When the workers show up to the worksite, it's all business and they work in unison. They are good about cleaning up the area. In this case, the company showed up to my mom's house to do repairs on a roof another company had messed up. DO NOT trust everyone who tells you they can do it for less, especially if they do not have the skill set to do the work correctly. For my mom, this was a lesson learned. One thing is clear: Mr. Castro personally ensures and approves the work done by his employees. He is a perfectionist and takes pride in his work. Mr. Castro uses quality standards and quality materials. He once mentioned to me that quality materials do not matter if the workmanship suffers. In his case, Mr Castro offers both quality materials and a high level of expertise. I trust Castro's Roofing with my roof and those of my family and friends. His work ethic is unparalleled in the area. I truly recommend him.

He and his crew reported to the work site very early each morning and continued working diligently every single day for almost two weeks. The summer heat did not impact their outstanding work in any way. Mr. Castro worked with hand in hand with his crew and kept providing me with updates on progress frequently throughout each day. I can tell you that his attention to quality and detail is like no other. He even came back willingly to touch up an area that he found to not meet his high standards. Mr. Castro is a true professional who is committed to excellence. Most importantly, his integrity and honesty sets a new standard in the roofing business. I highly recommend Castro Roofing and will continue working with him as needed. Castro Roofing is indeed a five star plus operation.

Overall, by RGV standards, this builder builds a decent house... however he doesn't like to stand…read morebehind his work. Even though you receive a one year warranty with your home purchase, he fights you when it comes to fixing things! Our backyard started to sink in several places, causing the grass to flood and die... and as the ground sank, it made the sprinkler heads stick way out of the ground. Majority of the sinking was directly along the irrigation lines... In other words, you can see where the piping was laid without even mapping it out. He claims it was our dog that made the ground sink... In perfect symmetrical lines leading to the sprinklers- lol. He tried defending his work by pointing out that it was sinking along another irrigation line but that the grass hadn't died in that spot... It's like he believes as long as the grass can grow over the trench, it's quality work. In the end, he said he doesn't cover the yard in the one year warranty. But in reality, it's not just yard issues he fights his buyers on... We've been in our new home for a little over 5 months and he just recently finished replacing our fireplace after he broke the initial one during installation. At first, he fought replacing the fireplace as well until we took it apart in front of him and proved that he had never removed a cap that was supposed to be removed and had screwed it down into the regulator, breaking it. He is gaining a bad reputation when it comes to repairs and doesn't always stand by his promise to build a "quality home".
