It's the only music shop in Nelson, BC, so practically every musician and Selkirk College music student (such as myself) in town pretty much shops here at one point or another.
It's a small store, but that's expected. In a town like Nelson, they don't have multi-level, big box music stores that I'm used to seeing in Vancouver but I like it better because staff actually say hi to you when you walk in and . The selection of music books is quite limited, as it seems to be mostly "teacher yourself to play X instrument" and collections of popular songs. They carry The Real Book of jazz standards, which I think every jazz musician should have, but it's sold out at the moment. It must be all those Selkirk music students from last year.
If you happen to be in Nelson, BC and you happen to need strings, blank sheet music, tuners, or instruments, Eddy is your place to go.
There is a guitar/bass technician that works for the shop, but he only works certain days a week. read more
