask and agree to pay extra ahead of time. read more

0 stars. DO.NOT.HIRE! Edgar is a nice guy and punctual at first, but the people he hires do careless, lazy and shoddy work which reflects on Edgar. After repeated no-shows, Edgar did not return to fully complete the repairs and mistakes his crew made. In our case, busted irrigation heads, lines, nozzles, valve, and severed landscape lighting wires in several areas. A complete mess and now need to hire someone to repair what his crew did. Lastly, DO NOT make FINAL payment until you THOROUGHLY inspect the job done. I don't like having to write such a bad review, but future customers...be aware. read more

So grateful to Edgar and his staff. Always on time. Takes extra care. Very professional! We have a massive Fiddle Leaf Fig and the tree leaves our yard with lots of leaf and fruit fall. We also have many terraces that need attendance. When they leave the yard, it's beautiful! They work hard and quickly. Please do call them for your yard care. I am looking forward to the Spring because he will do some planting and landscaping for us. I think this is a wonderful company! read more

I have only praise and no complaints for Edgar and his service. They did a great job for me today, scheduled after a next day visit and estimate several days ago, and appointment kept for today. Everything was done exactly as I had asked for, and with thoughtful care. Thank you so much for coming out, and for doing great work! read more

I hires gardener about two months ago, for the first visit everything was fine. From that point on nothing with consistent, and each time he was supposed to come I had to contact him and find out why he didn't come. The last time that he didn't come, I texted him and ask him if he was coming, I Didn't receive a call from him, I received a call from one of his relatives saying that he wasn't coming but he (the relative) would come and complete the gardening service. The biggest issue I have with this gardener is that he is so unprofessional, he has zero respect for me as a customer. According to the relative this gardener was moving far away, and was not going to be able to do the service anymore. Again, a professional would have contacted me directly and told me that he could no longer do my service, a professional would've shown up when and where he said that he would, in other words a professional would've kept their word. In the city of Los Angeles, and maybe all across the country customer service has become a joke. With people treating customers as if they are nothing, as if they don't matter at all. While at the same time being more than willing to take that customers money. read more

ABSOLUTELY DONT TRUST THIS GUY!! Im a Real Estate agent and Property Mgr and called on Edgar along with other gardeners in the neighborhood to install seasons ornamental flowers for a new listing. He was quick to respond and meet me at the property the next day to discuss. We agreed on 20 flats plus his labor at $575 and that we would face time on Friday morning to select flowers while he was at the nursery. I offered to pay him a deposit up front and the balance at the end of the job. On Thursday i texted and called him multiple times to confirm our appointment and he never responded. Didn't even have the professional courtesy to call me back or text me to say that he couldn't do it, or needed to change schedules. I was even sensible and left messages staying i can understand if things come up, but please just call me and let me know so i can reschedule the job. I got nothing!!! He blatantly shook my hand and then never called or showed up. Completely broke the professional, long-regarded gentleman's hand shake as contract. I do not recommend him! read more

Edgar and his crew have been taking care of our garden for several years now. They are consistent, thorough, and professional. Hands down the best gardener we have ever worked with. Just a couple of weeks ago, his team helped us trim all the trees in both our front and back yards and removed a dead tree and replanted a beautiful little Crape Myrtle. The cost was reasonable, the work was done on time and complete, the crew was friendly and professional. Just a bunch of hardworking, nice people to work with. Thank you, Edgar! read more
