She said the dog "didn't seem to be distressed" and said I needed to leave. She stated she would stay and talk to the owner. She was dismissive and I didn't like her attitude, because a hot car can get flaming hot in a short span of time. I emailed the DeWitt police department and filed a complaint. Fast forward a few days, a DeWitt officer called me. He had received my email and still asked me what happened. So, I told him. I added the female officer who responded was flippant about the whole situation and likely didn't stay to observe the dog and talk with the owner. He asked how I would have liked her to handle the situation, and I told him she should have gone into Wegmans and had them make another announcement and also waited for the owner to educate that person. He then confirmed what I already suspected. The officer left the scene without talking to the owner, after telling me to leave, when I wanted to stay and monitor the dog. He said she got called to a medical emergency and that was more of a priority. Say what? Aren't MEDICS supposed to respond to a MEDICAL emergency? He told me if I had any more concerns, to call or email. I said, "Not that will do me a lot of good," and hung up on him. You can bet if that was a baby or child left in a hot car, more would have been done. PATHETIC!

Honestly I seen no light in my situation and by the grace of God and this great guy Officer E. Oskay.., I made it home to my kids by the morning! Life is what you make it and although you make your mistakes you learn from them.. you move on and make life better for yourself and your kids. Officer E.Oskay left me with encouragement, motivation, and another CHANCE! I APPRECIATE YOU TO THE MAX And I WILL NEVER FORGET MEETING YOU!

A large van hit my open car door as I was exiting from it. I was legally parked on the side of the…read moreroad. Officer Christopher Czolowski was called to the scene. I was ticketed. He told me to get into my car. I complied but said something to the man who hit me because I thought it was wrong for me to get the ticket. Officer Czolowski came to my car and pulled me out, slammed me to the ground and dragged me several yards. He proceeded to forcefully twist and slam me into the ground about 30 times. He then threatened to taser me. I was a 58 year old woman who is disabled. I had bruises all over my arms and legs because of this and was very shaken by the incident. I would never call the Phoenix Police Department for any reason. This was uncalled for and a clear case of police brutality and Officer Czolowski should not be on the police force.

No, it never made the media, the West side no surprise there. My family member was basically told , you survived. Get over it! They could care less about crime victims. We lived it! They acted irritated honestly. Before what happened to our family, we could never have imagined such behavior even existed. There was not an ounce of compassion for the victim here. Others said, get use to it and now you know how we have felt for so long. I feel for crime victims in today's world because if it doesn't happen to them, they don't care. Also, if you know the right people , they act like nothing happened! Everybody should be treated fairly , If we were up the ladder more, like they want to believe they are. we believe things would have been a lot different. With so much traffic at the intersection of Turk Hill and Whitney Rd and almost getting hit a couple times, Officer Thompson put his car behind mine so I wouldn't get hit. Despite, him getting almost hit as well and the drivers not stopping when told too, he stayed there until the tow truck got there. Finally, after 2 1/2 hours, I was on my way to work. Just some advice for drivers, slow down when there are situations like this one. No job is worth your life or someone else's life. Again, thank you Officer Thompson. Sherry

I had my fly down when I first got pulled over, and they cited me for an "Escaped Piece." But this…read moreis not a review of my Escaped Piece. It's the State Police. I didn't come up with this listing name, it was already on Yelp like this. Don't blame me. I've never had any good experiences with the state police. I think once or twice they let me off without a ticket, and then a few other times they gave me pretty hefty tickets. Near my house, they pull me over all the time - and many others - as a form of harrassment. For doing absolutely nothing. It usually seems like daylight robbery, by a bunch of sharks to be honest. I've seen guys in big trucks doing absolutely stupid things that risk everybody's lives as well as semis right in front of the cops and they don't do anything because they're only really interested in pulling you over at the moments when they happen to be shooting radar and hiding out somewhere. If you're doing 12 miles over the limit they're happy to take a bunch of money off you. I had my wallet stolen from a rest stop and the Amherst police later help me figure out who did it. But the police they were actually at the rest stop had absolutely no interest in it. That was yet another branch of this wonderful State Police Service.
