I purchased a brand new Leapmotor C10, and the lack of integrity from the sales team is staggering. First, I was gaslighted about basic accessories; the car was delivered without mats, and I was told they 'would come later'--I chased for months - they are very good at making excuses. I was only given one key, and the dealership acted like they were doing me a 'favour' by ordering a second one that should have been standard. Most shockingly, they charged me $499 + GST for a 'Wall Charger.' Every Leapmotor C10 comes with factory charging cables standard; I just noticed on an unsigned agreement they sent which means that - they essentially forced me to pay extra for equipment the car cannot function without. I brand new car had faulty battery and they took weeks to repair, then scratched my car and I had to fight so hard against gas lighting me that it again was my fault. Despite being promised a service plan at the time of sale, they are denying it exists and trying to charge me for my first annual service. Check your contracts carefully--or better yet, go to a dealer that values honesty. Terrible customer service and a complete lack of after-sales support. Do not buy from here.stay away.

And they also charge a ridiculous amount for this terrible service. I called and booked an appointment the day before to get a full service and wof done for 9 am. Arrived at the center and asked them how long it would take and the guy said a little more than an hour. After waiting for nearly 1 and half hrs, I went back to check what was wrong and they said they were waiting for some parts and it would take another half hr ... so I kept waiting .. and to cut a long story short .. it took them more than 4 hrs to complete the work and didn't even apologize. The receptionist had the nerve to say I should have booked in advance! ! Having said that the person who did do the wof was extremely efficient .. but unfortunately the front of house staff were not!

I needed a new tyre which was at a good price and within very short time got my new WOF done. Stress-free work shop and great friendly service from the staff. Must also mention, the shop was very clean making it pleasant to actually be there. Will definitely be back :)

Please be aware that for modern…read morecars it does NOT fully include the 4.5L of oil and an additional charge will be required costing approximately $40+. Included is standard mineral oil and not synthetic oil which most cars in the last 10+ years use. This is not clear on the website nor was I told this on the phone when booking. Only found out when I dropped the car off. Too late to go elsewhere as I was leaving for a 500km trip the next day. I believe in 2021 standard oil is synthetic oil (not special oil - whatever special oil is?) and that Midas are breaching the Fair Trading Act. I have lodged a complaint with the Commerce Commission and suggest others do the same. NOTE 1: Both the Midas Howick/Somerville owner and the Company's Franchise Manager were argumentative and not in the least bit interested in my concerns - very poor customer service. NOTE 2: Some Auckland branches do include synthetic oil as part of the service so ring around or go elsewhere.
