I came in origonally just looking for a phone for my son and then i got chatting with a member of staff and he told me about mobile internet and how i could get a free laptop if i signed up for a 3 contracct! I thought this was brilliant! The man went through everything with me. He explained how everything worked and now i have one less Christmas present to worry about! This shop is full of all the latest mobile handsets and there is a phone here for everybody's price range. I'm so glad got my internet contract form here because i know that if i have any problems they will help me sort them out wothout complaining!

I just wanted to leave a good review for these guys to balance their 'score' a bit, since "Bob D"…read moreleft a 1-star review and strongly disagree with the idea of them losing business due to some butthurt nerd on the internet... (Hey "Bob D"; maybe they didn't want to stop and chat because they're paid to fix bikes, not chat about bikes for 4 hours!!) I've had my bike repaired here a few times, and the staff are always very helpful. They said my bike repair would cost £80, which I was happy to pay (the bike was a wreck lol) but then in the end it only cost me like £50 (and the parts they used were of a reasonable quality). They didn't use expensive 'brand' parts either, which was nice because I hate the whole concept of buying branded stuff anyway (like seriuously, people buy shoes that cost £2.75 for the materials, but they're happy to buy that same pair of trainers for £150 just 'cos it says ADDIDAS on it and has 3 stripes...) Anyway, I'm rambling now so I'll wrap this up; Don't take my word for it, or Bob's word; just try them out and see how you find the experience, or don't... doesn't really make any difference to me :D

Boots is a large shop situated in Portland Walk - the main shopping area of Barrow. They have the…read moreusual chemist counter and photo-processing area, and a large shop floor given over to toiletries, make-up, gifts, perfume, electrical items such as hair straighteners etc. It is every girl's paradise! They are not one of the larger Boots stores (despite being big by Barrow's standards) so they don't carry all the ranges of makeup e.g. Urban Decay, but they do have a good selection of all the usual high-street brands, Max Factor, Maybelline, Bourjois etc. They also carry the Soap and Glory bath and body range, which is gorgeous! They have a dedicated No. 7 counter, staffed by lovely ladies - there are 2 specific ones I can think of who are always so friendly and helpful, they have a laugh and a joke with you when you go to pay, and are very knowledgeable about the products on offer. They make shopping there a pleasure! Boots also does regular promotions and events, and their Advantage reward card is one of the best around - well worth getting one, you collect points on everything you buy and it adds up to enough for a lovely treat at the end of the year! Their 3 for the price of 2 gift sets make great Christmas pressies too. Boots also do lovely lunches - their £2.99 meal deal is great value comprising any sandwich/wrap/pasta/salad, any drink and any snack (chocolate/crisps/cereal bars or fruit if you're feeling healthy) Definitely one of the best shops in Barrow!

I came in here the other day to stock up on crayons and play dough for my children and i didn't spend anymore than £3. All of the things sold in here are really good quality. However i find the layout quite confusing at times with womens hair removal products being on one random shelf in the middle of the store miles away from all the mens razors which is the area i would expect to find them near. The tills are also in a bit of a random place in the middle of the store, but the staff are really polite and often do have a quick chat with you rather than just check out your items and take your money- which is a nice change!
