VAUXHALL PARK Official London Ontario Park…read more54 Price Street HAPPY FUN TIMES RATING: 2.5 SNORTS *Parking, 5 minor baseball diamonds, 1 play structure, 1 swing set, paved path, picnic shelter, washrooms, accessible. This park was getting a whole new rollycar road when we checked it out so all the burly constructionhatmen and noisy ta rmaking machines made it sooperstinky! Butt that is not why I gave it 2.5 snorts though guys. There's just not so many trees and most of this whole entire park is for baseballery and other sporty bits! Not so awesome for doggies, but it is pretty close to MisterRiver plus it has some of those crazy frisbee golf thingees from the next park over (St. Julien Park), so that's pretty cool and stuff too! The end.

From giant jumping pads to many playgrounds all leading up to this one with the towers. There is also a splash pad and some rides suitable for smaller children. The story book theme runs throughout the park. Our favorite had to be the bike track (some tandem bikes available). Area for imaginitive play was also very cute - a mini village! How cool! It had every detail from street signs to banks, doctors offices and fast food stores all of which you and your kids could walk right into. Admission as well as food for purchase on site were surprisingly reasonably priced (example: a bag of popcorn was only $2!).

Not much to do. We did come in the fall so I'd be curious to see what it's like during the prime spring/summer season but overall, pretty disappointing.

BUTLER PARK Official London, Ontario Park…read more713 Butler Avenue HAPPY FUN TIMES RATING: 3 SNORTS * Open green space, woodlot I liked this little park 'cuz it was hiding away from rollycars and traffic and stuff plus even though it was just teensy and stuff, it had a soopercool shape plus a nice chunk of forest-y stuff right through its middle! I had a nap there under the clouds on a warm fall day and it put Happy in my Heart! You should try it! The end.

I like parks that are downtown and from what I saw, I like the locals like it here to spend a sunny…read morelunch hour. It's vast with lots of green grass, some trees, statues, but it lacks seating. Most of the benches and picnic tables were occupied and with the number of people walking around and some holding food, I think they could have more seating. I like how easy it was to find the park and just enjoy a walk and rest on the bench, as there were some that provided shade too. It's nice to walk through a park inside of the car filled streets. There were no events during the time we were there, but I could see myself visiting often if I Iived in London.

THIS REVIEW IS FOR THIS FACILITY AS A BOOKED VENUE First off…read more-- this is not about the golf course, but a review of this facility for hosting a wedding. Folks - if you are looking for a venue -- look no further. These folks do a great job for venue catering. They have a wonderful room in the back that overlooks the 18th hole - and holds about 80-100 people quite easily. They had the ceremony on a section of the property away from the main clubhouse (it was private and very pretty). I must say it was a bit difficult to hear since there is a lot of road noise due to lots more construction along Sunningdale, but still very nice. The clubhouse? Wonderful room we had the cocktail reception in! Huge fireplace with nice comfortable wing back chairs and comfy sofas with still lots of room to mingle. The staff came around with all kinds of appetizers (lamb chops, oyster, shrimp skewers, and mini beef wellington. They were all wonderful and went down wonderfully with champagne! The meal included a wonderful salad with citrus segments, and then a choice of chicken stuffed with veg and goat cheese or a filet mignon in a wonderful sauce. The dessert plate had a mini-trio of creme brulee, brownie and strawberry cheesecake on it. The staff checked in on us regularly and did fireworks for the bride and groom later in the night. What a great evening! So - if you want a memorable wedding day -- look no further than Sunningdale Golf and Country club!
