I ordered a Coconut Mousse, Lemon Mousse, and Pistachio Cafe Frappe. Once they rung me up, I saw a charge for $9, but I know for a fact that nothing I ordered was $9. The young guy ringing me up said the coconut mousse isn't $8.50, its $9 - but the menus hung overhead as well as the to-go menu pamphlets all said $8.50. I know its only 50 cents, but its the principle of the thing - you have to honor the price you advertise to the customer. The young boy and even the manager kept insisting on how that's for the old menu, I don't care - that is your mistake, not mine. Update your menu then - and he showed me how the laminated print out menu said $9, but I showed how the wooden boards hung up and the pamphlets both say otherwise. Took way longer than it should've. The boy didn't know how to manually override the price, so I had to ask him to get his manager to. These people don't understand proper business etiquette. Hope that experience taught them something. Aside from that pricing issue. Food was good, and ambiance was nice. Plenty of picturesque spots inside to snap photos at. Would I recommend them? Maybe. Will I come back? Maybe, but to their other location next time.

The lady behind the counter noticed the backpack on my daughter and right away asked her which cupcake she would like. I didn't have to ask about the offer. I ended up purchasing a slice of tiramisu for myself and am enjoying every bite. My daughter picked the strawberry icing one (I forget). Pretty sure she enjoyed it because she actually ate everything. She usually just eats the frosting and wastes the cake part. Not this time! I'm slowly trying to work my way through all their flavors, although one thing I've noticed is that they don't always have every flavor listed. Sometimes they're sold out, and other times I've been told that certain flavors just aren't available that day. So if you have your heart set on a specific flavor, just keep that in mind. Even their employees must not have a break room, so they sit in a roped off area at a little table with their back to the customers for added privacy. It's really not private though. I heard my name called and I scooped up my cup of green delight. Oh I do adore warm boba. The cool creamy honeydew sweetness enveloped the chewy anise pearls and it was a decadent treat I absolutely savored. I didn't feel rushed and I lingered just a bit while I enjoyed my honeydew boba. But recently, it's been consistently bad. I've been getting watery tea, and I always request for less cream (more tea base). I came to Paleta Bar to finally try the viral Dubai cookie. So many friends have sent it to me…read moresaying I need to make it and sell it but of course, I had to taste it first. One cookie cost $6.50 and it's filled with katafi and pistachio. The texture totally surprised me --it was soft and stretchy like mochi, but after looking at some of the recipes, it seems the base is actually marshmallow. That probably explains why it's less sweet than you'd expect, with that perfect crunch from the katafi and nuttiness from the pistachio. Definitely going to start experimenting with my own version soon... but I'm glad I got my first fix.
