We ordered a custom sofa from Sheffield with COM fabric. All dimensions of the sofa were clearly…read moredelineated on the order form, carefully reviewed by Sheffield, and signed off by Sheffield and us. The sofa was delivered with the correct fabric and looked good. However, we later realized that the chaise portion of the sofa was 3 inches narrower than specified on the order form. Instead of being 39" wide (interior) it is 36" wide. Sheffield has refused to do anything to make the order match what was specified, what they agreed to, and what we paid for. They claim that being 3" narrower is "within spec" and maybe a result of the fabric pulling it narrower. The fabric!?! Pulling a wooden frame in 3"?!? An absurb dodge to avoid their cost to rebuild the sofa as specified. Sheffield did not stand behind the contract that they signed to deliver quality furniture.

When I say something is a relative bargain, I mean they Eden at the most reduced price you will not find a Tiffany lamp for $5. Consider that the lamp was, let's say, $900 new, they might price it at $400 to start and it's still a good price for what it is. They don't negotiate beyond the tag. Staff are minimal and unobtrusive. You're generally left to wander the two floors (main floor, lower floor) to your hearts content. It's a lovely store that I enjoy visiting every few weeks to see what's new and what I might want - the other day I bought the stained glass lamp in one of the photos. I love it.

A lot of these vendors have their own little museums going. It's a shame because this could be a really great spot. I only go once every 4-6 weeks because the turnover of inventory is not what it should be. A lot of things sit collecting dust because the prices are outrageous. When this was a bigger space, there was at least a larger variety of vendors who would be willing to negotiate. Hoping when they move to a bigger space that things will change over and prices will be a little more reasonable.
