Absolutely deplorable. I had reserved a room and had checked in to it for roughly 30 minutes total. Upon walking in, the floor was completely unswept. There were many toenail clipping and various dirt and debris on the floor. The jacuzzi had hair and more spots that were clearly not cleaned. The shower had a large spot in the corner where something had been spilled on the wall, and the curtain had a stain on it. There was also a clump of hair in the shower drain. Beside the bed there was a sticky spot on the floor. The pillow cases had hair and yellow stains, and there were bits of food under the mattress pad. The dresser under the TV had a stain of some assortment as well. After bringing this up to the front desk, I had asked for a cleaner to go up and take care of the room, but cleaning staff was not available, so I had asked to borrow cleaning supplies. After sweeping the floor and cleaning parts of the jacuzzi, I came to my senses and went back down to return the cleaning supplies and demand a refund. Needless to say, we obviously did not sleep in that room. The most appalling part of this transaction was the fact that the soaps had been restocked and the towels had been as well, which means someone went into that room and decided it was customer worthy. I have waited 5 days for any sort of response to this dilemma, to no avail. Anytime I call down there, there is never management available. This is not how any establishment should treat their patrons. They took my money and might as well have told me to get lost. Horrible. Cries. This was a bad stay. For $100 maybe it's ok, but I couldn't sleep the whole night so this gets one star. The bath tub was dirty. The sheets looked dirty as well. There was a cigarette hole in the blanket...I thought this place was smoke free?? There was also a horrible smell to the room. The pillows were not comfortable. The breakfast room was tiny. This is a nice affordable hotel for somebody on a budget who doesn't wanna stay at the beg bug inn but yet can't afford the Marriott. The staff I encountered were very nice my room was clean and comfortable. They only thing is I was looking forward to the hot tub but it was out of service. I will be staying again this weekend so hopefully I have the chance to enjoy it this time around. read more

This was probably one of the dirtiest hotels I've ever stayed at in my life. I stayed here with my 2 and 4 year old and couldn't even give them a bath because the bath tub looked as though it had never been cleaned before. Someone's dirty old rubber band was laying on the tub right next to the drain plug. There were crumbs/stains in the sheets and looked like little hairs as well. They also couldn't provide me with a crib for my son so I was up most of the night making sure my kids didn't fall off the bed. I didn't complain or change rooms because I was too emotionally exhausted to do that at 9pm at night...now looking back I wish I would have but I doubt any other of the rooms would have been any better. I was thoroughly grossed out and honestly a little surprised we didn't get any bug bites. I didn't realize $106 for the night would get me this but I wish I would have paid the extra $60 for the La Quinta down the street. The ONLY reason I'm giving this hotel 2 stars rather than one is because the girl at the front desk was nice and helpful and the free breakfast in the morning was pretty decent. read more

Aside from all the unnecessary stress and false accusations, the breakfast was bad and the eating area is crammed. The walls are paper thin and I could clearly hear someone snoring behind my head. There is a terrible stench in the rooms, that can only be covered up for a short while. Slept poorly from all the noise. Why this place had good reviews I do not know. The doors still slammed horribly like at all Choice hotels, but I'm willing to give this manager credit for at least putting up some form of a pad between the doors to at least attempt to mitigate the violent shaking of walls and beds every time someone enters or leaves a room, even though this still was the case. Just a depressing place all around. Be wary of an unusually large deposit for a cheap Choice hotel like this folks, I unfortunately only now realize it probably means they're crooks. Was absolutely ROBBED $100 deposit for a $50 room, because the housekeepers suddenly discovered a crack in a plastic bin that goes in the mini fridge. I never touched or opened the fridge. I am a gold member, have stayed in hundreds of hotels, and never once been charged my deposit until this very unpleasant man, the young Chinese male manager Carson. "You did this, you're being charged for WHAT YOU DID." Just absurd. Expedia should strongly reconsider listing this because I believe it is only a matter of time before something very bad happens with the way he antagonizes and escalates situations. I overheard him say charge my room number just after checking out and before I'd even said anything I get a hostile, "You're being charged for this." Not a, "I'm sorry sir, but...." No, just hostility and aggression right off the bat when I'd had no interaction other than thanking him for fixing his non-functioning tv as he coldly stood there saying nothing. Ironically before 10 am I was startled presumably by the fridge and drawer beneath the tv being slammed into my wall from the room next to me, by housekeeping. Not only that, but seconds after I first checked into the room, the tv was not working because the wires had come off and been disconnected. So before I was in there clearly there was a racket going on around the fridge. Carson the manager himself, came in with a wrench, moved the fridge out of the way to fix it, and sliding it hard, slammed the fridge back against the drawer into place. Despite knowing all of this, he was completely unreasonable and would only antagonize and accuse. This is a disgrace and shame on Choice Hotels and hotels.com for listing this place. I will make a conscious effort to avoid all hotels associated with Choice Hotels going forward. They're all loud, dirty and terrible in some form or another anyway. I am amazed at how I was treated, with having the police fake called on me and being screamed at as soon as I brought up that it was he alone who touched the fridge during my stay. I wasted the Pueblo police's time thinking I had to explain the situation, as it is apparently a crime-ridden area with considerable gang activity and was told they had been responding to a shooting. read more

We stayed here 7/31/2019 at 5:40pm got a nice clean room On the first floor. The room was across from the ice machine, vending machines, close to the front desk and laundry room, breakfast room. The front desk staff were very nice and helpful!!! . The bed was comfortable I was happy to have a refrigerator, microwave, hair dryer in the room. I gave them a 4 star rate because of the short breakfast hours. I especially loved the fact that a Starbucks is in walking distance! I would stay there again. read more

I had a screaming child across the hall from me. The first 2 nights I was patient and thought those poor parents. Well the 3rd night it went on from 1:30 to 4:30. Slamming doors, screaming kid in the hall. I called the front desk twice. No answer. I got 1 hour of sleep if that. I missed an 8:00 event that following morning. I went to the front desk and told them. Said they would have the manager call me. When I returned that evening I asked for a different room because I could here the kid screaming again and I was not going through a 4th night of interrupted sleep. They would do nothing. I left and went to a different hotel. I had to pay for the 4th night anyways. This is the WORST place for caring about existing clients AND children. I told them I thought they were leaving the child unattended and they did NOTHING!!! Unbelievable!!! I am a repeat customer, BUT NO MORE! This is beyond me being uncomfortable and sleep deprived. Quite honestly... This place doesnt even deserve a one star. I booked a room through Expedia and unfortunately due to the other individual in my party who is a friend of mine sustained injuries after being involved in a horrific car accident on July 16th which involved multiple vehicles and a head on collision into a concrete barrier. I went online to cancel but unfortunately I got an email referring to my check in at the location. I immediately went online to cancel yet a second time. After doing so, I immediately placed a call to the hotel and spoke to a vey sweet girl on Saturday, July 20th who provided a cancellation number and assured it was cancelled given the circumstances. Next, I called Expedia who assured it was cancelled but also took the initiative to contact the same representative at the hotel to confirm cancelation and verified that there will be absolutely no charge. Today, July 22nd, I saw my bank account only to find the funds were taken out. Around 3pm, I contacted the hotel and spoke to a man who was rude, interrupted me, and has absolutely no idea of what it means to de-escalate a situation as someone who represents a place of business. This individual told me to give him 10 mins, he has a long line of customers that he needs to check in! I was upset as limited funds were in my account and i needed gas. I addressed this with him only to be told that if I am rude then he is not going to help me. Seconds later I found out his name is Jay Chow who informed me he is the OWNER of the hotel and after he said he was not going to help me if im rude, he disconnected the call on me. I showed up to the hotel, waited in line for quite some time which may have been 15 or more mins. Upon approaching the front, 40 mins passed, he began to shout at me, interrupt me, threaten me. He made me wait even longer but couldnt give me a definite answer as to what happened - 'it could possibly be an authorization.' He told me not to lecture him, he was going to check in all the other guests which i had already waited for the 4 in front of me and he refused to help me and instead wanted to help all 4 ppl behind me. This individual told me he has a million dollar business, so I could sue him because he doesnt care for my 119.00. I told him I was just as much of a customer as any other person in that lobby. I asked for documentation showing theres no charge. When I mentioned him being the owner and handling the situation; yelling at me, hanging up on me, refusing to help me, he immediately cut me off and threatened to call the police on me and have me arrested for trespassing despite him never asking nor telling me to leave the property while pleading w him that I need this documenation. Sadly, I had to wait even longer for two pieces of paper while witnessing this man not activly listening to customers, not knowing prices, discounts, customers rooms not being cleaned prior to checking in, not knowing the system and these folks wait and wait and wait. Once he had handed me the paperwork (over an hour later) I told him that I wasnt there to cause problems, i had worked hospitality for almost 4 yrs and had he have told me it was an authorization, I would have understood including if he had a long line of customers to assist. As a result, I was refused assistance, I was yelled at on the phone, hung up on, yelled at in my face, talked down to, embarrassed and degraded not only infront of his customers but also infront of his staff. To add insult to injury, threatened to have the police called on me. Ive followed through with a complaint w the corporate office, I will be following up with the better business bureau as well and any other channels I must go through. I recorded the entire encounter on video. Charlene Bueno responded about my review on google with policy, procedures, sorry about my personal problems. If this was an authorization that was to take place on at 4pm on Saturday, why did they do this 'authorization' on Monday???? Another response, she stated I was the one who caused the scene. I walked in last night at 11:30pm and the receptionist was very polite and ready to assist me. From first view walking in everything looked very clean. I loved this place is non smoking. The hallways and my room very clean. I had one room with two queen beds, little fridge and microwave. I'm taking a road trip and all my family and I wanted to do was sleep and take a shower for the night. The pressure of the water is excellent, beds comfortable. They have continental breakfast from 6-9am and the service lady just kept replenishing what was needed and cleaning around. Everything very fresh!!! I was squeamish last night on the place I was going to put my family in since it was a last minute thing but I was extremely satisfied with my choice. I will totally recommend EconoLodge for your stay and also affordable prices!!!! read more

The cleanliness of the room was incredibly poor. The floors were sticky, had food and glitter on the floor and after my children walked around a few minutes their feet were literally covered in dirt. The sheets had never been changed as there was popcorn and debris inside the sheets. There were also towels left in the bathroom from the previous tenant. The real reason for my one star review was that the owner, Victor took no responsibility and was dismissive when I went to speak to him about the state of my room. He blamed me for not informing them when I walked in. I didn't realize the state was so bad when we checked in because we dropped our things off and left for dinner. At the time I did see how gross the room was it was late and they were at capacity so I didn't think there was much they could do. While I didn't want compensation I did expect and apology and responsibility taken. I also feel the pictures are not clear of "what you get" and the rating is entirely to high on yelp. read more

Hello, My Name is micheala. I booked with econo lodge for may 29-30 for my mother in law that is traveling from texas to Washington by vehicle to come see her son ( who is in the military ). my mother in law called the hotel and spoke with someone at the front desk who let her know they would not be charging the card on file ( which is mine ) until she got there. well I looked like three hours later and they charged my card. My mother in law called and the lady at the front desk would not even let my mother in law speak she kept cutting her off and procedded to tell her that the hotel takes a hold for the exact price of the stay and then when you get there you have to pay the full price again, and then hung up. I called because the booking was on my card and under my name. I asked to speak with Someone about a reservation and was trying to let her know what happened and she cut me off and said if you don't want to listen to what I have to say then I will hang up, I advised her I was just trying to explain what was going on and she hung up. I called three more times and she would not answer the phone. I tried a fourth time and she answered again and was really snappy and rude I asked her for the manager and she told me she is the manager and then hung up, I called again to get corporate number and she said you can look that up if you keep calling I will call the cops, which is funny because I did nothing wrong and all calls were recorded. I will be taking this into further actions and will have her felt with. she was nothing but a rude bitch that wanted to bully people on the phone. my god she works as a hotel receptionist making minimum wage and has no respect for others, this place really needs to look at the people they hire. I called with no intention of canceling my hotel ( which I did not ) she cancelled my hotel without my knowledge and stole money from me. now my family is driving 14 hours to Pueblo and has had this reservation booked for over a month and now nowhere to stay last minute. this will not be the end of what happened today. read more

Loved my stay at the EconoLodge in Pueblo, CO. The staff was friendly and informative. The rooms were quiet...even above the pool/hot tub room where we stayed. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The continental breakfast was way more to be expected. Saved us a lot of money on breakfast. My ONE and ONLY complaint which is kinda big is that the beds are horrible. Hard and very uncomfortable. Woke up sore daily but the hot tub made up for that. While traveling through 10 States in 2 weeks with my family, I had the worse experience that we have had in years of traveling at the Econo Lodge in Pueblo, CO. I called and asked the front manager a question about the WiFi and was instantly attacked with aggressive and hostile words. Completely unprofessional and immature. This man even threatening me with leaving the hotel. When I asked for his supervisor, he said he was it. So I can only assume he was the owner. The man only referred to himself as Carson and said call corporate if I had a problem. My experience was so bad that I will never stay at an Econo Lodge again. If the owner feels that he can attack and treat his patrons in this manner at the drop of a hat, I'm sure this has happened before and will advise others to stay away from this hotel. As a teacher who travels often, this has been the worse behavior I have ever experienced out of an employee of a hotel and it was the owner. There are other hotels in the area that are the same price and actually have WiFi that works. Save yourself the grief if you need it while traveling and stay someplace else. Plus there is a better chance to not be verbally attacked by the owner. read more

This location was exceptional!! very clean and the staff was excellent. i used the indoor pool/jacuzzi which was clean and just what i needed after driving from Phoenix in one shot! will stop by again next time i am in the area and say hi to Sam! read more

The rooms were fan and clean. The lady at the desk was great. The breakfast area is extremely small. The continental style is all in a corner, with just 1 toaster and microwave. Granted there was a convention in town, but way too small, and bad layout. Went to the Country Kitchen down the road, had a good breakfast. Upon checking in we found our reservation had been changed and the price we were going to pay was different. We requested the manager, because the poor girl working the front desk was completely clueless. The manager barely said two words to us and didn't acknowledge the issues. He fixed the issue but didn't apologize for the inconvenience or issues. When we got up to the room it wasn't very clean, just felt gross. Around 6 am our neighbor was playing the tv extremely loudly. I called to complain but it took them almost 30 minutes to handle anything. Overall I was very disappointed in my experience considering every trip I've taken to this hotel has always been pleasant. Then later they charged me $150 for burns on the bedding. I told the manager we didn't even use one of the beds and he didn't care. He just stated that he believed his staff. I was super sick during this stay, having bronchitis in the middle of a trip and didn't get out of bed other than to shower and leave. I know there were no burns on any of the bedding as I was right there. I am not the customer who damages property because I'm not looking to lay extra money to anyone. I do not believe their staff and my overall experience was a joke. I have never been treated so poorly by a hotel I have frequented numerous times and swear to never visit this establishment again. read more

The management at this hotel is some of the rudest most offensive management I have ever encountered. After reserving a week at their hotel at check in I was offhandedly accused of credit card fraud in front of my children. And even though I had paid for my room with a credit card I was made to pay $100 cash deposit. I am in Pueblo spending spring break here with my children and that $100 deposit has taken away from the activities that we could do on our stay here. I attempted to speak with the management and he became very aggressive continuing to treat me like he thought I was scum and made me want to get away from him immediately. No customer should ever be made to feel this way ever. I recommend you stay away from this terrible hotel unless you prefer to be treated like a criminal in front of your children. After posting this review the management called my room and told me if I wanted to leave and forfiet the non refundable payment would be the only way I would be getting my deposit. We checked in at night, and unfortunately we had to deal with an extremely sassy employee at the front desk. She kept answering the phones and booking reservations, while I was still standing there with my crying baby. I finally politely said, "Excuse me, is there someone else who can help me?" As I needed to get to a room ASAP, and didn't want to wait for her to keep answering phone calls (I've worked in customer service jobs for years, and would ALWAYS help someone in person first)! She finally said, "I can multitask. I'm working on yours too. And to answer your question, no, there's no one else here to help you." She then proceeded to tell me my room was on the second floor and there was no elevator. I had all of our luggage, a baby, and a toddler, and she didn't offer to help. This Econo Lodge was clean and a good simple place to stay for the night. We found the bed very comfortable and had no issues or problems with it. I wasn't happy about the tub stopper failing to work so I jammed soap and a washcloth in there and that was enough for me to bathe...I would give them a 3 star rating due to this, but my husband claims MOST travelers prefer a shower anyway and I'm the weird one. For being very busy on a weekend night and quite loud before 10 pm, it quieted right down after that and was peaceful for sleeping despite being near some busy roads. We did have problems exiting the parking lot due to police cars blocking the lot, but this was not the fault of Econo Lodge whatsoever, and this did not seem like a "dangerous" hotel, I think it was some kind of isolated incident. It's pretty close to several breakfast options if you prefer to dine out, and has continental breakfast as well (we went out so I don't know the details on that). However it is not in a walkable location or close to downtown, make no mistake there. The pool and hot tub were clean and well maintained too. I am going to start by saying that Charlene is amazing on the front desk. Her manager and owners are not even close. Our welcome to Pueblo on the first day of our trip was our back glass smashed in and most of our camping supplies stolen. I was told the cameras in the parking lot do not work. When I asked for some assistance on staying another night due to having to wait for the glass to come in and replace camping equipment, I was told the manager said there is nothing he can do. Really? Not even a discounted night? Nope. Talked to Charlene at the desk and she hooked us up with a great rate in Pueblo West's Econolodge. I learned from the police officer that took our report that there has been a rash of thefts at the hotels along I25 on the north side of Pueblo. Use caution if you stay on the north side of Pueblo. This location's management is not helpful or caring when your trip takes a turn for the worst. I do not recommend staying here. read more

The room we had should not cost 89 dollars plus tax! No more than 60 per night in our opinion. Room smelled bad, stained carpet and 80s style border paper. The worst thing was the holes in the blankets. Could have handled everything else but no holes in the blankets for the love of God. Excessively priced.
