Gaby talked to my wife on the phone for 20 minutes and was extremely helpful, not even pushing us to book an appointment but truly just trying to help. We ended up scheduling an appointment for the next day. We came in with so many concerns and questions and a lot of anxiety around the decision of whether or not do a frenectomy. Both Gaby and Maria (occupational therapist) took their time with us, did a very thorough assessment with our son, made us feel a lot more at ease about the whole process and were extremely informative. They were so good with him and knew exactly what to look for. They shared lots of context and experience with us along the way. We felt like they had a very human and unbiased approach to everything, including sharing their own personal experiences as parents themselves. We came away feeling at peace about what to do next, which for us was to not to do the surgery and just focus on developmental exercises at home. The office was really cute, clean, and had a nice atmosphere too. My wife and I walked out and immediately said we have to write a review because it was such an incredible experience. Plus, this practice deserves way more reviews than it has! Thank you for really helping us out and making us feel so much better about a tough decision.

After just a few sessions, we began noticing our son using more language and becoming genuinely excited to communicate what he was learning with Gaby. He started expressing his wants and needs more confidently, which was such a meaningful milestone for our family. Gaby has truly been a godsend. She is professional, extremely knowledgeable, and has an amazing ability to meet our son exactly where he is while still encouraging growth. When we weren't able to bring our son to her clinic, she was more than willing to make house visits, which meant so much to us. After 2.5 years, our son has developed an incredible amount of language and is now able to speak much more clearly in full words and sentences. We found her when we were panicked as he had always had minor speech delays, but the stammer came out of nowhere and we had has some prior experience with not great speech pathologists. Not only did our son have incredible success and improvement with Sara (he barely has "bumpy speech" anymore and when he does, he has tools to help with it) but also her knowledge, approach, demeanor and vibe was fantastic and comforting to us. Sara was so helpful in educating us more about stuttering and she empowered my son with knowledge and information to better understand his own stuttering. Sara's sessions are engaging, varied, well thought out and prepared. She is engaged in what she does and really cares. Her office is inviting and warm, but even as we recently switched to doing our sessions remotely/virtual, she has been doing an amazing job at keeping the sessions just as engaging and relevant to our son. It took an unreasonable amount of time to get an appointment, and our stated availability was repeatedly disregarded. When we finally secured a session, we were told the assigned therapist would be out for a week. Shortly after, we learned she had actually left the company entirely. We were then scheduled with Melissa the clinical manager. During that conversation, the provider recommended that the sessions take place at their facility. We clearly declined and explained that we wanted the initial session to occur in our home. After communicating that preference, the appointment was rescheduled. As parents, coordinating therapy appointments requires planning, adjusting work schedules, and arranging childcare. The repeated delays, staff turnover, poor communication, and last-minute scheduling changes showed a complete lack of respect for our time. What should have been a straightforward onboarding process turned into weeks of frustration. If reliability, organization, and communication are important to you, this was not our experience with this provider.

Marcy (who works in the front desk) is very knowledgeable about the regional center and has contacts to help expedite the process. We've worked with Brittney for about a year and a half, and she has been instrumental in helping my daughter gain the confidence and skills to work on her expression. The therapy is play based and she makes it fun! We consider her more than our therapist, but a friend. Cheryl is amazing as well. She is sweet and is great at getting shy kids to open up. We just wrapped up as they turned 3 and we couldn't be happier with the results. Our therapist, Luiza was a dream to work with. She taught us alongside our girls, showing us how to model language for them, gave us handouts and answered all our questions along the way, which really helped their speech development between sessions. She came to our home to start, then switched to their preschool when we needed to start them in Daycare. They're now fully caught up to age level (and impressing all the adults in the room with how verbal they are). We can't recommend Milestone enough!
