On my initial meeting, he impressed me for not always recommending medicine, but often invoking better lifestyle. After a heart attack, they refer you to your PCP for followup care (there is still the cardiologist and others involved). I've been seeing Logan Belnap, a staff member in tthe practice. I've now seen Logan Belnap more times than I've seen Dr Ward, and I'm also duly impressed. On first meeting, he'd obviously read the documents on my incident very thoroughly, and asked me to fill in the blanks. He took over fulfillment of the non-cardio prescriptions, gave me a path on how to improve at this point, and did quite a few followup visits to insure I was "doing the right thing". Overall, I'm very pleased that I moved to this practice and plan to stay for the foreseeable future.

(-greatest of all time), with the way she handled my delivery. I walked in, stating, "I think I'm having a heart attack." They immediately took me in and after the obligatory blood pressure, iv, and such, four doctors came in. The cardiologist, Dr. Rhodehouse, stated I was having a heart attack, and the other three doctors started working with me, and then things got fuzzy. I was told I got an angiogram, but they were already prepping me for stent insertion. The angiogram results caused an ER professional to tell everyone to discontinue the prep, and told me my three blockages couldn't be handled by stents, I'd need a CABG (cabbage, I'm not a fan!) (coronary artery bypass graft - yep, open heart surgery). That required teamwork - I'd have to go to EIRMC - the hospital a couple of blocks away, which is tricky given I'm in the middle of an active heart attack. I think it's obvious that I truly admired everything happening (what I can remember of course) and everyone got an "A+" for their efforts.

I did have an injury to o it while lifting a suitcase a little while before I went to him. He found a small bone that had chipped off and was lodged into the joint space. It was hard for me to imagine (A) how he found that small bone and (B) how that smanhll piece of bone could cause that big of a problem. Regardless, he found it and fixed it for me and I haven't had any problems since. He is a very friendly and compassionate Doctor. The only problem I had was the first knee got a superficial infection when the nurse took out the staples at week 8. She had no gloves on and I suspect that's how it was transmitted. Always make sure they have gloves on, any nurse that will come in contact with a wound. Had to go to wound care for 6 weeks.
