But today hit different for me. I have had a HORRIBLE day. I went in, not interested to talk to anyone, just to get my stuff and leave. I got several items because I was the one doing the store run for a birthday party later this evening. I did end up having to ask a question about an item and the gentleman was right on top of it and knew his stock without even having to go searching. I got up to the counter and was greeted with a huge smile and kind attitude from the young lady working the cash register. She was so sweet even though I know you could read on my face that I was in a terrible mood. (I know I had the worst resting B*tch face ever and there was no hiding it) Then the same gentleman who had answered my question before, immediately without hesitation grabbed my stuff off the counter as I was paying, and carried it out to my car for me. He was very friendly on the way to my car. They both acted as if they were there at work because they enjoy it, rather than just because it was their job and they have to make a pay check. I thanked this gentleman as he was walking away and told him I was having a horrible day but they made it a little better, but as I was pulling away I noticed I had a smile on my face and even though my day has been so horrible they really did put me in a better mood. Honestly right now in this time, it's hard to find anyone who is willing to show up everyday and work. It's damn near impossible to find someone to do it as if they enjoy it and give that kind of service. I would definitely say this is the Chick-fil-A of liquor stores. Got the marrow bones and some knuckles and some specialty sauces to try. Plenty of frozen homemade stuff to try at a later date. Cajun foods. A friend of mine recommended this winery a month or so ago and today I was able to bask in the moments created here. I would like to suggest visiting the website before visiting. The "PaBella" history had such an impact on my visit. As a first timer, I witnessed the staff and rapport they have with local patrons. When I walked in and looked to my left, the first face I saw was Bella and she flashed this BEAUTIFUL Colgate smile back at me. We arrived early enough for me to snag a few pics before guests settled in. There was a food truck and live music. Definitely a plus! I elected to try a flight of wines and was able to sample the slushies as well. The establishment and restrooms are CLEAN! It was a bit crisp out until the heaters were turned on. Situated in the middle of nowhere, but immediately off the exit, Lafayette Beverage is an extensive warehouse with solid selection of bottles ranging from wine to liquor to beer. Prices are on average 5-10% below fair market value. The wines purchased here were of good quality and were clearly handled properly in terms of temperatures before reaching the store. Oh and they even have some solid cigars. As this place appears to be more catering to passers by on the interstate, there is a very clean restroom as well. Thus, Lafayette Beverage gets all the thumps up as a stop over liquor and wine warehouse.
