Ebbcarrs makes it's own soup, I think. I had the leek and potato, whilst the boy tucked into spicy parsnip. Served with warm crusty rolls, it was a great choice for a rainy, grey Sunday out on the harbour at St. Abb's. Oddly, we were drawn by the delicious smell of soup, but inside, it smelled much more strongly of old oil, but we pressed on.
As well as the soup, we decided to try out the dressed crab as part of their fresh seafood menu. It was my first time with dressed crab and for me, it wasn't anything to write home about.
