We loved our stay at EasyHotel Victoria! The location was 11min walk from Buckingham Palace. The tube was right around the corner along with local shops and eateries. The room was small as we expected but it was Clean!! Which was really important to us. And we were able to open our window for some air. I would definitely stay here again! If you plan on sightseeing all day and will only be there to sleep, this is the way to do it! Side note: we had a horrible experience at the EasyHotel Heathrow(near the airport) our room was filthy and run down, we never stay at the Heathrow location again. read more

I was so proud of myself for my easyHotel experience. In this case, easy is good, small is better, and cheap is best. Wait, what are we talking about? So anyway, based on Yelp! (THANK YOU, THANK YOU), I decided to book my accomodations online about 6 months in advance. I got a killer deal, I think about 25 pounds an evening. I went alone, and all I really needed a hotel room for was a place to sleep. Which is pretty much all that easyHotel offers. Nothing more, nothing less - and that's all I wanted. You can rent a remote for the TV that's affixed to the wall, you can buy internet time for the computer in the lobby ( a shout out to the friendly front desk clerk that tolerated me for a few hours each evening) . . and I want to say there are other extras you can buy a la carte, but I wasn't paying attention. All I cared about was the cleanliness of the room (spotless), the fact that I had a private bathroom (with shampoo and soap dispensers, thanks again!), towels, and a clean bed. Oh, and air conditioning. I happened to be there during the heat wave of '09 - yes, glorious air conditioning. Location is AMAZING - very easy to get to from Heathrow. This was my first visit to London, and I had no problems following the directions on their website via the tube. Or you can take a train, or if you're insane, a cab. You're probably not paying for cab fare if you're staying at easyHotel, but that's just a guess. So take the tube, it's super easy. A block (maybe) from Victoria Station, within walking distance of Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey (or the next tube stop) Victoria Embankment, etc. There's a Sainsbury's grocery store (watch for the orange shopping bags from all the locals, yes, the same orange that will match the walls of your hotel room) and follow them to the grocery store where you can pick up snacks/fresh prepared and ready-to-go meals for cheap. They say London is an expensive city, but not if you do it smart. Beginning and ending my day @ easyHotel was key. read more

Yes, you can shower while using the toilet, and you will have no room to get dressed, but for 35pounds you can stay in Central London! What a deal!! easyHotel is pretty genius. You get a small space (who hangs out in hotels anyway - they're only for sleep) to lay your head at night. The bed was super comfortable -AND HUGE- and the room was very clean The service left something to be desired. But who cares? They stored our bags for a nominal fee on our day of check-out so we could run around before leaving for the airport. You better like your travel partner, because you will be in CLOSE quarters with him/her. Very close quarters. Of if you are alone, all the better. This place is all you need. read more

I gave this a 3-star, but honestly for the price and location -- this was A-OK. But you need to be of a certain disposition if you're going to make it. The small rooms have zero floor space. Just a bed, room for maybe a suitcase (which you'll have to move when you open either the main door or the bathroom door) and a shower/sink/toilet combo that's about the size of your wingspan (assuming your a human). One room size up gives you the floor space you'll need to operate if you have more than one person. BUT, the bed is gigantic. The bathroom is more than serviceable. And there is a television (if you want to pay for it and stare straight up in the air to see it). Victoria is a main train/tube hub so it's easy to get anywhere in the city and this hotel is just about a 5 minute walk south of it. So, don't be snobby, suck it up and do it. There are about 20 other hotels on this strip, but I would go with Easy, cheesy. read more

NOT GREAT BUT NOT BAD MAY NOT BE FAMILY FRIENDLY We stayed at this hotel for five nights on our vacation before heading to Heathrow back to the States. Pros: -Very convenient location right next to the Victoria Underground Station and to all the attractions. -Nice huge and comfortable bed. -Cheap for the area and London. -Staff was friendly and helpful Cons: -Small and a bit noisy at times -Bathroom to small -Extra charges The one thing that did bother me a lot about this hotel was our neighbors who I can hear through our walls. For the first two nights there was a girl screaming her lungs out while having sex and I heard this 7-8 times for the first two night. We complained but they said they would take care of it. It really bugged me but after the neighbors everything was good. Just be aware of this if your going with children. read more

This hotel is embarrassing and thanks God I have booked a room with window (and it is already claustrophobic) People avoid this place! Pay a little more and go in a better place! You have to pay: - wifi, 4£ per hour or 10£ per day - cleanings 15£ - tv 5£ per hour - cup of tea 1£ each - convertor 5£ - hair dryer 10£ And a lot more! Ideal for the single traveler. The location is perfect, just a short walk to Victoria Station, Buckingham Palace Road and plenty of tourist destinations. The rooms are exactly as portrayed in the photos- TINY. But, just enough room for someone who isn't planning on spending a lot of time in the room. I paid the extra for a room with a window. It was on floor 2 and had a nice view overlooking Belgrave Road. I'd stay here again if I were traveling alone or with someone I REALLY liked. read more

Worst experience ever. Basically, during the heatwave we stayed in their underground room. Which means no windows but of course an air conditioner is provided. We asked the very sweet and helpful receptionist, Calvin, to turn it on and he did. After one minute of it being on it shut off. We asked him again and he came to our room and turned it on again, and again after one minute it shut off. The people next door had the same issue but Calvin was able to keep theirs on. Ours, on the other hand, kept turning off. Calvin came into our hot unbearable room, THREE more times to help us and it would not work. We could not stay in that room. So I called Booking.com to inform them about the situation and we stayed somewhere else. Turns out, EasyHotel refuses to return our money even though we didn't stay one single night. They also claim that the a/c was indeed working. But that is a LIE, we had every intention on staying up until the a/c incident. Now, since we got the room at a low rate they say it's not refundable, which I'd understand if we left for a reason that was our fault but it wasn't. It is their fault and they basically stole our money. So no, I do not recommend for anyone to stay, if you can afford anywhere else please do not even consider this horrendous hotel. And the pictures on yelp, looked nothing like our room. Our room shower had stains on the wall and I poured water on it and it came off. read more

i stayed in this hotel a month ago for a few nights and it was absolutely perfect for what we needed - central, cheap and clean. the staff are very friendly and although the rooms are small they are well ventilated. superb hotel, will definately stay there again in the future! read more

Location wise this is in an excellent place, not five minutes walk to Victoria train station and tube. It is located on Belgrave Road, not to be mistaken with Belgrave street which is north of the station. The hotel is literally along the street from the station on a street with several other bed and breakfast hotels. Easy Hotel operates like a hostel and you must use a buzzer to gain access to the hotel. The reception is located on ground level and the staff are very friendly and happy. The rooms are described as small, medium or large. There are basement rooms with no windows. Expect to pay as little as £30 for these rooms. They can get hot and stuffy though. The bathroom doubles as a toilet and shower. Two towels are provided per room. There is no T.V access unless you pay £5 per 24 hours. The ligt in the room can be dimmed but even on the lowest setting the glare can be annoying. read more

I stayed in this hotel 2 weeks ago whilst going to a gig in London. The most importnat thing to remember is - you get what you pay for. They don't deny the rooms are tiny and that you have to pay to watch television - but this is the point to keep the costs down! When I stayed there, yes my room was tiny, but it was fun! The room was very clean, staff were polite (although had some difficulty grasping english!) and my only complaint was that my toilet seat was broken! The location is good - around a 5 minute walk to the tube and bus station. There is no restaurant here so breakfast isn't even an option ( McDonalds is only a short walk away though). Book well in advance and it's a bargain! read more

This is a fantastic place to stay if all you want is a bed and a toilet. It's better than a hostel and probably the same prcie. You have the privacy of your own room but it is small you get what you pay for. The first time we went we didn't have a window which was taking it a bit too far. If you are booking here then be sure it is what you are looking for. I have stayed and think that it is perfect if you are simply looking for somewhere to put your head down to sleep for a few nights without paying what can otherwise be excessive London rates. The rooms are kept clean and the area is quiet enough not to disturb you but do not expect musch more than that - but why would you need much more when there is plenty to keep you busy in the city? Just as with the airline, if you can book far enough in advance then you will be able to get the cheaper prices - and at around £30 per night they certainly left a few extra quid to see / do other things in and around the ciity. As i say, good value for money and you definately only get what you pay for - not a lot :-) read more

Only sleep here if you're alone. Otherwise it's just too small. Especially for two dudes. If you're looking for cheap and can tolerate zero space, then go for it. Otherwise find something bigger. Being able to pee in the toilet while showering is NOT cool, FYI. The bathroom is equally as tiny as the bedroom. read more

Five stars for location and price. Lots of cheap places to eat and shop in nearby Pimlico which is virtually a block away from the hotel. Oh and us yanks will appreciate this: there's a Starbucks a block away! Also very close to everything including transportation at Victoria Station and short walk to Buckingham palace. Minus two stars for pubes I found tucked in between the sheets and the wall. eww. gross. I went here with my boyfriend and was really in distress about the small basement room we got. It was literally the size of the bed with no place for our luggage. We argued with the staff and got upgraded to a slightly bigger room (i believe it was their Standard with Window) on the top floor which was an amazing value at 35 pounds a night. The GayZ recommendation: If you're traveling alone and on a super tight budget, and all you want is a place to sleep/fuck/crash/be alone, and you don't mind the slightly third/other world feel of a tiny pod room, stay at this hotel. But if you are traveling with a partner, spring for an actual hotel (or hostel) with things like nightstands and a space to walk around your bed. You'll appreciate it when you don't have to step over each other and your things just to get to the bathroom (which by the way is probably the coolest thing in the entire room). My other recommendation is that you not tell anyone that is where you are staying. You'll get laughed at by the Brits for wanting a tiny orange room, and your American buds will think you are UBERstrange and cheap. All but the hardiest of Americans won't be able to deal with the tiny quarters, so if you are planning on staying, I recommend you get the largest room possible with a window. The small rooms are literally the size of a queen sized bed and a space big enough for the bathroom door to open into the room which means your luggage might not fit. IT'S THAT TINY!! read more

Wow....what an experience. Being someone who enjoys alternative accomodations on my Europe trips this was definitely a concept I wanted to try. The location is great, and I would definitely recommend this neighborhood, with easy walking distance to reastaurants, supermarket, and the tube. For 35 pounds I think we got our moneys worth. However, with two people in the tiniest room ever, I don't know if I would do it again. Everything costs extra, which is fine enough, since I'm not very needy except for a clean/quiet place to sleep. However, I think I would rather stay at a hostel for the same price. The benefit of more extras (i.e. free internet/breakfast) that I can get at hostels in London v. the lack of privacy or private shower is more important. But it just depends on what you find to be the most important. Also, I would not say the cleanliness of the room was very stellar, one of those places that I'm ok with because I don't look too closely. If you're thinking of giving this place a try, I would say go for it. What's the worst that can happen. ;P read more

This hotel is TINY - but for the price, I'll take it! I think they seriously put a bed down on the floor, and then built the walls AROUND the bed as they were building the hotel. There is probably a 3 x 4 "space" that you can walk in/put your suitcase and they charge you for everything - TV remote, holding your luggage, hair dryer, etc. The bathroom is teeny - you could probably shower as you're sitting on the toilet (and brush your teeth at the same time). BUT at least the bed is comfortable! It'll be fine if you stayed alone or someone you're REALLY close to since you'll practically be living right on top of one another! The concierge here is terrible - we'd asked for directions to the National Express and they'd have to look it up on the computer. We then asked for directions to another location and they'd have to then again look it up! Maybe they don't live in the area or are directionally-challenged, but if you're going to be at the "concierge" desk, I'd expect them to know some things around the area! read more

Claustrophobic! I'm all for basic lodging, as long as I can sleep. The basement room (#7) had no windows and was steaming hot (25-30C), but reception said the central airco was already on max. I couldn't stretch out in the bed, wedged between two walls, unless lying diagonally across. It was a long, sleepless and positively claustrophobic night. read more

Was here in May, but I guess it's never too late to write a review. So, about the hotel it is conveniently located about 5 mins away walking from Victoria Station which makes some of the most famous landmarks easily accessible. Hotel's staff was friendly and nice enough to check us in before 15:00 which is the usual check-in time. I knew the rooms tiny, but never imagined such a small room. The bed was really, really big (which is both good and bad having in mind room's size) and comfortable, sheets were clean. Bathroom was also clean, with hot water all the time. What I did not specifically like was the fact that the AC temperature was only centrally adjustable, so I wasn't able to turn it off or increase the temperature room this size easily gets freezing. After asking the receptionist, though, she increased the degrees a bit. I'd return again, though, never for more than 3 nights after that it really feels like you're sleeping in a box. read more

If you only want basics and care nothing for life's necessities (such as free drinking water and fresh air that hasn't been recycled) then this is for you, especially if you like the colour orange. To be fair I knew when i booked i would be having a room with no view, well it had no window actually and i thought i wouldn't miss it-i did! These 'pod rooms' really are small, one end is made up of a bed (orange bedding, orange walls) which is surrounded by walls, like a prison cell but smaller i guess. The other end is a square of floor and the en-suite. Here you can sit on the loo, while resting your knees on the basin while reaching out to turn on the shower. Of course its all orange. On the back of the door are 2 hooks for your clothes. This was a double room so if you put your case on the small square of floor i guess you would take turns to get undressed or stand on the bed to do that. It was a very hot night and the air con was lovely and cold. Tea or coffee came from a hot water thing downstairs at a pound a shot and was disgusting, sat outside on the step to drink it along with most of the staff. I wanted a drink of water and was directed to the local tesco. The recycled air gave me a headache by morning. Or maybe it was the colour orange. It was definitely an experience. There are better places to stay than this for about the same price. The staff were nice but didn't speak english as their first language. No power points or wi-fi. read more

I stayed with my partner in the cheapest double bedroom and there was very little room for us to move around, once we got our luggage inside. Two ppl can not get ready at the same time standing because there is not enough space. No WiFi. No breakfast...just nothing really but the bathroom. This is the perfect place if you literally just need to get your head down ready for an early start the next morning and is incredibly handy for Victoria rail station or if you are catching a coach from the area. Literally a bed and bathroom, comfortable and clean. However beware of the little extras, like there is a smashing TV in the room but to use the remote will cost £5 a night extra or £20 for 7 nights (I wouldn't recommend more than 1 or 2 nights here though). Despite being very handy for many things we had a room at the front and it was exceptionally quiet from the road outside. There didn't appear to be any heating and I guess, air conditioning would involve opening the window! read more

Sets the benchmark for austerity. The only room furniture is a bed so be prepared to live out of your suitcase if your planning a long stay. Not really suitable for business trips IMO as there's no where to hang a shirt or trousers. It's cheap but then many of the hotels down this road are and can be booked at a similar rate. It has some advantages; it can be booked over the web and the overall service is reliable and efficient. read more

The room I stayed in for £30 (for 2 people) was extremely tiny. But for the price of the place, you cannot get better value in terms of location and cleanliness.
