Better Business Bureau - Start With Trust - BBB Serving Arkansas

Better Business Bureau

Once again a problem with a BBB ... this time BBB employee falsely claiming "BBB cannot request a…read morebusiness to address, retrain, reprimand or fire an employee." My complaint never brought this up. I addressed a system nonconformance that is not limited to the Strongsville store as this had also occurred at the Parma store. This complaint sought to resolve an obvious system breakdown within the Walmart system. There appears to be an ongoing issue with BBB employees not following procedures and/or making up new BBB requirements that do not follow the formal BBB policies .... Please advise ... not sure which formal direction to take this complaint for resolution. Nonconformances such as these continue to affect the credibility of the BBB in my opinion. 7-9-24 as a follow-up to the BBB response ... my complaint met all the BBB requirements. I have audited quality management systems for most of my long career as well conducted and managed accredited ISO 9001 and sector specific certification audits nationally and internationally. I know how to read complaint requirements. Its not rocket science. Have forwarded my concerns to ABC's 20/20 today. BBB is out of control with employees making up their rules and violating BBB policies. Have also discussed with a former investigative reporter in Cleveland. My rule of thumb ... if it takes too long to explain or the explanation gets complicated or changes from employee to employee there is something dramatically wrong.

I am not surprised to see so many negative remarks about the Better Business Bureau of Arkansas…read more They definitely need to evaluate their management and staff. The person who processes complaints should without a doubt be terminated. I withdrew my complaint (against Walmart) because it took so long to get the Arkansas BBB to process it (she said Halloween is a holiday - I never seen a business close on Halloween). Her constant emails to me why she could not process it because she was too busy left me with no confidence this organization would be fair and impartial and advocate for the consumer. They are more into power plays with consumers. My complaint was one paragraph long. Unfortunately, since she is a representative of this BBB, I filed my complaint with the Attorney General because she refused to process the complaint, and I would not get a fair decision due to her. Again, she should be terminated. The Arkansas BBB is a horrible group that practices deception and abuse of a consumer 's rights and is absolutely not representative of the BBBs that are decent and impartial BBBs that I have dealt with, with hose that are very good at their job and are concerned about the consumer. Usually complaints are processed within hours. She emailed me constantly and would not process it until it was at least three business days, BUT she had time to email me constantly. Again, she should be terminated. The Arkansas group is NOT representative of a decent BBB. Basically, you suffer abuse at the hands of the company and then you suffer abuse at the hands of the very organization that is supposed to provide assistance to the consumer - Arkansas BBB is not going to help you.
