Beanstalk has some frustratingly limited hours, making it difficult to patronize on the regular…read more(especially during the work week!), but when you do manage to get in the door, there's some fantastic treasures to be found here. Although it is primarily a consignment children's clothing store, you'll also find no shortage of wonderful, analog toys to plant the seeds of imagination in your little ones, in the hope that they'll sprout into clever, intelligent, fully-functioning, not-screen-addicted adults! This must be a conscious choice, because I could find nary an electronic device anywhere in the shop! Big kudos from me on that point alone! As for the clothing, let's just say, you're spoilt for choice. While some of the items are a little on the pricier side than I would like for a consignment shop, the quality of the clothing here is impeccable: clean, well-organized, and a healthy variety of sizes and styles. Everything you could need for any age, from newborn and toddler, up through the early grade school years: shirts, pants, dresses, hats, coats, shoes (TONS of shoes!), costumes, and all sorts of accessories! There's also a small selection of baby stuff in the back, including cribs, swings, and a host of different devices that I have no clue as to their function, but will assuredly be learning about them in the coming months (my wife is due next month)! In the last year, I have come to learn that shopping for a new child sucks, mostly because there is a dearth of places that have any quantity of clothing and accessories, outside of the big box stores, which I would prefer not to frequent, if possible. Thankfully, Beanstalk is here to pick up the slack, but you DO have to make an effort to get here during operating hours, particularly if you work during the week: Saturday (from 10am to 5pm) is your only real available option.

Yes, Beanstalk is a bit on the pricier side in terms of consignment stores, but I did find a number of goodies for each of my kiddos from PJ's to swim wear to toys. I loved the shoes, rain boots, and rain gear selection they had and lots of Hanna Anderson, Columbia, and like clothing. Friendly staff. I would def recommend a stop here. *Street parking

I am both a consigner and a regular shopper here. Whenever I shop I leave with several bags of…read moreclothes at $2-$3 a piece. Coupons are key to savings but even if you don't arrive with any there are some to use there and also an in store sale going on. Generally get a seasons worth of clothes in each visit. If you don't see what you want in your size the owner will pull out back stock for you to look through that is really well sorted by size, or if you are looking for off season things she can pull those too. As a consigner I tend to make about $40 every 3 months for the clothes I consign. Since the sell price is so low this may not seem like a lot but since I bought most of the clothes by now from there or received them at gifts I think I am getting a good return. I send all my momma friends there but will remember not to send my mamma friends that have the same size girls as I do the week before I go because they take all my treasures.

Their eclectic attire allows the whimsicle in every girl to be shown! I read the review by the other gal, and i am absolutely taken back by it. I have been in CHH many of times and found them to be absolutely friendly and outgoing to me. I am a lady who adores my own curves and embraces them with confidence. The selection of dresses and silhouettes presented to me was awesome and i found myself loving some aspect of every design. I like how every garment is different and not one is alike, it adds value and uniqueness to the store. I feel bad that Aimee had a hard time finding something that she loved in the Store, but i feel like if you were to come into the store knowing what they have and who their target market is, it would be completely inevitable to NOT love the store and want to go back for more. I am a very loyal customer to CHH and i appreciate their willingness to sustain a "Green" environment and clothing. When it comes to their clothing having "Stains" and "tear holes" in the lace, i think that the consumer needs to remember that this is vintage fabric, hand dyed and repurposed to create a specific vintage look to the attire. Every garment has its flaws, but for a specific reason and to create individuality throughout the designs presented in the store. I have spoken with the workers, and they buy garments out of the store because they love them and want to show off what the designers creates and is selling. It is also a very good way to show how to style the clothing and what to wear it with. Even though what they are wearing is not "buyable" for a customer right in front of them, it was once a good that could've been purchased. In that case, it is necessary to check into the store once a week or bi-weekly to see what new items the designers has brought in, since she is creating on a daily basis and restocking on a daily basis. When going to Camp Hollyhock, have in your mind that they are a whimsical company that is run off of the love of family and design. Basically, you get what you see when you walk in there and i feel that it is very important to check into the store once a week to see what new inventory they have and to try on multiple dresses of the same size, because not one thing fits the same. I am an AVID CAMP HOLLYHOCK LOVER! and i appreciate their one of a kind business :)
