The Estate at East Wind - Cocktail Hour was out of this world!

Came here for just a one night stay on a summer weekend. High point of the experience was…read moredefinitely the service. The staff behind the desk not only helped me make sure that everything would be ready for us before our stay, but were very kind and accommodating to our requests during the trip. Rooms are nice for the most part, but oddly lacking in the overhead lighting they provide, so hopefully anything you need to get ready for doesn't require too much illumination. Otherwise the rooms are comfortable, albeit a bit on the smaller side but large enough for a short stay. Parking is decent in the attached lot, but getting out can be a little rough since it's right along a main road. Additionally, it's within earshot of the racetrack, which can be quite noisy during the day, but was no issue by the time we got back at night. Breakfast is also served in the mornings and they offer a good variety and decent quality, but nothing to write home to mom about, but I've certainly had worse too. Overall, I'd be glad to stay here again if I find myself needing a night or two out east.

What a beautiful venue for my nephews wedding. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous and well…read moremaintained. Countless areas to achieve the most perfect pictures. The entry is very spacious with lovely decor, lighting and a warm and welcoming fireplace. It was in this room that everyone was offered champagne while family and friends were taking professional photos. There is a few chairs and a couch for those that need to sit. Right off this entry room is spacious restrooms. Now it is time for the cocktail hour and may I say you will be very pleased. You name it, it is yours. Fresh fruits, vegetables, salads galore, charcuterie platter , guacamole, chips and so on and so on. I didn't visit the hot meats, seafood or pasta stations but I did notice many guests were enjoying their selections. There were countless servers coming from every direction with a variety of delicious hors d'oeuvres. Seriously, it went on non-stop for an hour. There was a very large bar serving excellent drinks that never stopped. Hopefully everyone left decent tips! The staff worked very hard, constantly moving, cleaning and serving with a smile. It was wonderful to see the young community taking pride in their work. They are truly an asset to this establishment! Great job young adults! Ok so now the wedding reception. Like no other wedding reception my husband and I have ever experienced. The reception room was very large and beautiful. Gorgeous flooring and lighting fixtures. So grand and please don't but you could eat off the floor. It was very comfortable to walk around and a very spacious and open dance floor. Fast foward the main course and dessert. Again the staff was perfection. Constantly asking if anyone would care for a cocktail and always serving with a smile. The salad and main course was beautifully platted and served on a timely fashion. A few guests commented that the portions were a little small but after that cocktail hour who really needed a large meal. Some guests also weren't completely pleased with their main course. Managers and staff walked around and asked guests if there was anything that needed to be addressed so I'm sure it was rectified swiftly. I was completely satisfied with the salmon I ordered so no complaints here! And then here comes the desserts. OMG, again you name it! My nephew spared no expense. From the main wedding cake to the mini ice cream cones everything was delicious. This was a spectacular wedding and East Wind was a big part of that success. We had a great time! East Wind is convenient to get to and has a very large parking lot. They also offer accommodations at the Inn and Spa at a reasonable cost. Myself and my family highly recommend The Estate at East Wind for a spectacular wedding!!

Fairways that were indistinguishable from the first cut. Sand traps that were hard and full of weeds and greens that were rock hard and burnt to a crisp. So sad. This was once a beautiful course and now it's an absolute dump. Save your money. If we had gotten a good deal at least we would understand why but we paid around $150 for 2 w/a cart. Bad, bad, bad... Even the ball cleaners would omit a dank disgusting odor when you used them The cart girl couldn't even sell us a beer to ease our pain as they no longer have a liquor license. Do the right thing and shut this place down until you get your affairs in order and stop stealing from your patrons.

The bag drop is staffed by very professional young men whom are eager to take your clubs. The driving range is very clean and you get a generous serving of golf balls for $5. The pro shop, albeit small, is sufficient to take care of your needs. The locker rooms are clean, spacious and have a wide variety of toiletries for your pre and post golf hygiene. The bar (19th hole) is staffed by servers whom have really heavy hands. The wine pours must be 10 ounces! They also have a good selection of craft beers on draft. The macaroni and cheese is quite decadent and I recommend having some if you have time. While at the bar, as for Joelle, tell her I sent you.

We were deciding between a few caterers and had a tasting with the Perry's that just sealed the deal. My (now) husband and I walked out of there saying it felt like we just had lunch with our aunt & uncle, it felt like we had known them that long! They are two amazingly warm people -- of course it helps that John is incredibly organized and good at his job and that Nikki makes the most delicious bites. We devoured every little last bite at that tasting.. Nothing went to waste! John was so helpful with everything leading up to the day of as well, from picking out rentals, to working out our timeline. We decided to have a different format (cocktail stations as opposed to a formal sit-down dinner) and working together, John helped us make sure we'd have a smooth flow and that everything would go off without a hitch. As we were working out the details with the rentals, I never felt like he was pushing me one way or the other -- even when he put together the list of kitchen items they'd need (my venue did not provide any set-up), I knew he was being careful about not over-ordering. I really felt like he had my best interests in mind at all times. Having him to coordinate all the details made me feel at ease.. I knew I was in good hands! On our actual wedding day, we were so well taken care of. The staff made sure we were eating (haha, doesn't always happen at weddings!) and everything ran so smoothly. Later in the evening, a very traumatic family emergency happened during the reception that put a frightening pause on the celebration. John was a rock and I really felt like I looked to him for the "What now?" John & Nikki were different from some of our other vendors with whom we'll probably not be in touch again. I feel like we'll be sending John & Nikki Christmas cards for years to come.. :) They embraced us and made us feel like family, and I'm certain they will you too.

4.5/5: My girlfriend & I went here for my birthday week…read more Exterior: We loved the look of the hotel from the outside and parking was easy. During the day it was beautiful and at night the trees were all lit up which felt magical. We liked the area where people get married as well. Inside front desk area: Gorgeous and perfect for pictures we absolutely loved the way it was decorated and the sheer size of the main room. There is plenty of seating. We received our room key right away and the key return was simple too. The Room: The large size of the room, the feel of the bed, the furniture, the draw space, the small but empty fridge kept our drinks cold, and the lighting was nice. Our room was conveniently placed on the first floor near the front desk and near our car. BATHROOM: It was large, had an extra towel, and nice bathroom products. The shower was good and fit 2 comfortably and it had a large bath but the stopper was not working so we did not try it again as it made more sense to try the pool to relax. (We are young but I think older people may have trouble getting in and out). POOL: The pool was INDOOR and well lit, warm, and we had no other guests there the 2 times we went. They had plenty of towels, places to sit/relax, and a bathroom at the pool too. (Note: No food or drink is allowed in the pool). STAFF: The hotel staff and front desk staff was pleasant and helpful. They gave us an extra tissue box on request. They made it easy to book an extra night too. Restaurant on premise: We saw they had a restaurant and went only for drinks at the end of the night. It is not open that late so check the hours. Next time we come we will try the food. Shops: In walking distance is a small shopping center with a wine store, cheese store, candy store, a carousel, a restaurant, a pizza shop, and several others that were lit up at night and pleasant to walk through. It had decorations for Christmas. It was a bit cold, so I can see spring/summer being a better time to visit. They do not have everything and are geared to weddings so you may still want to venture out. (Also it felt odd they did not have a hairstylist/makeup artist shop, or photographer studio as one of the shops since there are so many weddings here). Keep in mind these are separate establishments. Protip: check the hours for the carousel before going. Negatives: -0.5 There is NO microwave in the room, only 1 shared microwave at the front desk where they serve complimentary coffee/tea and sell affordable snacks/perishables. (This was still much better than expensive minibar/minifridges in the room like in other hotels). We never had to wait for the microwave but reheating and carrying it back to the room and opening the heavy door was a little rough sometimes. I could see this being tedious to older guests. SMART TV: It is a nice size smart tv but you have to sign into your apps on the tv and actively remember to sign out or the next guest will have access to your netflix, hulu, etc. (several guests forgot to do so) The hbomax app was not immediately available and required a download code from the hotel and I did not want to do all of that at 1am so we skipped it and watched something else. Hoping the hotel staff will download ALL the possible apps ahead of time so guests do not have this issue in the future. Weddings/events: This felt like a perfect spot that was affordable and luxurious in terms of hotel. I did not attend an event here but saw they finished an event with many people the night we arrived and were prepping for a wedding the day we were leaving. Everyone seemed happy. Spa: The spa seems like a fun feature but the price is too much for us (it is even more than the hotel night stay) but it might be worth splurging if it was a honeymoon. Gym: The gym near the pool was not accessible. There was a separately owner gym/fitness center that charged a small fee. (We did not go and enjoyed swimming as exercise instead). 4.5/5: Of all the hotels we visited in 2025, this was the BEST experience and affordable. It was worth our 1.5 hr drive making the NY staycation (my birthday week) a real vacation. We hope to go once a year every year and will even considered it for our future wedding if they have affordable pricing and maintain the quality.

We had our wedding at East Wind Long Island on October 26, 2025, and it was absolutely amazing!…read moreEverything from start to finish was beautifully done and so well-organized. We had our reception in the Veranda Room, which was absolutely stunning -- our guests couldn't stop talking about how gorgeous it was. We worked with Nicole, who was such a sweetheart and incredibly attentive from the very beginning. On the day of the wedding, we had a few hiccups (nothing related to the venue or staff), but our bridal attendant, Lex, was PHENOMENAL! Truly, she deserves a raise -- she went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly and that I was taken care of. I couldn't have made it through the day without her! The service was classy, the food was delicious, and everything ran so seamlessly. The only thing that surprised me was that, for the cost of the rooms, I would have expected some additional amenities -- like bottled water in the rooms -- but that's such a small detail compared to how wonderful everything else was. Overall, I highly recommend East Wind Long Island for your wedding or any special event. It was a dream come true!
