The one star I am giving is based on the quality of work, which I would say is pretty good except not all of the debris was picked up. The office staff : Tom, Maureen and Gabe will say anything to sell you. Long amount of time between getting a start and work actually starting, slow feedback or none at all from mentioned staff when asking about your job. The crew that actually does work is very good, office staff is untrustworthy and totally done with you once checks are signed. After job completion and signing a check, asked Gabe for a card ,he ran out the door saying he didn't have any. read more

Based on my personal experience I wouldn't suggest using this business. I was given the run around for months, last year (finally got around to downloading Yelp and thought it was the perfect time to share my experience) dealing with Hugh. It took months of being blown off to realize this was not the company for me. I suggest you all go elsewhere since Hugh ruined any good will we had for this company. Repeated visits to resolve small issues took close to a year to complete. Great product, but if needed afterward to resolve small items, unpredictable timelines. However the last repair under warranty was a rapid dispatch. May all depend if in-house vs. subcontractors due to shortage. read more

In April 2020 salesman (Hugh) came out to give estimate for roof and siding damage. ECC came out for emergency repair a week later to do temporary patch of missing shingles for $800. It's now December (9 moths later after numerous emails and calls to office) and job never finished but yet they keep calling for their over-priced emergency patch job. Insurance company threatening to pull claim due to no response from them. Shady and reminds me of a used car sales pitch. Finally found a reputable company that would finish the job they started. Typical contractor. They apparently don't like doing anything more difficult than nailing paper & shingles. Didn't even perform all of the work they were contracted to do. Hacked up old flashing and pieced it all back together with silicone. Oh btw, Hugh is their sales guy, so take that review with a grain of salt. read more

We couldn't have hired a better roofing company. We received a quote from a different company before ECC Roofing. After Tom from ECC Roofing came to our home we knew we didn't want to use any other company. They were more pricey then our other quote but we were not willing to cheap out on something that protects our home and everything in it after we had ceiling collapse in two rooms from a snow storm. We learned when it comes to a roof you get what you pay for. Our experience from the other quote was a guy who merely stopped by our house with a drone picture of our roof and gave us a much lower price. He spent about 5 minutes in our front yard and just gave us a price. That company never stepped foot on our roof or explained anything to us. When Tom from ECC Roofing came he went on our roof. He took measurements and noted the condition of our roof. He came inside of our home with a laptop, video, and pictures of our roof. He was extremely educated about the roofing systems. He was professional and was able to answer the questions we had. He wasn't rushed to run out the door as if we were just another sale. After speaking to him we knew this was the company we wanted to use. We signed paperwork that day and he had a crew out the next morning to tarp the area where we had the collapse. The next week John our production manager along with a crew were at our home ripping everything off of our roof. It only took 5 days to complete from removing everything to clean up. There was a lot to be done. We had to have a complete tear off and replacement gutters included. With the roof we chose we also have a great warranty. We were also comfortable with this company knowing they have been in business for more then 20 years. We couldn't be happier with the job done. read more

Terrible company. They will provided you a low price and right when they start the job, they will not notify you about the extra cost of work they are doing. Once work is complete you will have to pay a bug difference in price. They will threatened you about no providing you warranty if you give the a bad survey even though you are entitled of it. This company totally wasted my time. I contacted them for an estimate for vinyl siding repair. They didn't show for 3 scheduled appointments. The office assistant was nice but that's it. First appointment they had me confused with a commercial customer so they didn't show. Second appointment no show/no call. Third appointment they called around the scheduled appointment time to say that they would not be coming. Great way to earn business. Needless to say the third time was a strikeout and I'll take my business to a more reliable company. read more

I contacted to get an estimate for replacing a roof on my Gazebo. A representative named Alex came out June 9th. He took pictures and said he would be meeting the owner the next day. He said I would get a call on the 10th. I never received a call. I called his cellphone which was on the business card. He never picked up and I left a message. He never called back. I followed up with the main office. The woman I spoke to was polite but knew nothing. I followed up a 2nd time on Friday, June 12th. Same scenario again! I already made up my mind not to use them no matter what! I decided to call on June 15th just to hear the excuse. The woman again had no answers and said she would call Alex. Of course, never heard from anyone. This company is the most discourteous and unprofessional outfit I've ever dealt with . I can only imagine the problems a customer would have after the sale if a follow up was needed! Plenty of other roofers out there! Avoid this one at all costs! read more

The one star is required by Yelp. Check your warranty for leeks. 10-Year Warranty, that selling feature is often a deciding factor in what company you select to do a job. I paid ECC over $10,000 for a new roof which was just fine until it rained. When it rained the rain would fall on the roof bypass the gutters and pour down on you. This made coming and going a dodging game and in the winter it became hazardous maneuvering ice cycles. Not knowing what was causing this new problem I contacted Gutter Guard the company who installed the gutter system on my home. Upon inspection by the gutter company they determined that the problem was due to the new roof being installed and nailed over my gutters. I contacted ECC in November 2016. After several calls they came to my home inspected the roof and said they would contact Gutter Helmet about fixing the problem. They did not contact the gutter company. In December at my request the gutter company contacted ECC gave them a contractor's price to repair the gutters. Since that time I have been back and forth with ECC for over 8 months not returning calls, scheduling appointments and not showing up, then showing up for appointments and inspecting and re-inspecting. Jim Milsop the owner of ECC does not want to repair or replace the damaged gutters on my home due to the price of the system I have installed. He said it is too expensive and he is not paying for the system I currently have when another system would be less money and work fine. How can a contractor damage your home while doing work and refuse to repair it? According to ECC's contract it states "East Coast Contracting will provide a 10-year warranty on any leeks and workmanship". A contract is a legal and binding document and both parties are obligated to fulfill their part of the agreement. How can ECC think it is acceptable to later modify a contract to fit their needs? read more

I am extremely pleased with everything from the beginning low-presser sales pitch to the actual work performed and beyond. Competitive pricing, helpful courteous staff and expert installers make it easy to recommend this company. As you know, first impressions are everything. Lauren is always patient and pleasant when answering the phone. Hugh was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The installers were efficient, worked quietly and cleaned up very well after the new roof was installed. I have no problem recommending this company.
