Why my family does not recommend Nick Clark:…read more Per our contract, Nick Clark was to "Furnish all labor required for pricing, tagging, staging, sale setup, cashiers, and accounting for all funds collected." There was absolutely no staging or sale setup whatsoever. His one person -- an ornery old lady "honey" -- came and priced a few things. My favorite was the free sample of something from a doctor priced at $50. Another was the plastic salad bowl at $80. Then there was the broken piece of hardware from a cabinet -- priced at $15. Oh and the long-expired bottle of apple juice priced at $10. Don't believe me? See my pictures. And we have so many pictures. Per our contract, there was to be "pricing [and] tagging." Less than 10% of the items had price tags. Things were piled up everywhere -- no organization whatsoever either day. Everything was torn apart and pulled onto the floor Friday with absolutely nothing done before Saturday. Not one single thing in 7 walk-in closets had been priced. Per our contract, it was to be well-staffed and have "cashiers." One person -- his son, who stayed on his phone -- and "honey." (Btw at the end, she brought in all her friends and relatives to take whatever they wanted. When I questioned her, she cussed like a sailor.) Per our contract there would be an accounting of "items sold and funds collected." We received nothing. Of course, Mr. Clark couldn't have known. He was not there at any time. Just the "honey" collecting the money not in a cash box with any accounting, but actually in her pockets! Unbelievable. We have never ever seen an estate sale anything like this. It was a total joke. We are all heartbroken. Our mother's things that my family would never have let go of had we known. He showed up Monday making huge promises and making it clear family is not allowed to come during the sale. We never saw him again the rest of the week. There was no one there most of the week. Find this hard to believe? So did we! But it was over and done. We made a horrible mistake in choosing him. I have been surprised to hear from friends who had similar experiences with him. Don't you make the same heartbreaking and expensive mistake. Again, don't believe me -- we have pictures that we are glad to share with you (many more than posted here). And I have the names of the others who he has cheated.
