How is Easirent even an 2-star? Read all the bad reviews here! Credit Card Nightmare Is Still Going On - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY I rented a car for two days with "Easirent" which has been so UNeasy. The rental was 4/19-4/22/18 and was supposed to cost just $118.73 booked through Orbitz, taxes and all fees included. I am now in the hole $361!!!! We arrived at Heathrow and looked for the "transport shuttle" that allegedly took us to Easirent. This does not exist. We found the red local bus and took that instead. After a confusing bus ride on the Heathrow bus, we took an Uber to this back lot, suspicious looking "office". There we found people angry and waiting and waiting. Took us about 45 minutes to go through the paperwork. All looked standard. I waived insurance since I have Progressive. I told them I wanted no other fees or coverage. I signed and initialed. Took about 90 minutes said and done. Many people were waiting for there cars and there seemed to be no supervisor, just a bunch of apathetic employees. Returned that car two days later. Stopped at the gas station nearby and filled the tank with $50 worth. Full tank. Returned the car and was able to drop my wife off at the hotel then walk back to a 1/2 mile since we flew out the next morning. Here's where the nightmare starts. On 4/21 I see an Easirent charge for $135 on my card. Same day, another charge for $218 then another for the same amount!!! I file a dispute with my credit card company and can't believe it (Although the whole operation was very shady) They immediately credit me and an investigation ensues. Suddenly on July 5th, I see my credit balance just went up about $343! I call and tell them a mistake and they say that the merchant provided them with paperwork that I signed. HERE'S WHERE TO BEWARE. I had a receipt I did indeed sign for $153. I was in hurry and must've ignored that $118.73 rate. Sure, maybe there are some extra fees I forgot. However, when I rented the car I initialed signed some for some fees I told the rep I did not want. He seemed sketchy too and went ahead and charged me. I am now in month #3 of trying to convince Barclay American Airlines that Easirent is a FRAUD. Fortunately, I kept documentation for my fuel fill up and did many of the charges on my credit card so I stand a chance to get my money back. I called Orbitz and they directed me to an Easirent domestic number. I spoke with a rep named Wisner and he told me he only saw one charge of $153 on my card. WHAT A BUNCH OF SCAMMERS!! Online rates really low?? My initial online estimate of $120 turned into $400 because I HAD to buy their insurance, my original car was not available and I HAD to go with their fuel options. I mean - come on!! When I returned to exchange the vehicle I was given a bill for £170 for an alleged scratch to the alloy. The guy "ADNAN" said i need to pay that before my car could be exchanged. I have read other reviews of similar complaints so it looks like it's a planned scam. PLEASE, check your car thoroughly for scratches before you sign for it. I have a feeling their valet boys who bring the cars around are participants in this con. They don't check or wash the cars properly so scratches are difficult to see when you take the car! The valet was very quick to point this particular scratch out - it almost felt staged. These guys are con artists who have no clue. NEVER EVER EVER book with Easirent! What a bunch of scammers! I booked a car and paid online. Called to say I was running 10 mins late for collection the next day and was casually told 'there's no vehicle' ... 'call customer services maybe they will send you to the airport' ... (in what exactly? A flying effing saucer?!) I pushed and pushed and eventually they agreed to get the car for me but without so much as an apology! 2 hours late I collected the car, making me late for collecting my mum from the hospital - the whole reason I had hired the car in the first place! Was made to pay an additional £84 at collection because in my haste I'd forgotten the pin for my credit card (because I was running around stressed after the car wasn't available!) They gave me the car with no petrol and after I questioned this was told 'don't worry it's like for like, bring it back empty' ... only to get home and realize they've charged me £95 fuel deposit. For what, exactly?!!!! The air in the empty tank??? I'd also even charged £324 and when I called to find out what that was made up of, no one had a clue!!! Returned the car 4 days later... Received refund of £95. After a letter to head office, a phone call to the branch, several emails and phone calls to customer services... I STILL don't have a refund for the £240. Warning to those who prepurchase rental coverage through Expedia or their AMEX already covers rental, they will not honor it. The place is in the middle of nowhere, it looks sketchy, and they will not honor the rental coverage you purchase or already have. They want to force you to buy there own at an astronomical daily price PLUS will require a deposit on top of that or if you decide to stick with what you have, they will put a huge hold on your credit card. They are complete crooks and terribly rude. If you are flying into London Heathrow, you are better off renting with Avis or Enterprise, as they have an agent inside the airport. The absolute worst experience I've ever had with a rental car company. We booked our car at Easirent 3 weeks in advance through holidayautos.com, paid in full through the website and even purchased the extra insurance. Upon arrival to pick up our car, there were approximately 20 people standing outside the building. When we checked in for our car, the employee told us the insurance we purchased WITH our reservation was no good and we had to buy their special insurance for 150GBP. Being from America and not knowing if our personal insurance would cover us in a foreign country, we purchased the new insurance and were told to give our confirmation paperwork to the lady at the desk by the front door and she'll get us our car. The lady was extremely rude and informed us there would be a wait for a car. When we asked how long the wait was she sighed with an annoyed look on her face and said "I don't know, maybe 30-60 minutes or something, I have no idea..." We then realized that the 20 people standing outside were also waiting for cars and that the company was literally waiting for people to return their rentals to then turn them around and hand them to the next customer. After 45 minutes, not a single car had been returned and there was still a large crowd of people standing around waiting. I didn't have all day to sit around waiting for a car. I asked the lady again when she expected these cars to be returned and I got the same rude answer as before. At this point I was pissed so I called Europcar (highly recommend) down the street and they reserved me a car immediately. We went back to the rental desk to cancel our reservation and before I could even open my mouth to tell them what was wrong the guy grabbed the paperwork from us, said he'd get us a car, and disappeared into a back room. 10 minutes later he reappeared and magically had a car for us. What about all these other people standing around that had been there longer than us?! Where were their magical cars?! We told them we no longer wanted to rent from them and to cancel our reservation and refund our money. They said they couldn't issue the refund because we paid through Holiday Autos and that we would have to submit a claim through them but that they could refund us the 150GBP we paid for the extra insurance and gave us a confirmation receipt showing the "refund". It has been over 3 weeks and that "refund" still hasn't gone through. We had to submit a charge dispute to our bank to get the charges refunded and we still don't have our money back for the original reservation from HolidayAutos despite multiple calls and emails. I'm a savvy traveler. Literally millions of miles and hundreds of car rentals. Didn't think they'd outfox me, so I bit the bullet. Their price was so cheap. I was fore-warned and fore-armed. But when the bus driver himself warned me about them...it was too late. a) Fake damage claim upon car return...for $100's about which Easirent basically said "your credit card CDW will pay anyway...just sign it or miss your flight" b) A month later random credit card charges...with no explanation. I am at a loss when reading the bad reviews. I had a wonderful experience dealing with this company. I read their website so I knew how to get there. In fact, I chose not to wait for the bus but just popped into a taxi at Terminal 2 and he drove me there in a few minutes. Two people waiting ahead of me at the collection area but they kept me involved in the conversation so no problem there. Well done ASAD! Fantastic customer service. A brand new Aygo was waiting for me. They set me up and I was on my way. Returned the car one week later. Patrick went above and beyond and even took me to the Sheraton where I was staying. I have rented from Easement Heathrow Airport a few times and had good cars and good service. But... Following a rental they will send you link to review, and for doing so they will provide you with a promotional offer - like £5 off your next rental or free extra diver etc. I had a long term rental so the extra driver offer was very attractive and would have saved me over £270. I got to the desk outside normal hours and the lone guy there was unable to deal with this offer - after making several phone calls etc. Having just come off a long-haul flight, spending 40 mins at a rental desk was the last thing that I wanted! Eventually I was asked to pay for the extra driver and ring customer services during office hours to claim a refund. I rang and the customer services and the rep. said that to get the refund I would need to send them a copy of the offer e-mail, survey and survey confirmation (even though I presented all of this at the rental desk). I did what was asked, however over 4 months later and 6 e-mails and 2 calls still no refund. To renege on an offer is dishonesty in my book, however, it is the scant regard to customer service after the event that this company exhibits that has really rilled me. Should've read the reviews. Honestly feeling super scammed. We got the rental car in the morning, only used it 12 hours, brought it back 12 hours early BECAUSE we were told the last shuttle back to the tube station at Heathrow was at 12:15am. We figured we'd return it at night and get at home from the shuttle and tube. They told us that sometimes it comes a few minutes early so we got here just before midnight to make sure the car was checked in. AFTER the attendant checks our car in he asks "how are you getting back?". We tell him the shuttle, to which he replies "no, the last shuttle left at 11:45". I had two friends with me who were also clear on the instructions we were given earlier that morning. I told him "ok then I'll check the car in in the morning as we have it until then." He tells me "no you don't. I just checked it in." He didn't try to help us in the least bit. Both him and his colleague insinuated the situation was our fault. I know it wasn't necessarily theirs, as they weren't ones who were there when we picked up the car, but how about don't blame your customer and apologize on behalf of the company who misinformed us. We had to call for an Uber that cost the same price as our rental car, DOUBLING THE RATE WE PAID, in order to get home. They showed very little sympathy and help to us. read more

We also had the absolute worst experience with Easirent Stanstead. We had to wait over an hour for the shuttle, they gave us a car that smelled like smoke, even though I have allergies and my friend asthma, and we asked them about switching cars, they said they couldn't smell it. It was awful. Then don't get me started on the hidden fees. The required third party insurance for 35.00 pounds, the 95 pound deposit for gas (which is a riot because they are right next to a gas station and it cost us 30.00 pounds to fill the car on an empty tank) and the 1200.00 pound deposit in case you get into an accident. Then returning the car was a nightmare. I had to call back 3 different times to get someone to give me an answer on how to drop the car off early (even though they said they'd call me back), since our flight left earlier than planned. You'd think they'd have a system set up by now. I finally got an answer, and where they told me to leave the car, there wasn't any place to park it, so we had to park it illegally. Then the shuttle they told us to take wasn't free as advertised and was cash only, which we didn't have because they advertise a free shuttle. But they neglected to mention that the shuttle from Holiday Inn Express cost 3 pounds each cash. Then it took me 25 minutes of calling to get a hold of anyone after they opened to let them know the car was parked illegally. Then when I thought I was done with them for good, I get a charge on my credit card from them. It took me a lot of effort to find out that apparently in England, there are tolls, but you have to go to a website and pay online. I had no idea about this, and neither me or my two friends saw this, so we missed paying the toll. Easirent charges a 55.00 pound "administration fee" for missing a toll, which you have to pay on top of the toll itself. It took me days to figure this out and why. It turns out that they sent the notice to the wrong email address and when I asked them to refund me since they made the mistake and I have had to waste so much time tracking it down, they just ignored me. I've rented 100s of vehicles in dozens of countries. This company is the worst. My "guaranteed" "special" daily rate of US$6 became GPB34.95 (approx US$50) at the pickup desk. My online-purchased insurance made during the original booking was not honored so i had to purchase insurance twice for the same period and same coverage. The rental car return location address was not on ANY of the documents given to me when I picked up the vehicle. When I came time to return the vehicle, I drove to LHR's Terminal 2 from where it took me 2 hours and 40 mins to find the location for returns - a distance of little more than one mile. Clearly, this omission of information vital to all customers is designed to ensure that vehicles are returned late (without regard to the risk of customers' missing their flights) so that the company can then charge for an additional day's rental as late penalty. I got a car from them from Stansted, not realising it's not at the car rental village- and had to call lots of times, and wait in the cold, to be picked up. I had requested the Fiat 500 in the photo when I booked, and although I know its just to show the group it turns out they dont have any - at all. When I book with budget etc they usually get my the car I asked for. Just didnt like the fact that they show it (as the most popular) but dont have it. The chap was really nice- but I didnt understand it. I have a yearly package that covers excess (I would pay, then claim back) and so they actually took 1200 GB pounds from my credit card. Most just block the amount. I realised after returning the car that they had actually taken it twice (over AU$5k) and tried to email - no reply. After 10 days it looks like 1 charge has been refunded, but my card shows over $2k still on my card. I am getting no replies to emails, they told me on their facebook page to submit a message in customer service. I rent cars all the time. I didnt feel comfortable that they took my money - and before returning it actually got it cleaned as I thought they might try to charge the huge amount on their documents about costs. Ive never done that before. It just didnt feel right. The actual man who served me was lovely. My issue is with the company. And now Im waiting for my deposit to be returned- why would it take over 10 days to refund ?? I have been a customer of Easirent Heathrow for a couple of years. Over the last few months when I have collected cars here i have experienced incredibly long wait times - for example this evening nearly two hours. This is a severe decline in service since they moved location and installed computerised check-ins so to reduce staff. Previously this company would have several employees at all times to carry out the check in/collection/paperwork process. Now it's a disgrace , shame on the management who clearly couldn't give a damn. When I recently went there were three employees in attendance. With the large number of people coming in and out, also when the airport shuttle bus arrives and especially at busy times the result is a huge backlog of people waiting in the waiting room and outside. All it takes is one holdup along the process and it's just short of chaos with people obviously getting vexed and agitated. One of the check-in machines has had its glass smashed - no wonder why.... Not a happy customer any more. I'd rather go to another local rival! I would recommend paying a little more and save yourself this hassle and go elsewhere. read more

Easirent my cc 3 times causing it to go into fraud dept thus I couldn't use that card. When I returned the car it had bird poo on it and they said they were going to charge me. They finally said they were joking only when i got very upset with them. If I hadn't they would have charged me. They them charged an extra $20 dollars for gas even though I had filled it up 18 miles prior. I had to wait over 1 hr for transport back to the airport I could not wait so I paid for a taxi this is a first fir an airport rental and it will be the last. Using Easirent was the worst decision we made on our Scotland trip. Upon reserving the car, we opted for the FULL COVERAGE insurance that included tire damage. We were thankful that we paid for this insurance when we ran into some sharp rocks on the side of a winding road on our way to Glasgow. The tire shop we were sent to told us that they were able to fix the tires and the wheel, but Easirent decided they wanted send the car to Aberdeen to get fixed.They seized the car from us and told us we could no longer have the car because the accident was "driver negligence". It was NOT negligence... it was an accident. And we paid to have coverage for ALL accidents. How can you claim to provide your customers with FULL COVERAGE insurance, and then when something happens say that it was "driver negligence" so you have to no longer provide your PAYING CUSTOMER with your services? We were left stranded in a small town somewhere in Northern Scotland with no idea how to get to where we needed to go. How can a rental car company strand two young ladies in the middle of a foreign country? The worst part of all of it was that they ended up charging me the extra cost to fill up the gas tank. It ended up costing me almost $200 for fuel through Easirent. How did they expect me to fill up the tank when they took the car away from us unwillingly? When I FINALLY got a hold of customer service (after almost 3 weeks of waiting for a response), they told me that they cannot reimburse me for that charge. We had to spend at least $200 on extra train tickets and transportation after they left us stranded.. and now they won't even reimburse me for the fuel costs? It's unacceptable. read more

CDW is covered by our insurance but they were insistent on having a letter, I have been renting cars for over 20 years in different countries and never came across this letter request before. So if you think you are getting a low price you are not. DO NOT USE this company and their deceitful practices. I was at Easirent at the same time as another of the reviewers (Rosie A) and would like to reiterate just how awful the customer service is. We picked up the car slightly later than our estimated pick-up time due to the fact that we had to wait (and pay) for a bus from Heathrow to get to the office. When we arrived our booking reference had "expired". You would think that a hire car company this close to Heathrow would allow some time for delayed flights and the like, however the guy initally tried to charge us another whole booking fee and new rates for the car before we pursuaded him to find our original booking on their system. Then the additional charges started - £30 for bringing the car back at 7pm even though we had paid for the the full days rental and the office is open until 10pm, another £30 for half a tank of petrol which we later found out was actually worth about £15-20. When we questioned the charges we were met with shrugged shoulders. The customer service guy took and made numerous phone calls about separate topics while we were still waiting. There seemed to be no system with dealing with the many unhappy customers waiting in the office and only one of the three members of staff behind the desk seemed to be acknowledging the customers - the other two were mainly chatting and laughing. The most frustrating this about this situation is that we booked through a separate website (http://rentalcars.com) where you do no find out who your provider is until you have completed the booking. Not only is this kind of a backwards system, it means that it is difficult to avoid providers like this that have with such terrible reviews. The weekend just passed, I hired a car from rentalcars.com. When you book, you don't know who your provider is going to be, but we were allocated Easirent for our cheap weekend rental to drive to Wales. We were due to pick up from Heathrow Airport. Firstly, if you're allocated a car from Easirent, you'll need to take a public bus from Heathrow 15 minutes out of town. No service bus like the big providers would have. Allow extra time and prepare your route beforehand. On arrival, we were left waiting for ages while they dealt with four or five other dissatisfied customers. One poor guy had been left waiting so long for his "free lift back to the airport" he nearly missed his flight. Another had just returned from Afghanistan and had been waiting for his car for over an hour. We waited patiently, and eventually got seen. Our customer service guy took four or five phone calls during our set up- not phone calls with other clients- but with colleagues about who was workig tomorrow (surely this could have waited?!) We were in the office for 45 minutes before we managed to leave with our car. We were also charged numerous additional charges- firstly £30 pounds to drop our car back 3 hours later than usual (despite the fact that we had paid in full for 3 days rental, and the time returning would have been within the allocated time). Secondly, I got stung for £10 to call the DVLA to check my license. Thirdly, we were also charged up front for £30 of petrol (half full tank). When we re-filled the tank from empty later that weekend, a WHOLE tank was £30! I don't appreciate being ripped off, Easirent. Our car also didn't have an aerial, that's no fun when you're driving for 5 hours straight twice over a weekend. When we returned the vehicle, I complained about the pointers above. I demanded a refund, at least on our petrol costs. They did NOTHING, preferring just to chuckle and laugh in whispers behind the desk. They wouldn't even give me an address to write to HQ, just giving me a FAQ email alias. The customer service here is diabolical. We ended up spending more money and more time than we would have done if we'd hired from central london at avis, sixt or europcar. I booked this vehicle rental through an Agrigator, having no idea about the rental establishments in England, I trusted the "referer", Well trouble began once we landed, they have no "presence" at Heathrow,you have to call for service.... tell them you have "arrived and need a ride to thier shop (no regular bus) After a horendous overseas flight (delayed departure/rough ride/ long taxi ride on the tarmack followed up by a HUGE customs wait) we phoned "easirent" to say we arrived and where do we get our car? "Well sir, your reservation was a 15 minute window, two hours ago... so we gave it away, and are still happy to bill you the WHOLE rental!" Well after an hour of negotiation and an exstensive trip off the airport (a small shack at the back of terminal 4) we got a car, less car than we booked for more money than we signed up for... and because they are a "new" establishment we had to leave a $750# security deposit against any possible damage (if something happens they bill me and I deal with insurance) We drove off in our car worried about the "False economy" of savings and then we noticed the car had less than 1/4 tank of gas! This place had used car salesmen scaring and misleading people about insurance coverage. Not only that, they have a shady policy when it comes to disputing toll charges. I should've paid a bit more and used a reputable car company instead of renting through carrentals.com which ended up being easirent. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY! A short bus ride from Heathrow if you can find the right bus! The wait to get seen was horrible and there was only 1 person in front of me. By the time I left the queue was out the door and down the hall way of the hotel. People were complaining and the process was so slow. The clerk was reasonable at first, and when I did not take a ridiculous insurance package he turned completely rude. Look at the other reviews here - I had insurance through Expedia and my own insurance, but that was not good enough. Since the rental place is off Heathrow, and I needed the car - the options about telling them to shove it were slim. Kind of trapped and it cost me a hundred pounds more than the price on Expedia to get out of there. RIP off - but they surely have to know that I will never use them again. Do these monkeys on the desk get a bonus if the sell shit like this? When I eventually got the car - that was fine, and so was returning it. Probably the worst customer service I have ever received. There was a guy called Asad who is at this centre and sells you £30 of fuel which gave me less than half a tank, and when I fueled £30 myself 2 days later it was practically a full tank. My recommendation is if you can avoid EASIRENT I would avoid it. Use the bigger providers they are much more professional and honest about what they give you. Not impressed with easirent. Others have posted pretty bad reviews on Easirent but my experience was actually pretty good. First I dealt with Paul over the website chat and on the phone. He was really helpful and have me a lot of options that suited me. He was patient and I felt confident in the service. When picking up the car Patrick knew what he was doing and explained the terms clearly. We ended up with a Toyota Aygo which was very new, clean and good to drive. Great functions all for an extremely low price. We had a free drop off back to the tube station too which was an added bonus. The only negative thing was that getting to Easirent to pick the vehicle up was a hassle. You do get a free ride on the bus service from Heathrow, but this only comes every half hour and then has to stop at every other hotel on the route before u get to the Shereton. A dedicated shuttle service would have made me give a 5* review. Either way I would use Easirent again. Just would make sure to give more allowance to pick up time because of the infrequent bus. read more

Although it wasn't located directly in the airport, it was relatively easy to get to on the National Express bus and the driver also didn't charge me a fare when I mentioned I was going to Easirent. The guys behind the desk were really helpful, chatty and friendly. I had signed up for a Ford Focus or similar and was a little disappointed to be told I would be getting a Nissan Note (my grandparents drive one!). All credit to the guys, they went out of their way to provide me with a different car, and in the end I received an MG 6, which I was thrilled with. I thought the service was great and whenever I had any questions they were able to answer. I dealt with Ted, the manager, who was really helpful. I dropped the car off at another location (Gatwick airport) and found the guys here to be just as friendly and helpful. All in all, a good experience. read more

Update: After *much* back-and-forth correspondence, I have received a full refund of the erroneous charges (minus a couple of dollars for the time difference in the exchange rate). This had to be escalated to the Regional manager in order for me to get a refund; he informed me that the local manager no longer worked for the company. Having received the refund, I will retract the "thieves and scoundrels" comment but I would still highly recommend you look elsewhere for your rental business. read more

Easirent Car was not easy at all. We had the rudest girl on the service desk, very miserable and unhelpful. Rude when we didn't accept any extra add ons. Didn't offer any advice when declining every single proof of address we had to offer. Blamed us for there system failing and not accepting any of our creditcards. Said we had bank issues. Hands down worst experience with any of the car rentals we have used. Walked away with no car, missed my family wedding. (Family from NZ were over) This girl needs to learn how to smile, be polite and do her job better. I would recommend everyone to use Greenmotion, they provide excellent service! read more

Stay away from this sham company at all costs. I, like many others, was victim to their "alloy scam": On drop-off, they magically(!) found a tiny (~1inch) scratch on the alloy, which I'm sure was there on pick-up, but I had no proof so had to pay the extra $175!! More minor reasons to stay away include the fact that the Gatwick and Heathrow Airport locations aren't anywhere near the airport; it costs £15 by taxi and their free shuttle is only every 45mins! Plus, the customer service is horrible and extremely slow. They also charged an extra $10 to check for points on driver's licence. read more

I really wish I could give it ZERO stars they were that awful! Our flight was delayed from the USA and we got there later than we should have. When we took the shuttle to the place we did have to show that we didn't have to pay for it so be careful!! When I got to the hotel to get the car, it was late BUT the doors were unlocked and three guys were behind the counter, two playing games on the computer. I told them we had just gotten in and I was very excited to start my vacation. I was told the car was cancelled BY THEM since I didn't show up within 3 hours of reservation time AND the office was CLOSED so there was NOTHING they would do. First, there was no time frame that I gave as far as WHEN I would pick up the car, I just said the day itself. I arrived on the same day just a few hours late. Secondly, they said they were closed BUT the doors were open, the guys were behind the counter and the computers were up and running. They just CHOSE to be rude and disrespectful. They left me late at night crying in the hotel lobby with no car to get to my hotel and no way to get anywhere else until I called a taxi for myself. They walked right by me in the lobby and didn't bat an eye. To top it all off, they never refunded me the money!! I had to place a credit card dispute with VISA and the parent company shows that I actually used the rental. I eneded up having to rent through Avis from my hotel when I finally got there which was more expensive but well worth it! Save your money and the headaches...DO NOT USE THEM!! read more

Avoid this company! Please read carefully the review below: We chose it because it was really cheap. Cheaper than Hertz (that we're used to take) for these dates. But on the counter, the guy told me he couldn't take my credit card because for him it was a debit card. I'm sure I have a French credit card. But only because it was written "debit" on it , he couldn't do anything. The only way was to pay the full insurance £90 for 3 days !!. Even with Hertz it's not that expensive. My friend who has a credit card couldn't use it because she wasn't the main driver and the guy on the counter couldn't change this data? Since when ?! So we had to call AutoEurope (with whom we booked the Easirent car), to ask them to change the name, but the pick-up hour was passed, so they couldn't do anything except cancelling the booking and make another booking... that means loosing our first booking. Because of that, it took almost 1 hour to have a car. The queue on the counter became crazy. The worst is, other people on the counter had the exact same issue and like us, had no choice that pay the full insurance. (I still don't understand why taking the full-insurance allows them to take my card this time). So the final price was £240 for 3 days, and for that price I would have preferred thousand time to book a car with Hertz, that I really know well and who have a very good customer service, without hidden extra fees. And even free upgrade sometimes. Moreover, the car wasn't perfect. Handbrake didn't work properly. The brake was hard, and when you were braking hard, the car was quaking weirdly. And they also debited £95 (as a deposit to bring back the tank of fuel full). But it should have been a pending payment, not a debit. They also don't have their own shuttle, so you need to wait a bus (with an unpleasent driver who asks your voucher and seems not enjoyed the fact you don't pay) and who will first do all the hotels in Heathrow before to drop you off at Easirent. It took 30min to arrive to Easirent. Again, Hertz that is not far from Easirent have their own shuttle and it takes only 10 minutes from Heathrow. So we started our holidays upset and very late on our schedule ! Prefer the trustworthy companies like Hertz, Europcar, Avis, Budget, even if it's more expensive, so you will avoid this kind of bad experience. And for always having the best price, think to book as early as possible. Avoid Low cost companies. read more
