I called a couple of transport company's but they were already closed for the day. Ricardo answered my call and was able to provide a ride for my dad's appointment in the morning. He picked him up as scheduled and got him there safe and on time. So grateful.

Then we had to change our start date because of street service and Armstrong accommodated us. My mom didn't quite need to be on a stretcher but she couldn't stand without assistance. Other companies refused to help her and said we would have to get a stretcher, except because of the narrow hallways it wouldn't work. Armstrong had no problem using a wheelchair and assist my mom to stand up. They were very professional, accommodating, and reasonably priced. They stayed in communication with me all the time. Unfortunately we didn't get to use them long as my mother passed shortly after we started using Armstrong but I am grateful that they made it easy and affordable for us. As they were taking him into his bedroom as he has been put on hospice has two fractured bones in his tailbone and suffering from lung cancer. They dropped him!! Onto the floor. The guy stated Oh I thought I dropped you on a pillow. My brother stated are you crazy!. I contacted the supervisors who said there is no incident report that should be given to the family. The EMTs that were on scene gathered in a huddle stated stayed outside did not provide an incident report and then simply left. I am now calling the supervisor. I want to talk to management. Do not use this service if you love your family. How do you drop a terminally ill man who is 61 years old on the floor. The manager called me back and stated that the for EMTs said they did not drop my brother. That is a lie!!. I'll be getting an attorney. I don't understand how you're supposed to care for somebody and you drop them on the floor, lie and say your supervisor. Stand around and ask if he's okay. I I contact management and they said that the for EMTs reported that they did not drop my brother. I don't have any reason to lie about what happened to him. My brother has cancer and is terminally ill what am I gaining telling the world that Liberty Ambulance carrier Transportation or whatever the hell they're called suck! Do not use the service they will lie and cheat do negligence and bodily harm to your loved one it just happened to us. I contacted Cali Van and spoke with Nick. I explained the situation and my needs, as I would need no special equipment. I was informed that this is a common service they provide. This conversation took place on a Monday, and the upcoming Thursday was the day of the procedure. I was also told I just needed to give the company information to the medical staff so they would know who would be picking me up, and they would be able to coordinate the discharge time with their arrival. I used ride share to get to the procedure location. I gave the contact information to the nurse, who told me my transportation would need to be confirmed before the procedure could even begin. I was later informed they were not able to connect with anyone at Cali Van, and the voicemail was full. I then started calling and had the same result; no answer, and the voicemail was full. I'm now starting to panic because I had prepared for the procedure, and I had confirmed with Nick the date and time of my transportation need. Fortunately, I was able to find someone else to pick me up after the procedure. It's been approximately 3 weeks since this happened, and neither Nick nor anyone else from Cali Van has attempted to contact me to acknowledge their failure to be available for my scheduled pickup after a medical procedure. The lack of professionalism from Cali Van was unacceptable, stressful, and inexcusable for a company that is working with people in sensitive medical situations. Who just ignores a confirmed medical transportation appointment pickup? Cali Van Medical Transportation does!

Because of her narrow staircase which has a 90-degree turn to get upstairs to her bedroom, we HAD to have a "stair chair." I called several companies until I found Cali Van. They had the specialized chair and it worked beautifully. The driver sent out, Jasur (sp?), was kind, efficient, considerate, and cared about my mom. Mom (95 yrs old) had a fractured leg and had to be handled very carefully to avoid any unnecessary pain and Jasur treated her with kid gloves. The price was more than reasonable. They were on time (actually early!). With all the stress associated getting Mom home & coordinating all the other services, Cali Van was the ONLY ONE that performed seamlessly and didn't add to my stress level.
