But the receptionists, nurses, & doctors have gone above & beyond from start to finish from the moment I walked in. They've been on top of every call, appointment, follow-up, medication fill/refill, referrals for other things (I initially came here about an ingrown toenail cause I needed a PCP to have a referral to one Id originally gone to that told me a PCP had to refer me) & Dr. Jeri told me they do ingrown toenail procedures at their office! She did mine herself & as much as I absolutely despise needles, she did wonderfully & talked me through everything. I came to Prestige as a disillusioned patient from the churn and burn Banner Clinic experience (horrific and impersonal). Candee and her small but mighty staff are the most responsive, caring and conscientious people out there. Never have I been left hanging (ahem Banner, who took a year to get my well woman billing correctly submitted for payment to my carrier and billed me $800 in the interim) and when I call Candee or message the portal I get a same day response. Candee has helped me lose weight, fix my A1-c and cholesterol, and has gotten my preventive work all done in record time. I now have a CPAP machine and sleep well for the first time in years. She takes time to understand how my body works and I've literally never had a visit with her that was less than 40 minutes of solid face time resolving my health questions and concerns. My quality of life is so much better because I now have a true partner in my quest for better health. Seeing Candee has changed my health and her expertise and care has vastly improved my life. An urgent care disguised as a family practice that rarely, if ever, let's you see a doctor (over 30 visits for my family), Generation's billing practices are a nightmare. Here's some examples: Step one: Charge the completely wrong insurance company. 3 months later get rejected by the wrong insurance carrier, gets it to correct BCBS organization, pays the partial. Step two: Generations sends invoice days later stating that the money owed is 90+ days overdue, that the next step is to send to collections and charge a 33% penalty. First invoice ever sent. Step three: When I call to pay, I am told that the words on the invoice, as well as it stating past due by 90 days, isn't true as its their first invoice. That they meant to send it to the wrong BCBS because "that's what we do in AZ, just submit it to AZ" even though the ID number, card, etc. all state the correct account information. No apology. No acknowledgement. Step four: Paid, informed them that after bringing our entire family to Generations for over 4 years, they have lost our business. Similar situations have happened with their billing department, from double charges, to failing to credit previous payments to correct accounts, etc. for years. And finally, no apology, acknowledgement, or even the bother for a phone call from the actual doctors after many issues and complaints. We hung in there as my family liked one of the practitioners, but clearly it's a bad practice. I do not recommend and hope for the sake of their patients that their practice is evaluated.

I was a patient for years and have had Dr. Jensen as my primary care doctor almost the entire time…read moresince moving to San Tan Valley in 2006. To make something VERY clear right off the bat, Dr. Jensen is NO longer working or residing anywhere in the valley at this point. That is my only complaint about the man because he was deeply rooted in the Queen Creek/San Tan Valley community and I feel he rather abruptly abandoned his established patients who had their trust in him when he, for reasons I never was given an adequate explanation for, up and moved to Northern Arizona. He didn't have a partner working with him to take over his patients so an entirely new provider is now in this building. But to clarify, I still have to give him very high marks on his knowledge of medical issues and medications and his willingness to bucking the desire of the insurance companies by deciding to order expensive testing himself instead of sending you off to a specialist and letting the insurance company exhaust you in the process of seeking answers. For example, after I was finally sick and tired of the back pain that was keeping me in bed, I asked him for an MRI and expected pushback. But he listened to me and he could tell I was being sincere, and he went ahead and ordered not one, but 3 MRIs that day for me. Cervical, thoracic and lumbar all together! Well, wouldn't you know, I got a call from Jensen 3 days later with some news that should've upset me, if I wasn't "overjoyed" to hear my terrible diagnosis. But I was relieved to be sure. For 15 years I had been doubted by family members as to whether my pain was legitimate and some thought I was looking for pain medication or something, and I was also pushed off by medical tightwad doctors who were merely insurance company gatekeepers turning any costly test away from me no matter my complaints. But it was only after meeting Dr. Jensen that the MRIs were ordered and it was found to be positive for a rare condition called syringomyelia, an unfortunately incurable and debilitating degenerative spinal cord disorder. Although the outlook is grim, I'm able to care for my body a lot more knowing what's wrong with me. I credit Dr. Jensen with diagnosing that for me and giving me answers. What I don't do is celebrate him leaving Queen Creek. Not at all. I think it could've been thought out better. I guess a better life opened up to him up North, but something around 500 patients were left without their doctor of many years and with no clue where to go or who to trust next. So yes I loved Dr. Jensen, but no, I did not love his last decision. Not for what it has done to our small community and not for what it has done in my attempts to find his replacement. Which after 18 months or so I've yet to even do.

He will respond to all texts, which you will never get from another MD with this level of education. A+++

I review everything. Including... walk-in doctor's offices. So, I'm a One Medical user, and I've used it for about six months. This is my home location, and I'm definitely a fan. One of the main things I like about it is how you can get labs done by just walking in anytime. You don't need an appointment. You just walk in and wait. If there's a line, they can give you a time to come back. Or, if there's no line, you can just sit in the waiting room. It's very nice to have a lab on site, and you don't have to deal with the whole Sonora Quest adventure that a lot of us Arizonans deal with. I've seen two nurse practitioners there. Both of them were helpful. And not only did they show good bedside manner--if I'm able to use that term, despite not actually being in a hospital bed--but they also were quick to respond to my messages on the app. The service here is painless. No pun intended. It's easy to make an appointment. Their app is very well-designed. And this location is clean and friendly. I would recommend One Medical if you're looking for a simple primary care experience.

But whoever is handling the billing lately is so rude, am not sure what happened. Maybe they outsourced it? I've never had an issue until recently. I called to clarify a charge that didn't seem like it was coded correctly. The person I spoke to on the phone was obviously busy with so many other things in the background and seemed annoyed and said she'd pass along my concern. I asked in the app and the person who replied was extremely rude as well, when I was just looking for clarification. Apparently a Saturday appointment triggers an extra $87 charge as "after hours" even though that was never disclosed and it shows on the website that they are opening alternate Saturdays (again with no mention of it being an extra fee or extra hours.) It wasn't an emergency and we didn't need to go on a Saturday. I just think that it should be disclosed somewhere that an extra fee will be incurred. My first inquiry in the app received a very patronizing "non-answer" to my question. The AI in the app is great but it doesn't handle billing. AI isn't always helpful but at least it's not rude or insulting. After the back and forth, I logged in to pay the balance that I should not have owed, but I chalked it up to a lesson learned. It showed zero balance. That was a few weeks ago, and today I got a bill in the mail showing the outstanding balance again. The providers and the quality of care are amazing. I just felt insulted the way I was treated by the billing people, and that's left a bad taste in my mouth. I would definitely recommend One Medical but be warned that billing might be a hassle now that I guess it's being handled by new people.
