They're solid enough. You can get 500g or 750g of 'em. They're tender, smoky, flavorful, and obviously generously apportioned. Cool wood-like plates and nice heavy knives. The beers here are indifferently made, but the biersnaps was very nice. It's a fun place to stop off.

My husband went for a 750g plate (215kr). The cole slaw and baked potato that accompanied the ribs were tasty! For dessert, I asked if they had just some ice cream, which they did (not on the menu) and it came with two generous scoops of really good/rich vanilla ice cream - only for 29kr. (cheap for the Danish standard). This was great! I'd have loved to give them 4 stars, but the service we got on this day was not very good (our server was not friendly- a bit mean indeed) and thus minus 1 star - sorry :(

Usually distilled from grain or potatoes, Aarlborg, from the northern areas of Jutland, (the center of Akvavit production) also has one made from Amber. It has a classic caraway hint with that nice burn of alcohol. The saying I got while in Copenhagen is: "You must drink to allow the fish to swim" Meaning you have to have enough booze to go with all the herring and other seafood you consume, especially with Smørrebrød. 90 proof packs a wallop so you can be sure that you will also be on the quick path to swimming with the fish.
