I support and value the only the best quality. And, Eastern Phoenix has been my childhood favorite. THEE best Chinese food in America period. We need more locations. read more

Absolutely great quality Chinese food here. Did not have anything bad. Really enjoyed the chicken in garlic sauce with white rice. I got a combination dinner. Singapore Mei Fun was spicy and to my liking. Would return here when in the area. read more

Order from here at least once a week. Only issue is they don't always give soy sauce or duck sauce. Yes, I can eat what I order without it. Just use to getting that bag with sauces and fortune cookies with my order. read more

This place is going downhill fast! Ive been ordering from this place for years and always had great experiences up until about 3 months ago. They are penny pinching so much they barely put any sauce on their food anymore. Then when we called to complain about barely any sauce (they literally put just enough to cover the chicken and absolutely none for the rice) they say we have to say "extra sauce" which is $3.00 extra/meal, if we want all our meals with some sort of sauce that would be over$15/order. Between the prices going up and the meals getting smaller its not even worth ordering from them anymore. We order damn near every 2 weeks and is normally $75-$100 order everytime we order so they KNOW exactly who we are. But between the horrible customer service and the food I will not be ordering from them again. Good luck if you choose to order from them. Krystal Vy and Best Food in Town will be getting our business from now on. read more

Ordered take out and got a mix of Chinese and Japanese food. I had General Tsos Shrimp which had some of the biggest and tastiest shrimp I've had. The sauce had a nice spice, as it should, but I can't say enough about the shrimp. I also had a few pieces of eel sushi which I thought were good, but not great. The people are really nice and the service is good. read more

best sushi in south jersey. they have everything u could ask for and they're such kind people too!

Not too bad a bad place to get a quick bite when the other areas are closed. I usually just grab some crab wontons and an order of tofu, maybe two rolls at most. The vegetarian roll choices are the best bet for us every time. Rarely gotten anything more than that though due to the fish and chicken usually not being the freshest; had a few occasions where it felt almost frozen in the middle, but that's only been experienced perhaps thrice over the past few years. Never tried any of the special rolls, or anything from the kitchen menu, but my family has complained of smaller portions and lack of flavor for the latter compared to other take-out places. My personal complaint is that the beef wontons (even though they're extremely cheap, and I really shouldn't expect much) were salty enough to make me sick after splitting half an order with a friend. read more

Hammontonians don't much like to venture out of Hammonton. Luckily, they really never have to now that Eastern Phoenix has set up shop in downtown H-town, serving the freshest and most delicious sushi I've ever tasted in my life. Eastern Phoenix is the best thing Hammonton has going for it, as far as restaurants go. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that many Hammontonians are aware of this. The inside is really nothing to look at. Upon entering, you're faced with a very tiny sushi bar and kitchen, and a table or two. To the left there is a modestly sized dining room (with the TV turned to Telemundo on mine and boyfriend's last visit.) Don't let its appearance affect your decision to dine with Eastern Phoenix; there's magic coming out of that kitchen. I've only dined here twice, and had takeout several times. However, the young lady who is always hostessing/waitressing immediately recognized boyfriend and me. She is consistently friendly, polite, and pleasant. She even remembered that boyfriend ordered Chicken Lo Mein last time. Eastern Phoenix offers a full range of Chinese food and sushi. I can now attest to the fact that their Chinese offerings are just as delicious as the sushi. I'm not really a fan of Lo Mein, especially not when there's raw fish to be had, but Eastern's is tasty, fresh, and far less greasy than other versions. But I can't lie: I come here for sushi, and sushi alone. Eastern's sushi and sashimi list is extensive and impressive. Definitely the most creative and appealing sushi menu in South Jersey. Everything is beautifully presented and fresh. Eastern's specialty rolls are the highlight of this menu: the Eastern Phoenix Roll, Beautiful Roll, Hammonton Roll, Spider Roll, and Sweetheart Roll all melt in your mouth. Seriously, the best sushi I've ever had. The prices are fair, and I love that they don't send out rolls that are 75% rice and 25% fish. One complaint I have is that they are stingy when it comes to the sashimi portions. They've gotten smaller as the months have progressed. The quality is so spot-on, though, I can't bring myself to dock them a star for it. If you have to go to Hammonton (and even if you don't have to), put Eastern Phoenix on your to-do list. read more

Yum! So I get the general Tsos or the beef and broccoli. Both are so good! I get the combo with with rice and egg roll. And they deliver! It's my go to for Chinese I'm Hammonton. Only thing I wish is their beef sticks were as good as a competitor with the same pricing as well. You get 4? I think at EP for around $10 where as a competitor you get more for less and they taste a bit better. read more

My favorite and only place I'll get sushi. I've been going here for years now and I'm more and more impressed every single time. Definitely the best place in the area to get sushi. It's always fresh and always fast. Everyone that works there is friendly, attentive, and always makes sure were taken care of. I've yet to have even a mediocre experience at Eastern Phoenix. Their specialty rolls are the real winners to me. Me and my boyfriend have tried just about every speciality roll they offer/have offered. Totally worth every penny, every time. read more

The corn soup was great! Sweet tea was the sweetest! Sweet potato roll was amazing! Fried chicken wings was great with the fried rice! And the combo general chicken with fried rice and a egg roll was good too!! I really enjoy eating here with my friends! We come back all the time! read more

Working on a project in Hammonton so found this place on yelp to try out. 3 stars is just about perfect. Everything was fine. I got bean curd Szechuan style. Large portion with lots of veggies (onions, snap peas, mushrooms, carrots, celery). It wasn't spicy enough (or at all) so I asked for hot sauce. The hot sauce they brought out was just plain vinegar hot sauce. Disappointing. I was hoping for a more authentic chili paste. My colleague got the sushi lunch. Large portions. She seemed to enjoy it. It came with miso and salad with that yummy Japanese ginger carrot dressing. When she ordered her dish our server said, "you know that's raw fish, right?". I guess they have to do that in a small town when not everyone is familiar with sushi. It was just funny. Service was okay. It was very crowded and loud in there. Outdoor seating would be nice. Also, the bathrooms could be cleaner. read more

Very friendly staff with prompt service, got the golden roll, shrimp tempura maki and the crunchy spicy tuna. The food was absolutely delicious with affordable pricing and would love to come back, would highly recommend read more

The sushi is pretty good and the Chinese food is also pretty good. I'm glad there's a local place where I can get sushi that's decent.

Just finished take out Maki Combo. Made me sooo happy after a rough week, what a treat!!! Delicious!!! The spicy tuna is superb!!! Love the miso soup as well. So good and reasonably priced! read more

This place was not really great. Really bad service and slow and the waitress forgot to come back to take my order because I wasn't ready and she forgot to give me my food. The cashier gave it to me. Also very dirty and smells bad. The cashier was very nice though. Also nothing like the pictures at all!!!! read more

No lie, I order from Eastern Phoenix every week and I am in love with their food. Their sushi tastes fresh and delicious and their Sesame Chicken is so mouth-watering good, I'm hungry now just thinking about it. In addition to the excellent food, the employees there deliver an excellent customer service experience, the one guy who takes my order remembers exactly what I order by heart! The delivery people are fast and efficient and always offer a polite smile when you greet them and are very appreciative when you leave a tip. If you are looking for some good sushi, or even Japanese cuisine, Eastern Phoenix is for you! read more

LOVE that they have delivery. It's possibly the only place in Hammonton that does so. If you're going here to impress someone, I wouldn't recommend but the food selection is on point (quantity and quality) read more

I eat at Eastern Phoenix 3 to 4 times per week. I do not eat sushi I eat the Chinese food. I have never had a bad meal here. The wontons are amazing. The chef's specials are wonderful. Very good barbecued roast pork. Amazing thin skin dumplings. Eastern Phoenix always been a five-star experience for me! Most people go to eat the sushi. I will say the sushi looks impressive but I like my food cooked. read more

Their sushi didn't seem very fresh and they were suspected of mistreating employees，Their kitchen also has a strange old man together, it doesn't look very clean. My advice is not to waste money read more

They make good sushi and I have been going here for at least 5 years now, but lately this past year there has been an issue every single time I order.... half the time I go there to pick up my order and they haven't even made it yet (like 40 minutes after I called). Or I get home and realize they gave me the wrong food. It's just getting annoying but idk where else to get sushi in town. read more

I have never dined in, we have just done take out. The sushi is always delicious!! The fact that they delivery too is a major plus.

Decent Chinese and sushi delivered. Very consistent product and some of the best General Chicken I've tasted but only when you eat it in the restaurant otherwise the awesome crunch becomes a mess. read more

I'm not one to leave bad reviews but a few of my con workers and I came here for lunch and the service was horrible, so slow. Not only that but the sushi was so fishy and definitely not even close to fresh. I couldn't even eat it. Neither could my co workers. One of them ordered chinese and it was soaked in oil and grease absolutely disgusting. Definitely wouldn't eat there ever again read more

The only place around that I'll go for sushi. Always clean, friendly sushi chef, and great prices. No complaints about the place.

Awesome green rolls! Good customer service! I have to order 3 orders of the green roll because they are so good and I can't stop eating them. read more

Some friends and I have made it a habit of going to Eastern Phoenix as often as possible. None of us have ever had a dish we didn't love - every piece of sushi has been amazing. Eastern Phoenix also makes the best General Tso's Tofu I've ever had. We always dine in, and the service is absolutely wonderful - the staff members are all very kind and thoughtful, especially Nicole :) read more

hate to slam anyplace on the basis of a single take out dish, but if you order 'house special' S7 (printed in red for spicy) described as 'beef, chicken, and shrimp with onions and scallions' in a spicy sauce, you may be astonished to receive a dish consisting of 80% sliced, cooked onions, a couple shrimp, and a few slivers of pressed chix and beef...the scallions which should have added crunch and color logged in at about 1%...a touch of heat in a thoroughly unremarkable 'spice'...the side rice was piping hot and tasty and service was efficient...the dining room was empty the two or three hours i spent walking @ town on a sat. evening though their phone seemed to be ringing the short time i waited...just opening the cover of this preposterous dish was like a poke in the eye with a sharp stick... read more

Favorite place for sushi. The food always tastes fresh. Everyone is nice and attentive. Just a cute little place in downtown hammonton.

Passing thru town, saw good reviews, and tried it. Sushi, while not spoiled, was not right (particularly the excessively red tuna). The Chinese food was way over-starched. On the plus side - the miso soup and salad were good. We won't be visiting this place again. Service was good. read more

Always my first choice for sushi/Chinese food. The atmosphere is great and the servers are awesome. Their delivery service is fast too.
