I had previously checked with my insurance company to see my coverage which showed no problems but i asked the front desk attendant to double check that i am covered and she called right away with no complains or issues (or sass that i typically get by healthcare companies in syracuse) so i really appreciated that interaction The doctor then came in poked my teeth for a second and looked at the xrays and told me in my front tooth i need a root canal and crown. I came into her office in pain unable to eat, and I left her office still in pain, with no relief, no antibiotics, a charge, and a referral in hand. I'm not sure if she knew at that point she injured my tooth and did not want to admit to it, but the specialist she sent me to seemed to hint that the filling she did was the "root" of my problem.

But what truly won me over with him, not that I wasn't already, is when the next thing he said was. "I'd love to meet her. Your mother. Are you able to wait a cpl extra minutes in the waiting room after we are done here, I'd like to come out and introduce myself to her"....ok I won't lie, that honestly touched my heart....who does that? What professional WANTS to take the time to come out and meet a 78 yr old woman, a patients mother ? And she even had a cpl questions and he nvr once rushed her, said he didn't have time to answer questions, blow her off or make her feel like her questions were not important. That, to me, is the highest form of respect. . But THAT is who Dr. DiMento is. That's the kind of human being he is. He's not looking at you as a "paycheck", he truly treats his patients like family.
