The woman who checked us in at 3pm said they were waiting on the linen service to change the sheets and remove the old / dirty ones. But, they let us in the unit at 3pm. At 7:30, I called because the dirty linens were still on the beds (I have pictures). No one was able to come handle the service. So, I got the extreme pleasure of 1) handle strangers dirty linens and put them into garbage bags (7 beds!!). 2) travel to the rental office and pick up the clean linens, 3) make all seven beds by myself. That when I PAID for a service to have that done. This isn't our first rodeo. We travel all the time and we are great guests. I understand that mistakes happen. All the customer service representatives were lovely and very apologetic. They just had no power to improve the outcome. It's the management team who doesn't care about the customer experience. After several phone calls, no one from management called to follow up or offer to make it better. I had to touch a strangers' dirty laundry!!! GROSS!!!

Unfortunately, over the past few years, we've noticed a significant decline. Cleanliness has become a recurring issue. We've had to call housekeeping back multiple times because the initial cleaning was not done well. This past year, there was hair on the toilet paper holder, visible dust in several areas, and the indoor glass tables looked like they were wiped with harsh cleaners, leaving them streaky and cloudy. In the past, if something wasn't right, we could call and it would be taken care of quickly and professionally. This year felt very different. The hot tub was broken, and instead of a straightforward apology or resolution, the issue seemed to be brushed off. We also had random sheets placed in our elevator that we didn't request, which added to the confusion. What was most disappointing was that when my mom left a review on their site, parts of it were altered and the negative feedback was removed--even though she still gave a generous 4-star rating. As long-time renters, it's frustrating to see the quality and customer service go downhill like this. We've made many great memories over the years, but we hope to see improvements moving forward.

Verandas at 501 S. Ocean Blvd, North Myrtle Beach -- Extremely Disappointing Experience…read more Our experience with Elliott Rentals was extremely disappointing from start to finish. We arrived after an 11-hour drive with my 89-year-old mother, who was looking forward to resting, only to find that we did not have linens. After hours of phone calls and follow-up, linens for our five guests were finally delivered at 10:43 PM. This was completely unacceptable, especially given my mother's age and the long day of travel. We also experienced a leaking toilet that was reported immediately, but it took two days before anyone came to address the issue. The biggest issue, however, was the ongoing construction noise directly below the apartment. Monday through Friday, from approximately 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM, we endured constant jackhammering, drilling, and extremely loud construction for the entire week. We contacted Elliott Rentals daily and even walked to their office, where the front desk employee acknowledged that the noise could be heard from there. We came to North Myrtle Beach for a peaceful vacation, and instead experienced nearly 50 hours of disruptive, unbearable noise. Ear protection was honestly needed. I work as a nurse, and I understand how important rest and quiet are -- everyone deserves the opportunity to relax on vacation. We documented the noise with videos and sent them to the owner daily. The response was simply "sorry," but no meaningful solution was provided. After three days of dealing with the construction, we were offered a different apartment on Wednesday. By that point, we had already unpacked, stocked the refrigerator and freezer with food, and settled in with five people, including my 89-year-old mother who does not move easily. Moving at that stage was not a realistic option. This unit should never have been rented without advance notice about the construction. A resident of the building told us when we were leaving on Saturday, "I hope you complain about this -- this has been going on since April." He also shared that when he previously rented out his own unit, he stopped using Elliott Rentals because of his dissatisfaction with the company. He stated that the construction was expected to continue for at least another three weeks. I contacted the owner and suggested that the unit should not be rented until the construction was complete. I was told that Elliott Rentals would notify future guests about the construction -- however, we were never warned. We are still waiting for a response from Patricia at Elliott Rentals, who handled our booking. Unfortunately, this turned what should have been our one relaxing vacation week of the year into an extremely stressful and disappointing experience. Guests deserve to know what they are walking into before booking this property.

I really wanted to like this place, but it ended up being one of the strangest hotel/resort…read moreexperiences I've had. The check-in process started things off on the wrong foot. Even though I completed all of the online pre-registration beforehand, I had to repeat the entire process at the front desk because they couldn't find any record of it. The line was long, instructions were minimal, and parking was confusing. Both towers park in the Indigo garage, and you have to use the third-floor walkway to get to the other tower--information that wasn't clearly explained. The room itself was the biggest disappointment. The layout is incredibly long and narrow and honestly just... odd. The master bedroom shares a wall with the public hallway, and because we were close to the elevator, we heard people talking at all hours. It felt more like sleeping in a hallway than a bedroom. The furnishings are badly overdue for an update. The furniture feels worn out, the closet door came off its track when opened, the master sink barely drained, the safe battery was dead (maintenance had to replace it), and the sheets felt like sandpaper. There were no USB charging ports or convenient outlets like you find in just about every hotel these days. The "kitchen" is really just a mini fridge (without a freezer), microwave, sink, toaster, coffee maker, and blender. Then the layout gets even stranger. The living room has a sofa bed, but there were no pillows and only one set of sheets stored in the master closet. Meanwhile, the second bathroom connected to the living room is enormous--with dual vanities, a huge shower, and a Jacuzzi tub--while the master bathroom is the size of a basic Holiday Inn bathroom. The whole setup feels backwards. The ocean and pool view was beautiful, but the room itself felt like a design that never figured out what it wanted to be. One of my biggest frustrations was the housekeeping policy. We were charged a daily housekeeping fee (nearly $30 per day), yet the paperwork says they don't actually provide housekeeping. The first two days no one even came until I called. When they finally did, they simply emptied the trash and left a couple of clean towels on the counter. Charging a daily housekeeping fee without providing daily housekeeping feels misleading. To top it off, the only proactive phone call we received during our stay wasn't to see if everything was okay--it was someone trying to sell us a "timeshare". There are also no ice machines in the tower and no front desk staff nearby if you need assistance, so every issue requires contacting the separate check-in building. For the price we paid (roughly $500+ per night after resort fees, housekeeping fees, marketing fees, and taxes), I expected a much more polished experience. Instead, it felt dated, confusing, and overpriced. The ocean view was lovely, but unfortunately that wasn't enough to make up for everything else. I wouldn't stay here again or recommend it.

The property is located on the beach but surrounded by plenty of restaurants and just a minute drive away from the shopping outlets. Check-in was a breeze and of course, you have to encounter the dreaded timeshare "owner update" speech when picking up your parking pass, but I declined despite the push of 15,000 points or dinner certificates as well all know it's never just a 60-minute update... However, I politely declined again as I travel for work quite a bit and accrue my share of hotel points and airline miles... Anywho, I reserved a 1 bedroom deluxe through the timeshare site and I ended up in the South Tower, 14th floor, and in a nicely sized oceanview room. Loved the hardwood floors, modern decor, full kitchen w/coffee maker, blender, and dining/cookware, washer/dryer, nice comfy king bed and the roomy stand-alone shower. The indoor and outdoor pools were nice along with the easy beach access. The weather was very nice and going this time of year was great as it wasn't too crowded due summer break not starting yet, so it was very peaceful and relaxing. I'm sure they called my room several times to get me attend the timeshare owner update, but I just disconnected the phone line from both phones to have a nice and peaceful stay. Check-out was just as easy and they printed me an invoice to show no charges (my first time ever receiving one as an owner ever), but no big deal... Overall, I had a great stay here and look forward to booking another stay here soon.

(We refused that offer because they said we had to buy more points, Sea Watch said that was not correct.) After 90 minutes of BS we got up to leave as we had a tee time to get to. They offered to take up the conversation when we got home. So, I set it up with Jake provided he'd send me three specific pieces of info. He agreed. The day came and he neither sent the info nor called. He contacted me a week later and apologized so I foolishly gave him two more dates to call. He said he'd confirm the day. Those two days came and went. No confirmation, no counteroffer, no info, no call, no text. If you are asked to sit down for anything, refuse. Refuse as many times as it takes, and it will take quite a few. Trust quotient is Zero.

This resort is described as a…read morepremier (3-star) oceanfront timeshare resort featuring 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom suites in four towers with full kitchens, lots of pantry space, balconies, and within-unit washers and dryers. Resort amenities are abundant and include direct beach access, indoor and outdoor pools, hot tubs, (small) lazy rivers, a fitness center, an arcade, and a fire pit. We made a relatively late reservation here for five nights when we learned that international guests would be visiting. There would be seven guests (all adults) for two nights, and only four of us for the other three nights. We used extra timeshare points (making it more expensive) in order to get a unit on an upper floor, hoping that the upper floor would give us the best ocean view. Unit. (3/5). Our unit in Tower 2 was spacious (especially when there were only 4 of us), and had everything that we needed and was clean. We especially appreciated the fully-stocked full kitchen with generous pantry space, having a washer and dryer in the unit, and the jacuzzi in the main bedroom (which we under-utilized!). The beds were comfortable, and had high quality linens. However, we were somewhat disappointed with the unit as our ocean view was limited (although you could see the ocean, beach, and one of the pools from our balcony). And, as the resort was built in 2002, and last renovated in 2011, it's now beginning to show its age -- with sofas and chairs that were no longer firm, some chips on furniture, and the musty smell that comes with high humidity. Amenities and Activities. (3.5/4). Tower 2 was convenient, and had many amenities that we utilized. It was home to the Lobby and Registration, had direct beach access, a lazy river, access to indoor and outdoor pools, game room/arcade, activities center, gift shop, and fire pit. As with our room, some of the amenities need upgrades. For instance, the hot tub was lukewarm at best, and the markings on the shuffleboard had eroded off. The resort also had a full calendar of "Resort Experiences", which included arts and crafts, shows, fitness classes, and more. HOWEVER, we were three days in before we even learned that there were resort activities, as we weren't given a schedule at check-in. For instance, we would've gone to the Sunday evening "Karaoke Welcome Party" at the fire pit, but we weren't aware. We DID enjoy the "Hula Fire Show" a few nights later. A few other random points. (1) Parking could be challenging if it's important to you to have parking close to your unit. If not, there's plentiful parking (and a free shuttle, which we didn't utilize) behind Tower 4. We were able to get parking in Tower 2 most evenings, except one evening when we got back late. (2) we were surprised that the concierge did have discount tickets to the shows in Myrtle Beach that we wanted to attend. (3) we would stay here again, but probably wouldn't pay extra again for a higher floor.
