When your entire kitchen needs to be redone, construction can be a long process (especially when insurance is involved). Your contractor is the most important part of ensuring a smooth, successful outcome. There is no one I would rather have had overseeing this renovation than Shay. He coordinated his vendors -- a team of electricians, plumbers, and floor installers -- like a well-oiled machine. Every decision, every adjustment, every challenge--he tackles them head-on, making sure the project stays on schedule and within budget. But most importantly, Shay became like a member of the family during the process. He was there every step of the way, always reachable, checking in daily to make sure everything was staying on course. He is honest and takes pride in the work. And most importantly, my wife was happy. read more

Eco Pro Builders - New floor and fireplace slate. We love it! - General Contractors Near Me - Tarzana, California

I rarely write reviews but I feel compelled to share my experience with Eco Pro Builders, specifically about Shay. First, let me say that I don't have much experience with contractors because I only recently bought my first house. We had a major flood back in November that was bad enough to require a major remodel of floors, interior walls, bathrooms, kitchen...etc. Eco Pro Builders was referred to us by the water reclamation company and we took the leap of faith. I'm so glad we did. From day one Shay was very involved and that trend never ended. It is incredibly stressful navigating through a flood and subsequent remodel, but Shay really helped us out above and beyond many times. For example, our rebuild agreement did not include fixtures, so at each stage of the rebuild, we had to provide the appropriate fixtures to Shay's crew. On multiple occasions I didn't purchase them in time and each time Shay would take care of it by sending his crew to get it for me complete with a bunch of pictures and prices for me to choose. Shay was always fair with prices and understanding with the terribly slow payments from our mortgage company. The final result of the build was really nice, especially the kitchen. What really impressed me though, was Shay's commitment to backing up his work. The floors were unfortunately not leveled enough causing noticeable peaks and valleys in the floors at some spots. Shay immediately planned repairs to make it right. It has been a great experience and I fully recommend this company. read more

I hired eco pro builders to remodel my kitchen and I could not be more happy with the results. Here's what I loved, Shay the owner has a great eye for design in addition to a great crew that gets the job done right. He's very personable and helpful with his suggestions or when issues arise. He exceeded my expectations and now we have a home that's fully transformed into "our home" with the design that we love. a good contractor that's trustworthy is hard to find. Shay worked with our budget and our design style and executed perfectly. read more

Eco-Pro Builders did a restoration on our water damaged downstairs masterbedroom. The owner Shay is very good about communicating and was very helpful designing a walk-in closet and adding recessed lighting. The job progressed smoothly on time, on budget and the work was good. There were some challenges dealing with the insurance company, but in the end we are very happy with our new and upgraded masterbedroom. Both the water remediation company and Eco-Pro said " Don't talk to the insurance company". You may say something to the insurance company that jeopardizes them paying for all the work. In hindsight it is a difficult balancing act not jepordizing the claim payout and knowing what is going to happen during the claims process. All and all we are happy with the way the masterbedroom came out. read more

Horrible experience. The rest of the reviews must be made up accounts. Shay was aggressive, lied to me and my husband about the funds usage from insurance company and then said he wasn't going to help us anymore after my husband asked him not to raise his voice. read more

Shay and his crew were easy to work with. It was a small job, but he made me feel like my little bathroom repair was as important to him as any other larger job he had going on. Constant contact. Always replied quickly. Very clear about timeline and how the process would go. I'll certainly be using Eco Pro for my next project. read more

Shay took very good care of me and my home. I found their work to be top- notch. Would very much refer them. Steve T

Communication was great, however, we did not move forward hiring Shay and his team due to Shay's pressure in decision making. After Shay provided an overall number for us, he told us we had to make a decision within 1 Hour without providing a written up estimate/quote. Shay told us that due to the fact that they work on their estimate with insurance and our insurance denied our claim it cost Shay more money to create a new estimate for us and could not make another one. He said he could not spend more time and money creating a revised estimate for us without getting a confirmation we were going to use his services. For me, just finding out that our insurance was not going to cover our claim, it is important to me that we don't make a QUICK FINANCIAL decision without getting clear information that we can review. I think that when you tell potential clients you aren't going to take the time to ensure they know the right information and that they only have a couple hours to make a large financial decision you are telling people you don't care and you are just trying to make a quick buck. We decided not to move forward with Shay and his team. read more

EcoPro did a complete redesign and build of our kitchen. Our kitchen remodel involved major structural changes, moving walls, installing new plumbing and electrical lines, etc. Shay has a skilled professional team for all phases of construction/installation and close relationships with professional designers that provided valuable guidance and support throughout our project and helped with the functionality and aesthetics of our kitchen. Shay ensured that everything stayed on track and within budget. I would strongly recommend using EcoPro. Shay was up to date with all the modern trends in kitchen design, even advising on movement patterns within the kitchen, location of appliances, etc. We did a ton of research before hiring them. They have a long list of satisfied customers and did a phenomenal job for us. We've also referred EcoPro out to several friends and neighbors who loved the work Shay did for us and used him as well. read more

First let me say I have been living a nightmare for the past two weeks in the townhouse I've been renting the past four years. I discovered mold on the wall and ceiling and a huge water stain in my entry closet. I also noticed the adjoining bathroom ceiling was cracked. I also had wet marks on the ceiling in my basement, I assumed everything was coming from my shower drain. I have been working with my landlord and had the areas remediated. I've had people in my place non stop with estimates etc for the homeowner. Shay was recommended to us from one of the people who took away the mold. He was very nice and seemed honest when he came out to assess the problem in the basement. The concrete wall has bubbles all over the lower part, and he told me this was another type of mold called mushroom mold and it wasn't safe to be down there breathing it at all. It would be several thousands to fix the problem. I was freaked the F out and immediately called my landlord! The original guy who took care of the mold came yesterday and said it's calcium deposits due to the planter attached to the building and it is indeed not mold! It won't hurt me or my pets. It does need to be scraped off but it's no health hazard like Shay had told me. Many people are out to take advantage and sadly enough he was not honest. I'm thankful that I got the other opinion and it can be addressed without further stressing me out. read more

I would strongly recommend Eco Pro Builders. I contracted with them to repair damage from a broken water pipe. The entire process was stressful, and I'm so grateful I found Shay Oren. I highly recommend shay at Eco Pro Builders! They just renovated my bay window in the front and it looks gorgeous! It has given my living room a beautiful fresh new modern look. Shay gave me the best price of three estimates and the invaluable reassurance that he would personally guarantee I was perfectly happy at the end of the project - and I was! Shay offers customer service that is rare these days. He was not pushy, was always available to answer questions and even worked on my behalf to get an additional discount on my added grids. Even after I requested it after my order was placed.! The windows were delivered and installed on the date promised and he kept me informed along the way. He even came during installation to make sure I was happy at the end (i'm pretty picky). Shay has given me some good ideas for future large n small projects and offers help within his expertise. The icing on the cake!.... my dog Coco loved Shay n actually put her arms around him n licked his face before he left. Now if that is not a thumbs up... what is? Janina Canoga Park read more

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER - this company, as represented by Shay, deserves a negative rating. From Day One Shay came into our home and started bullying us with pressure tactics and yelling at us - outright yelling at us in our own home. Such rude behavior is intolerable. We understand that for him time is money and the faster he can complete our job, he can move onto another. However, this is our home with our family and where we work - Shay showed no respect for our household. Shay came to our door because the water restoration company told him there was work to be done (we did not reach out to him). It was a stressful time with our house in the state it was because of the water damage and we did not do our due diligence in checking the company out before signing anything. Terms of the contract were not explained to us - that we were agreeing to use them for the reconstruction work - not just to complete an estimate of work to be done for submission to the insurance company. Eco Pro did work with the insurance company to get the claim proceeds to a more realistic number but when it came time to start reconstruction, things went downhill fast. Shay never provided a detailed scope of work with firm pricing although requested on multiple occasions. Pricing for additional work was given over the phone and changed from day to day ("oh, I forgot this", "that number I gave you did not include that") so we never knew what to expect. We were "difficult to work with" because we did not drop what we were doing to answer his calls because "he is our contractor". He does not need to leave messages for us - we should just see that he has called and immediately call him back - emphasis on immediately. Shay terminated the contract and is charging us 20% of our insurance proceeds for partial work on drywalling that we will need to bring another contractor in to complete. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND WORKING WITH THIS COMPANY. RUN AWAY - STAY AWAY - DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING WITH THEM UNLESS YOU FULLY UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE GETTING YOURSELF INTO. read more

We are very pleased that we chose to work with Eco Pro Builders. They completed a full kitchen remodel for us and we are thrilled with the results! We have had some bad experiences in the past with other contractors so we were a little hesitant to tackle this project. After calling Eco Pro Builders and meeting with Avi in person, he went through every aspect of the project with us, including a detailed scope of work, budget and timeline. Avi gave us all the confidence we needed to move forward. Our project manager Shay gave us some layout ideas for our kitchen. We also had a 3D designer draw up different kitchen layout renderings so we can get a better idea. This was awesome since it really helped put things in perspective. Shay and Avi also lent their expertise in helping us choose the right finish materials. The crew were all very professional, polite, clean and respectful through the entire remodel. I received phone calls or emails every day with status updates, letting me know who will be coming, regarding inspections, design ideas, payments due, a more. Everything Avi and Shay had promised us, they delivered! They were both fantastic people and very easy to work with. Thank you Avi, Shay and the Eco Pro Builders crew for my new beautiful kitchen! It was a pleasure to work with you. If you're looking for a smooth remodeling process and quality work, we would highly recommend Eco Pro Builders! read more
