A few moths ago they charged $12.00 to go from Huntington Bay to the train station. The fare has gone up to $18.00, and I was told when I called to complain that management tells them to charge that for getting in the cab. My son went from the house to the station via Eco taxi, but missed his train--they made him wait over an hour for a cab--because they said they thought he was a prank caller. Absolutely horrible experiences with this taxi service. First Experience- Was told they could pick me up from the train station and was supposed to call once I got on the train to give them an hour heads up to pick me up only to have them not answer the phone after multiple calls and leave me stranded at the train station without so much as an apology. Had to go to a different train station in order to get another taxi service, otherwise I would have been stuck in the middle of no where. Second Experience-Tried giving them another chance. Called an hour ahead for a pick up, they told me they were too busy, but to call back in a hour and maybe they would be able to pick me up or not-leaving me stranded again if they were "too busy with airport runs". Although the pickup from our home was very good, the pick up from JFK was horrific! They left us waiting at the gate for over an hour. Dispatch said they had no drivers. Then car driver came in a disgusting car, full of air fresheners and with no gps. He had never picked anyone up from the airport before and was new at this job! I wish I could give less than one star. This was the first (and last)time I attempted to use Eco Taxi. I scheduled a pick up 4 hours ahead of time, and got a text confirmation that it was scheduled. Then I got two more confirmations that the driver had changed. Then, 15 mins before I was supposed to get picked up to be brought to the ferry, they canceled my ride (this third driver had a "family emergency") and said they had no other drivers available. What kind of taxi service cancels 15 minutes before with no backup????? LUCKILY, I was able to get an Uber for a lower cost and within 4 minutes of losing this joke of a transport. read more

I used this taxi three times and never waited less than an hour for them to pick me up at an airport, even though I gave them the flight information. This last time was the worst, even though I mentioned my disappointment about waiting so long the last two times. Ughhhh. Forget this taxi company. We were the last ones picked from our flight for sure. I think they dispatch when you call. After that call you wait for an hour or more! Very frustrating. Take the LIRR and the air train. We scheduled a pick up and the guy did not show. I was packing my luggage and did not have my phone on me. He called and left a message, which I did not see until the scheduled time of pick up. I would give 1 1/2 stars if possible. Pros: I was able to make a reservation for the same day. Car was clean. Driver was on time. Cons: The driver wanted me to walk outside of LaGuardia to get picked up. He kept on saying that he wasn't allowed to come into the airport because of the TLC tags. But when there are 100 cars in the arrival/pick up area and 98 of them have a TLC tag, that doesn't make sense. So I finally meet him in the arrivals section, and he is facetiming (or whatever the android equivalent is) someone. We get on our way and I had fallen asleep on the way. I woke up when he was getting off at the exit for my house. I see his GPS and see which way it is telling him to go. Just before the upcoming right turn to head towards my destination, he gets another facetime call from a woman. He totally missed the turn since he picked up that call while driving. When I told him he missed the turn, he at first attempted to make the right turn but we had gone too far passed the lane. I then had to direct him where to go before he hung up his facetime call. And even though I gave my credit card number and pre-paid by phone that morning, the driver had to swipe my card again which seemed shady to me. I've been keeping a close eye on my statements since. We ordered a taxi to seat seven people from Oyster Bay to NYC. Price was reasonable but when it arrived it turned out that the taxi only had three operating seat belts. This was dangerous and inappropriate. They shouldn't say they have seven seats if they only have three with seat belts. We took the car at the time because we had no alternative at the time and, unlike us, some of our companions didn't mind. But we felt it was dishonest and dangerous to drive a vehicle that can't provide all passengers with a safe way to ride. read more

I don't even want to give this one star!!! My husband and I used Eco taxi to get to JFK. We were not sure we would arrive in one piece or even get there at all. The driver could not keep the car in the lanes on the parkway. He actually drove off the road. We think he was falling asleep while driving and could not stay awake! Very scary to think a person would drive like this and put not only his life in danger, but also the lives of his passengers and eveyone else on he road. Also it is very concerning to us that a company would hire and continue to employ people that cannot do their job safely and professionally. We will NEVER use this company again! read more

It's the worst taxi! I wish I can choose 0 start. I called a eco taxi to go train station to catch the train for important meeting. They promised me they would come at 8:30am but they didin't. Therefore, I called again at 8:35 am to see if the taxi is on the way to pick me up. But then the driver called me back at 8:37am saying that he couldn't come. I called the eco taxi to tell them the situation but they just cut the line while I was still talking on the phone and they never picked up my call again. The dispatch person was rude and obnoxious in my opinion. I called explaining I needed transportation to urgent dr's appt in Huntington village from another village location. I was very specific about my address not being on gps and provided cross streets and my phone number. Instead they sent text with wrong address to the number from which I called. I called number and driver said I had to call dispatch. I called dispatch and the man berated me, said they use a system and kept speaking over me when I tried to relay a correct address. I asked if he could listen and stop speaking over me. He said, "I'll tell you what, why don't you call orange and white taxi," and hung up. WORST EVER. Called at 6pm, said I need a cab at 10pm. They said it's way too early to call, call back at 9. I call at 9m they say they do not have a driver on duty until 11pm. I call at 10:50, to make sure he is coming, dispatcher says he is "on the way". I call back at 11:10. they tell me he is "on the way"... he just left THE AIRPORT, and it will be "around 20 minutes". Wish I could give zero stars for the ZERO service I received. That is like in NO SERVICE as in NO SHOW! I even called the night before to confirm pick up for a very early flight out of LGA (note I said that "I" called; they did not call to confirm). They did, however, confidently say they had me on schedule for a 5am pick up from my home in East Northport. Great, I thought! I awoke at 3:30am to shower and prepare for the pick up. Five o'clock came and went, as did 5:10am and 5:15am...I called several times and got only a recording, no live person. Long story short, I was LUCKY to find somone at the eleventh hour to get me to the airport. By now it was 6am! No one wanted to take me as a last minute ride! I came within minutes of missing my plane, my stomach completely in a knot! I just NEED to understand how a car service can do this to trusting customers?!? Airline tickets cost hundreds of dollars. How is it that they feel it's okay to stand traveler's up like this?!? Incidentally, the great taxi that rescued me from almost certain disaster was Lindy's. I highly recommend them and I had Ralph as a driver who was wonderful . He told me that they often get frantic people calling them because their car service was a no show. How awful!! Wish I could give them a 0, what a terrible experience. I used their online scheduling app for to schedule a taxi for the next day and it took 10 hours for them to confirm the taxi. Then after getting the confirmation, I was put in touch with a driver who let me know I would not be allowed in the car until I paid the absurd $18 (for 2.5 miles) up front. I thought this was odd, but needed the taxi bad enough that I was willing to pay the fee and deal with the driver. I scheduled my taxi at 8:25 so I could catch a 9:00 train at Farmingdale. I called the driver and the dispatch and was not answered either time. At 8:40, my driver called to say that he was 12 minutes late and proceeded to ask if I really needed the cab or if he could just skip me and get on with his day. I explained my dilemma and the purpose of scheduling the taxi and he said that I shouldn't schedule a taxi within fifteen minutes of a train (it wouldn't have been 15 minutes if he showed up on time). As I explained that to him, he became very aggressive about me being more understanding, even though it was his job to be there on time.
