Hired to refinish two tubs. Within weeks the finish was chipping and peeling. The installed drain…read moreon one had some material that was bubbling up and basically destroyed that area near the drain. The surfaces were not glossy on the bottoms of the tubs. They were in fact hole-y from bubbles in the epoxy he had used and when he sanded them down it resulted in the aforementioned holes. In areas with proper lighting you could see just how terrible the finish was on the floor of the tubs. Uneven, rough, and pitted in areas. Once used dirt and grim clung to these areas and you could see the full extent. I had another contractor paint the outside of one tub and as they were handling it the lip of the tub chipped all over. You could tell he hadn't prepared the surface beneath properly and that is why it was chipping and peeling as the surface was completely glossy and not prepped. After telling him this he accused me of trying to scam him! I tried to remain as civil as possible but he eventually just stopped taking any communication. I have fully documented with high res pictures the crappy work quality. Go elsewhere, find a reputable contractor other than this charlatan. His 2001 looking website touts being part of associations and that his finish has a 10 year warranty... it's all BS. You should not be able to see the literal swirl marks in the finish on a job well done. CHECK THE PICS

We had two tubs resurfaced by Surface Solutions. Both tubs began to bubble and peel after a few…read moremonths. I contacted Don, the owner, and he sent a crew out to re-do the job. The second resurfacing was completed and a few months later, both tubs peeled and bubbled again. Having lost confidence in Surface Solutions to do quality work, I contacted Don, the owner, to request a refund. Even though the work was still covered by warranty, he refused to refund any money. Saying, "I never refund money." If you're thinking of using Surface Solutions, find someone who will actually stand behind their work and save yourself the time, money and the aggravation.
