Pretty great place if you're looking for a board game - great selection of what you've never heard…read moreof and very likely - whatever it is you're looking for. According to Time Out Sydney, Games Paradise is one of Australia's top 100 games shops, for having the best selection of board games around. I just bought a puzzle for an up and coming flight, and at just $5, the store provides both cheap and fast entertainment, as well as specific and querky high range products - even real life HP potions for mortals over 12! The best part of this shop is the middle aged woman who served us. With some kind of European accent (English, Irish, other, I couldn't be sure), she seems reminds me of the typical Irish lady who we all have living next door and wants to help everyone with everything. Games Paradise Pitt Street is the pace to go for board games, and this lady is the person to go to for advice. If you are walking past it in the street, looking for a board game, bored and looking for fun, or needing a different gift for a friend, Games Paradise is my recommendation.

I went into Games Paradise looking for a game. I stepped into the Paradise of Games, as it claims…read moreto be, and began browsing the shelves. I had no intended game on my mind, I simply knew that a game was what I needed. The aisles are small and the shop could best be described as cosy, if not claustrophobic. Yes, it is a small shop, but here I am hinting about just how many games there are available. Board games, card games, games I didn't know existed. Puzzle games, sex games, games for young, games for old, multiplayer games, single player games, travelling games, games with such complex set ups that you would need to take the monday off in order to complete them. (And that's if you start on a Wednesday.) There are games everywhere! Games stacked on games stacked on games stacked on shelves. If there's a game, they have it. Well, maybe not hopscotch, but they probably sell chalk. There aren't a lot of places that cater specifically for the board game and all its affiliates. Games are sold in all kinds of places, but here they've all come together in their gamey paradise and I guess they like it because they put up with the cramped conditions. The lady behind the counter was very helpful and eager to recommend to me what game, based upon my needs, I would require. The prices are a little steep, but I think that's just board games. And if you really thought about it. The amount of time you spend playing a game like Monopoly, if you pay $40 for it, more if you get the 'Star Wars - Special Edition' like I did. If you really work it out, if you do the maths, it's actually a great deal. For your enjoyment you're probably paying less than twenty cents an hour. Cha-Ching!

I will be talking about my experience in playing Magic the Gathering at the Games Corner…read more The place is small and overcrowded. Some nights you can't even hear what the player opposite you is saying. The staff are very rude. If you have any sort of mental illness, or disagree with them about anything, they don't care. They told me that they have banned people from going there. The shop has the bare minimum of each gaming franchise. My friend and I both wanted to buy the same Commander deck, but they only had one copy. Events usually start late, because the owner refuses to use his computer to enter players names. Everything must be written by hand on a piece of paper, and then entered into a computer. This happened at the last prerelease, making us all wait for half an hour before we could play. I tried to explain to the owner that he could just enter names straight into the computer, but he just said it was his shop and he would do what he wanted. That's the kind of service I'm talking about. If you want to eat before playing you are limited to Indian food, Pizza Hut, or a very bad charcoal chicken joint. The place is miles away from Parramatta Station, taking around 30 minutes to walk there. There are much better places in Parramatta to play cards.

I placed a pre-order for 7 MTG boxes with this store in Aug 2020 (2 years ago approx)…read more They got back to me a month or two later and claimed the items were "lost" and offered a replacement of a different product. A similar box, we begrudgingly accepted this swap in items given they were trying to make it right. Then RE the new items: delivery date after delivery date was missed. Over a period of 2 YEARS, 10 dates came and went where it kept getting pushed back and pushed back on delivery. I had over 20 emails ignored in the period from Aug 2020 to January 2022. The longer the company defaulted on providing the items the more disdain they seemed to have towards us he customer in answering basic emails or caring in anyway they couldn't deliver. This was for an order of cardboard of $1260+ They never came to a fair resolution. Games Cube couldn't even be bothered to contact me RE: refunding. Money was sent to an old account I had in 2020 and I had to chase it down over 6 months with them not helping one bit. 10-15 of my own hours were wasted in phone calls/emails to fix issues with this non-order. Despite ALL this being their fault and inability to deliver. By the way all other stores had these boxes instock 15+ units etc. This was a widely available item in every other store in Aus. We were scammed, and they held out money as a free loan over 2 years then treated us like garbage and couldn't be bothered to reply. We are 99% sure due to the rising price in boxes they just cancelled most of the order. I've got over 10 years experience ordering from MTG stores for my game group of 7+ people. Never in those 10 years has a company so blatantly and so awfully treated me horrible than the Games cube. It was surprising given I had a history of some orders with them, but alas buyer beware they if something goes wrong they blame the customer and start to treat you awfully. It's bizare and they lack any care for what happened with this order. This is the only business in 10 years I have had to report to WPN (Wizards of coast) & the ACCC and Sydney Fair Trade commission. They have the full details of the scam they pulled on us. The most awful service of anywhere I've bought something from in my adult life. Very pathetic. BUYER BEWARE. They had years to reply to me. Never did they lift a finger to try and make things right for a $1000+ order.

Follow your Destiny into no man's sky and break your boredom with a C-c-c-c-c combo breaker here and avail of one of their always great deals. This place has anything you need to do just that across all platforms and on a budget too. Seriously, these guys are cheap as chips consistently. The thing about this place is I've often found myself picking up things here purely because the price was too good not to. One thing that I always notice about a place is when the staff are into what they're selling. The staff here are gamers, no two ways about it. I've asked for advice on headphones and controllers and having researched what I was buying I could tell I was getting honest advice and not simply upsold on every item. I have never been steered wrong in game recommendations either once I said what things I like. I bought Alan Wake, an obscure title from years ago on their recommendation and it has been one of my all time favourites. Great deals on refurbished consoles and second hand games here if you need to replace a machine for cheap. So before all your bases are belong to us or you die of dysentery, GET OVER HERE and avoid your DOOM. Polish of your Halo and settle into that half life at home on the couch courtesy of these league of legends who run this shop! When I came here first, I was a simple man standing in front of an employee asking them to please help me shoot things in the face, maybe even in space, online. I wished to be part of the community of online antagonists who have gleefully regaled me of amorous adventures with my mother. I shared my vision and requirements with the good souls here and they turned my vision into a (virtual) reality. "War. War never changes."...... And I hope these guys don't either. In a world of online buying it's nice to have a shop where you can browse, I love this place.
