Sand, bricks, they can get in what they don't stock; various renders and cements, some with colour premixed and some without. Plaster, textured coatings, accessories of every description and then all those little things that you require. Sand paper, screwdrivers, tape, OH&S signs. Mini trucks for shipping materials. Paint. I'm tempted to say "You name it they've got it," but I will not go that far just in case you don't get total satisfaction from them as a one stop shop for your building needs. Having said that I think they provide a service polite and helpful enough to be patient enough to have them order things in for you rather than dash of to some warehouse style enterprise. Be aware I have listed the website, because they do have one, but Anthony tells me it is under construction right at the moment and I am writing this in early December 2011, so don't get all testy if you go to the website only to find it is not working until at least January 2012. Testiness after January is reasonable, but I would think Anthony would be a bit testy himself if it is not fixed by then, so maybe just give him a call.

Well there are all shapes and sizes as well as ladders made from lightweight material through to heavy ladders. You can pick up all sorts of things here that you would require if you were on a decorating or building binge (or site) and you can get all the bits to fix creaky wheels on trolleys, hand trolleys, wheelbarrows. Hand drawn fork lifts, little stools on wheels that you may use to reach the top shelf in a library, there is a whole lot of this type of thing here. You can easily give them a call to find out if they have what you want - and even though they are on South Road, a very busy street that has not got great parking, if you go around the side via George Street you can park your car, van or utility out the back. It is worth going around the back any way if only to see the whole range of what they have in store. It's a lot I can tell you.

There are many different frames constructed and otherwise throughout the interior of the shop, but in none of the ordered fashion you will find in most framing places. There are some very nice frames here, antique and gold leaf, as well as many much less appealing. As well as picture frames and mirrors, Derek's has some fireplaces as well.
