A fabulous mountain restaurant above Zermatt Only 62chf for bed and breakfast too so highly recommend to walk up (45 mins) from Zermatt for a basic Swiss dinner and stay the night. The only way to get to this place is a 45 minute uphill hike. It's beautiful..in and out of shade alongside a waterfall most of the way. We had the iced tea which did not have any ice, but was good nonetheless. It was fruity and cinnamon-ie...very refreshing!! We also had carrot cake which is supposed to be famous. It was solid. But the major factor driving our enjoyment was that the owner gets to town by foot about once a week. That is charming and just plain awesome. So get off your lazy booties and go eat some carrot cake!! read more
