Hughes and Hughes

Hughes and Hughes in Dublin airport affords the modern commuter a welcomed opportunity to purchase…read morereading material and a wide range of snacks before boarding a potentially lengthy flight. Hughes and Hughes look to douse any possibility of the passengers suffering from any sense of tediousness on their impending flight. This is too what I would call an 'earnest' outlet. What I mean by this is that the books they sell are not necessarily straight from either the best sellers list nor are they the customary feminist tripe from the likes of Cecilia Ahern et al looking to adhere to the conventional housewife, but instead an interesting and eclectic range of literature. Everything from Business and Management, Archaeology, Encyclopedias and yes, granted General Fiction but Booker Prize Winners like A. Adiga's 'White Tiger' and not boring claptrap like Danielle Steele. It is this miscellaneous range on offer that really enlivened my senses as a punter and made my plane journey as a passenger much more enjoyable thanks to the attention-grabbing literature I had managed to pick up. The duration of the flight just ran away with itself as a result of being so captivated by the literature I had bought. Purchasing literature becomes an even more pleasurable experience within this outlet if you purchase from the '3 for 2' table and get one on the house! Predictably and to be fair, appropriately so, the shop, like I say in no way 'true to form' in a judgmental way but instead aptly sells a broad selection of travel books to assist the passenger(s) in expanding their knowledge about their imminent destinations. I myself have picked up a Lonely Planet here when on my way to Amsterdam and was very appreciative of the supplementary information and helpful advice it gave me, all to the overall benefit of my trip. With an ample range of confectionary, savoury snacks, soft drinks and magazines by the cashier's till Hughes and Hughes really do proffer almost everything you could possibly need for your journey to keep your brain stimulated and occupied and your cravings satisfied.
