This excellent library is part of the reason we moved to Clark fork 10 years ago. Yet the library is always cozy, welcoming, and sufficient. All they need now is a replacement for Pete the Library Cat (RIP). I've found that if I purchase books, I generally don't finish them; but if they come with a due date, I have an incentive to read and explore. In the past year, this library has probably purchased a dozen new books for me. I read the Bookshelf review column in the Wall Street Journal, get excited about some new title (this happens frequently with me), and go to the library website to put it on hold. Sometimes they have it, in which case they ship it to me at the Clark Fork branch. If they don't have it, they'll find it on Inter-library loan; in the recent past this includes 50-lb. art tomes and a book out of print since the 1950s. If they think it'll interest their clientele, they'll buy it. Any way it comes, I receive an email notification and can descend from my snug aerie on the mountainside, snatch my shiny new prize from the friendly library ladies, and flee back home to my cozy chair by the fire to crack it open. No, it's not a big-city library; I don't expect that. It's a gem in this small mountain town, an asset to the folk who live here, and my second-favorite building in Clark Fork.

The views outside the windows are spectacular and there's a lot for the kids! My son loved the Yoto stations and my daughter loved the play house. They both enjoyed the puzzle table too. They aren't old enough for computers yet, but there were plenty in there that kids were utilizing well. The bathroom was easily accessible and clean too.

Great library!…read more There is a children's library downstairs, and the adult library is upstairs. They have a good selection of books, they also use interlibrary loan so they can get other books that they don't have in-house delivered. They have a good selection of films, they even have video games which I haven't seen a lot of libraries that have that. They have a library of things, which means they have some small devices and appliances that you can check out and use. The librarians are really helpful and friendly. For the kids library downstairs they have a lot of really great events and toys and computers that the kids can use. It's also located right next to a park, so you can make a day of it, you can come and check out the library, then do a picnic, then play on the playground. So why four stars instead of five? Well, the public parking lot for the library has a time limit! And so if you spend too long here you will get a ticket. Other than that this library is pretty sweet.

They have a big selection of kids books, romance, mystery, and general fiction. I didn't head over to the other side of the store with all the non-fiction biographies history and other types. The store is set up very nice neat and clean. We ended up getting a bunch of kids books and because we joined their trade in program each hardback was two dollars and every softback book was a dollar. Definitely gonna be coming to this bookstore a lot.

I typically would always buy new books but heard about a sale here and checked it out earlier this year...one dollar for four kids' books; we came home with eight total. Many of the books we purchased were similar to ones on her Amazon wish list for a minimum of five dollars apiece and we got them for $.25 each -- wow!! Today we brought three books to trade in (easy process) which resulted in a trade of three children's books, including one that is on Amazon for $10 (see pictured) and is in excellent condition. We left with two Pinkalicious books as well, which are popular and around $5-10 new each online too. I love supporting local and a great deal. Thanks, Alex and Megan! (Great customer service!)
