The staff member could not find our reservation in their computer. We booked the room at 8:58 PM. We even gave them our confirmation # from the email we got. Still nothing. Another staff member checked their computer and found our name in it, but still claimed their was no reservation in their system. We were next asked to provide our membership number. Even though we showed them the number on our App, we were told the number was showing as invalid. They said they could book us a room, even though the app and email clearly showed we had booked a room in their hotel. We had to pay for the room they booked us. Now we will have to sort out being double charged. It was ironic we had to initial that if we smoked in our room we would have to pay $150 cleaning fee, as the lobby reeked of cigarette smoke. There were guests with the exterior doors at the end of the hallway propped open. They were smoking on the stoop. It took over 15 minutes to finally get a room at 10:30 at night, by the time we were done our eyes and throats were burning from the smoke coming down the hallways through the lobby. No apologies were made to us, we probably won't receive our rewards points as they claimed our number was invalid. Time for some staff customer service training on how to still make guests feel valued even when things go wrong.

Rooms and common areas are always clean. Room furniture is comfortable. Can't ask for much more. Breakfast is nothing fancy but it's good and always fresh and warm. I'm leaving this review because I wish someone else had left a warning…read more My family and I were not permitted to sit in the lobby after arriving in the middle of the night. We had been in a car accident and our car was un-drive-able . Cat at the front desk told us we were loitering and needed to leave even after I explained we were just waiting for AAA. I had my elderly mother and 2 young kids with me while my husband was outside trying to see the extent of the damage. It was freezing outside and Cat said if we didn't leave she would call the police. I said we had no where to go and she said that was not her problem. She claimed she called her manager to verify the Hampton Inn's policy for our situation, but when we called her manager in the morning we found out that she lied, never made any calls, and the Hampton Inn's policy did not mean we needed to be thrown out in the freezing cold. Cat is clearly unstable, malicious, and hateful. I would not feel safe in any place of business that employed her. She's a liability and the hotel is aware of this, and from what I can see no disciplinary actions were taken. To think it's appropriate to call the police on a family looking for a safe place to wait for a tow truck at night in the middle of winter in our current political environment is a sign of extremely poor judgment. This hotel is clearly "WHITES ONLY". If you're BIPOC ** BEWARE ** (see photo).

There was a youth sports team spiriting about when I was there, so it was not the quietest place I've been. Even when things settled down when the evening got into the double digits, I could still hear someone in the room next to me sawing logs. The walls are not the thickest. The breakfast offerings were prototypical of most hotels these days - a little on the uninteresting and disappointing side. I did not get a chance to use the pool, but one is available if you're looking for it. It was a very serviceable stay, but I don't think I'd want to visit there for longer than a couple days.

The room got nice and cold at night. I read some reviews that complained about noise from the highway but we didn't hear anything at all. It came with breakfast included, which I thought I'd read was continental, but when we went down there was eggs, bacon, waffles, etc. The staff was also very, very kind. We walked in and the front desk clerk offered our girls cookies, and in the morning another packaged up waffle syrup in a cup so my husband could bring breakfast upstairs to us, totally unprompted. It isn't a luxury resort by any stretch, but it's an incredible value that felt safe and clean for my family to recharge for a night before getting back on the road. Editing to add: The room had a fridge, microwave, and hair dryer. I also saw on the Marriott website a "package" that would include free parking, they don't charge for parking so don't let that throw you off.

Y'all, this motel is a complete scam…read more When we first arrived, we noticed a few unkempt things, including the cracked floor in the sink area that was just taped down with clear packing tape, mold in the footboard in the bathroom, an unknown stain on the sheets on the bed, etc., but we just figured we could deal with it for the weekend and never return. Well we left to get some food, and after we returned to the room and ate, we were relaxing on the bed and noticed there was a flea jumping around on the bed and onto our arms. Worried there would be more, we took the sheets off the bed, and instead of finding more fleas, we found bed bug droppings! We then thought we should look a little more in depth to see if we could find any actual bed bugs, so we pulled the whole bed away from the wall, and it was completely dirty and disgusting behind the bed. There was a condom wrapper, someone's hair tie, a cigarette butt (keep in mind this was listed as a "non-smoking" room), and there was so much dust and crumbs, just awful. So, very disgusted, we took our concerns to the woman at the front desk. My partner calmly and politely asked for a refund, and the woman first tried to ask if we wanted to just switch rooms, to which we replied we just wanted a refund and to leave, so she went and grabbed the owner and he started to question what our problem was. We reiterated the issue to him, and he started to raise his voice, saying that his rooms don't ever have any bug problems, and that we can either stay the night or leave, but either way we were not going to receive a refund. So my partner told him that we were going to call the health inspector to check his motel, and he yelled at us and told us, "go ahead!" Unfortunately, the health department was closed, so we had to call the police department to report this, and they ended up just sending out an officer. Once the officer arrived, we just explained the whole situation to him, he confirmed with us that what was on the bed were indeed bed bug droppings, and he told us that they get a lot of calls about the owner of this motel and that him and his family are not very nice people. After he left, we started to pack and noticed that there was also an exposed wire on the ground by the TV, mold growing on a drawer in the dresser in the room, and someone left their razor in the shower. We go back to the front desk to tell them we're leaving and we're here to give them back their room keys, and at first the front desk woman just repeated what had been said before, that we wouldn't receive a refund, and my partner just told them that we're going to leave a horrible review for all of the mistreatment and how disgusting the room was. The woman then proceeds to start yelling at us, saying we're "talking bad to her," then goes and grabs the owner, and we tell him that we're leaving, so he said, "Okay, then go!" And all we said was we didn't know if we needed to officially check out and just wanted to leave the room keys, all the while he's still yelling at us and telling us, "just get out, quit causing so many problems, you like to start trouble," etc. We said nothing else, started walking out the door, and here comes the owner trailing behind us, calling us "motherf***ers," and "stupid a-holes," and threatens to call the police, even though we never raised our voices, never cussed at them, never threatened them, we just quietly walked out, got into our vehicle, and drove away. To anyone who actually reads this whole thing, I know this probably just seems like a silly, made up story, but I promise you it's not. This really happened. That motel is absolutely disgusting, the owners are very horrible, unmannered, and rude, and it doesn't help either that most other people staying at that motel really aren't great company either. Other hotels/motels may be a little more expensive, but trust me, it is so worth it to just spend the extra money to be somewhere else.

Since we were staying for one night on our way up north and one more on our way back, we decided to save some money and go with the Travel Lodge. We called to make our reservations and talked with the owner. He assured us we would have the best room for our needs. When we got there we found our room was just right and of course it was very clean even though a bit dated. That didn't matter to us. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room to move around. The bathroom was also what we needed as my mom uses a walker. We slept well and the next day we were on our way for the rest of our trip. When we reached our destination we checked into our "high end" hotel and I was astonished. The room was so small that the 2 beds took up all the space. The beds were so high that we had to go out and buy step stools just so we could get into them and so soft that I felt I was rolling out half the time. The bathroom was so tiny that mom could not close the door with her walker. Plus the toilet was so low to the ground we could barely get up, When we went to get breakfast it was a brown bag. When we were heading back home I could not wait to get back to the Travel Lodge where the room made sense and was comfortable. There may not be all the amenities of the "high end" hotels, but we were more comfortable and treated with great kindness. As for me and my family, the Travel Lodge is our halfway stopping point. Thank you Travel Lodge. We wish you well.

We got this hotel online for 47$ per night and figured it couldn't be bad since it was a known chain . Wrong! The room had an obvious urine odor upon entering, there was a round toilet seat on an elongated bowl which meant you had to hover to avoid touching the actual toilet bowl . The toilet wouldn't flush. There was no interior locking mechanism like a dead bolt or such. When I grabbed my bag to leave in the morning, a cockroach ran from underneath!
