I absolutely loved the concept of this restaurant, and I have not encountered it before anywhere in the United States. When you enter the restaurant, you receive a plastic card that you swipe whenever you buy something. Order your appetizers and entrees at one station, swipe your card. Order your drinks at the bar (especially off their extensive craft cocktail menu), swipe your card. Go back and order gorgeous and extravagant milkshakes for dessert, swipe your card. One pays at the same desk at the entrance/exit at which one initially acquired the card. So convenient, especially for folks who are not rolling with cash and thus prefer to put the entire meal on one card but who don't want to deal with the hassle of wait service. We're adults and can walk to the appropriate station to order more, thank you very much! I love that all of the bread is made in-house and that the bakery operations are visible through glass walls from the dining area. I love that the dining area is huge and has a wide range of kinds of seating options. The interior design was on point, and the radio was set to a station that was playing popular contemporary pop songs as well as the pop songs that I loved, in the United States, when I was a middle-school student in the mid-1990s. ("All My Life" by K-Ci & JoJo, anyone?) Oh, and the food is delicious! I hadn't eaten a salad in a while, and the one that I ordered was delicious and came with a substantial side of crispy, tasty bread. My husband loved his burger with pulled beef on it. The menu was both in English and in German, which I'm sure facilitates the happiness of all the VW tourists. Nevertheless, even with the English titling, I was confused why the milkshakes are advertised as having homemade marmalade in them. Who puts marmalade in milkshakes? We did not order them, but the shakes look amazing on the restaurant's instagram page. This restaurant is in the heart of Wolfsburg's pedestrian shopping area, but we were able to snag a spot in a very close parking spot nevertheless. As the traditional German service speed is usually at the same pace of a turtle, I enjoyed the EAT very much. You can order right away and have to get up to get your food. That's fast and prompt. They helped us with our beverages. If you know of the German service speed you need to order in advance before you get thirsty. It's like driving an old diesel powered car in which you like to pass someone on a single lane street: before you pick up speed you need to spend some time to press the accelerator before the engine howls and increases the power output. Food was great, fries are more on the lean side. That's ok if you like to stay in shape. read more

I came here after I saw iberico ribs on the menu. Meat from the iberico pig is the pork equivalent to Kobe and Wagyu beef. It did not disappoint. The meat was not only fall-off-the bone soft, but very succulent and juicy. The sauce was also very delicious. I had this with a side of sweet potato fries and an order of their schwarzwurzel salad which had apples and avocados, and I requested their lemon dressing. Not sure what dressing it's supposed to come with, but the person taking my order mentioned it as an option. I am American and was looking for a really good American food but also would be good for my German friend to eat too. It was delicious!!!! Would definitely go again. It was fresh and has a great open atmosphere. The only thing was that the service to order was not friendly. Though to pick up my food they were very kind and the food was so fresh! Would recommend McDonalds before this place. Me and my wife visited in Oct '17. I had the chicken avocado burger and my wife had the classic burger. The chicken and avocado burger was bland.. the chicken was overcooked and tough with little flavour and the rest of the sandwich was without any discernable taste. My wife asked for her burger without mayonnaise, to which she was assured would be no problem, however when the food arrived, the burger was of course covered in mayonnaise. To add insult to injury, the mayonnaise which was served with the fries had clearly been left at room temperature for several hours and had formed a thick skin on the surface. Very unappetizing. Have visited several times in the last two months. The food is consistently good. Staff is friendly and helpful, the food comes out fast even when busy. It's a staple place to go when you don't really know what to get for dinner. Plenty of room for large groups. Highly recommended. read more
