Was a nice experience, with only a couple...odd..things. Odd, just odd. Appetizer, Calamari with "tzatziki". Calamari was fantastic, but...their "tzatzki" was sour cream based...and tasteless. Meh Prime Rib was the special, so I had the 14 oz cut, med rare. Delicious. BUT, if you look at the picture, you will see exactly what I received. It's like they cut me too big of a piece, and hacked off a piece, and served me the remainder. WTF? Really? Finally, the chipotle chicken penne Alfredo. Fantastic. Atmosphere was fantastic and our server along with all the staff was very friendly. We will go there again. read more

The Coke was beyond flat. The cabonara lacked taste. Took 45 min to get my meal. I drove 12 hrs and spent way too much on the less than satisfactory meal. read more

The service was a bit scattered, but I won't hold that too much against them because they were in shock - one of their co-workers had just been killed in an auto accident. The food was pretty seriously overpriced - a tiny fillet of salmon on a little cedar shingle was $23. I get bigger than that for $7 at a sushi joint, with almost as much subtlety of flavor. I can't speak to the quality of the beer or wine because I don't drink. Several of my tablemates ordered the prime rib they had on special. it seemed to be okay, but especially compared with my salmon, the portions were grotesque. The smallest size they offered was "10 oz" and it was the size of 2 or even 3 normal portions of meat. No one was able to finish. That they offer a 20 oz version is mindboggling. Echo is part of a very family-friendly hotel, so you can expect to have some kid noise and mess. It's also just across the wall from the pool, and some sound carries through the wall from there. My parents walked out on breakfast the morning before I arrived, something they've never done in their lives - the service was so bad that they finally gave up on getting what they ordered. read more
