Spent 3 nights with a friend of mine. The hostel is beautifully decorated and we were happy to park our car in the street for free, yet there were several points that led us to be quite disappointed overall. First, we booked a private room with two separate (twin) beds on hostelworld yet when we got here we were shown a bedroom with only one 1,40m bed. Considering it was 36 degrees during the day and not much less at night, we were really expecting to not have to sleep side by side! When we asked the lady who welcomed us, she assured us it's impossible that we'd booked a private room with two twin beds because that kind of room doesn't exist... yet it was advertised on hostelworld! To accommodate us, the lady offered a small futon bed, which made the trick even though we were disappointed and it took the whole space. This bedroom was still suffocatingly hot and we could get no airflow because the tiny and only window we had was too high up to reach...
We had also booked a private bathroom, which had obviously not been cleaned. We told the owner of the hostel but he just said the dirt we could see in the toilet was not dirt and he left moaning away in italian... we cleaned the toilet ourselves and managed to effectively get the poop away... not cool.
Lastly, the hostel advertises to have wifi but unless you're staying in the entrance you won't get any. When we arrived the lady told us there was one connection per floor but we could never get online. We asked if they were aware that the wifi was not working, they said yes. We asked if they had tried to turn it off and on, they said no but they don't care and that's how it is. No one there was going to try and fix it.
Going to Napoli was also a struggle, the train station is far up and the walk is unsafe and suffocating.
I would not recommend this place to a friend, nor would I go again. read more
