My friend bragged that this place had the best burgers in Melbourne and the challenge was on. Lodged atop a mid rise is this post art exhibit railroad car, climbing 4 flights of stairs you reach the dining area inside one of these cars. Wide variety of burgers and an even wider range of options for your potato. The burgers were very good (still need to try the other place my other friend claims is the best) but the tots covered in cheese and gravy were amazing as was the dim sims. Trendy place in Collingwood worth a visit.

I've been wanting to stop by this place on my last few visits to Melbourne, and I've finally had a chance to get here. The main reason for wanting to visit was dining in an old Melbourne train. Sadly, this was Sunday, and I was somewhat rudely informed when I arrived downstairs that I should have booked in advance. Anyway, attitude aside, the staff upstairs were substancially more friendly and personable. Service was quick, fast, and the food was marvellous. I can absolutely recommend their Changz Chicken Sanga, which was a simple and flavoursome burger, with a perfect chicken fillet with crispy skin to boot. The price was right, not too much inside the burger, and a bun that holds up all the way through the eating. And of course the ambience. Yes, the idea of eating inside or amongst a train carriage might not be everyones' idea of fun. But it's interesting, and makes for a nice change. Word of advice: If it's busy and they're going to seat you outside on the roof, give Easey's a miss on a hot day. There's no shade sales out there, and it can make it quite uncomfortable.

I'm an avid follower of Jimmy's Burgers on IG and knowing I was going to Melbourne with a bunch of guys, knew we had to stop by Easey's. We made a booking online for the train carriages and that was pretty seamless, so pro-tip: you should make a booking if you want to sit in them. The venue is cool...real cool, as is the service. Everyone here is chill and accommodating and they even have Coors Light on tap. Winning. Decor: 5/5 Service: 5/5 The menu is pretty straightforward and you can customize your burger however you want which is a bonus. I got the Double Easey Cheesy with a Potato Rosti which they said has never been done (muahaha) It went...OK. Burger is on the small side and the toppings were decent, but the meat was overcooked and bland. Was a bit disappointed after having high expectations. The mac and cheese was good as were the fries, but the chicken was poor. Definitely a cool place to hang out and munch, but burgers are better elsewhere.

It's been a long time coming for those of us that have been waiting for Easey's to open since the train carriages were spectacularly placed on the building roof some time ago. After a few false starts, and a pop-up, the doors are now very much open for business. No need to mind the gap. (Will save further train puns for other reviewers!) The Easey Cheesey burger is the focus of the simple menu, with a few additions to bulk it out. Take them, as we tried one normal and one with bacon and jalapeño and the latter was very superior. Those used to a bit of kick will want to add some of the chilli sauces too. Fries were nice but small serve only really suits a single person so get the large if sharing. The motto, as the name of the street and the place serendipitously suggests, is simplicity. And starting at $6 you can't begrudge if it is missing some of the bells and whistles other local burger places may offer, but at the end of the day it's kind of just a notch above any other cheeseburger if I'm being honest and ignoring the hype: more American diner than In-N-Out. The fit out though is terrific and cool - graffiti covered walls, train ticket tables, and of course the carriages themselves which are even more impressive when you take in the Collingwood and city views. Will be back for some beers soon to soak in more of the new cool kid on the block vibe, and it's definitely somewhere to take visitors to wow them, but I wouldn't go back just for the burgers alone (not when there's a Rockwell double smash right around the corner anyway...) Fit out and vibe = 5 stars Burgers = 3 stars Thus, settled on a 4.

Version 2 of the menu has the most demanded items from V1 - lettuce + tomato on the basic $8 Easey Cheesy, and a chicken burger

Unapologetic dirty burgers meets creative graffiti / hip hop / subculture vibe, it's no wonder the people keep flocking to Collingwood's newest rooftop restaurant. The hidden wonders inside Easeys keep the locals coming back - excellent coffee, genuine service, winning selection of brews and spirits and of course the masterpiece - a train on a rooftop! Fare raw food menu is creative and stark contrast to Easeys, offering organic plant based sweets, breakfast, lunch and smoothies. This way Easeys can stay true to what they're all about. Something for everyone! Make sure you book if it's the train you're after, but the place is huge so if you're more flexible then roll through any time for your fried food or raw food fix. Windows are tinted and it seems hard to find from street level but just remember it's the 3rd train (coming from Smith). And how are the burgers? Good quality meat, lots of sauce. Burgery

Love this cool burger place as the dining experience takes play within a train carriage which has graffitied lounge area and bar. The burgers are scrumptious with plenty of flavours, easeys burgers, mac n cheese is yummy, dim sims yummy and their chips you can't get enough . I've been many times and taken friends who have loved the experience. On the flip side donuts are average and service can range depending on days you go. Highly recommend this place, def book in advance to ensure you experience train carriage dinning.

Overall a very good burger. Menu was very inventive and a very cool restaurant. I recommend going here if you ever visit.

Prior to arriving in Melbourne, as a food addict, I did some research on places I must visit. So, a list was compiled and Easey's was on the top. Who would have thought that old train carriages on top of a building would be such a hit? We found the Ground floor bright and airy with modern trimmings. We were tempted to enjoy our hangover breakfast here, however, the call to be on the top floor with a view beckons. Into the lift we trooped. The entire space was simple; a tad kitchy with graffiti decorating the stairs and the trains. The staff was casually attired, with friendly demeanour. We ordered a burger each with a side of mac and cheese to share. Everything we ate filled our void for greasy food that warm the soul. All in all it really is such a cool little hangout with an awesome view of Collingwood and surrounds. Kids friendly. Prices was very reasonable. Will be back - gladly!

The look of the restaurant itself is so unique! There's different floors to this place. Graffiti throughout the place. 90s hip hop music bumping through the speakers. You can eat on the train on top of the building. Interesting burger menu. Put Mac and Cheese in my burger. Just in awe of this place with so much character. This is a must visit in Melbourne.

A place to try just for the expericence but in terms of tasty burgers, it wasn't that amazing. The setting is great and eating in a train carriage on a rooftop is something you definitely can't get elsewhere but the too easey burger felt like it was too heavy in bread. The menu items are your standard american style burgers with an aussie twist of dim sims and potato cakes. It definitely leaves you feeling super full if you get the lot!!

I have been eyeing this place ever since it opened…read more I had the opportunity just before the footy to see if it was a worthy place to become a regular at. It was quite full and loud, mostly because of the football being about 20 minutes walk from the venue, so the crowd had the same idea as I had to grab a bite to eat before the game. However, the crowd was well behaved and were generally well-dressed, the environment was friendly, comfy and inviting. The staff are attentive and service standards were reasonable. The table I sat on was communal, but you have enough space to call it your own. The table has knives, forks and napkins at your disposal. I ordered the Beef Burger and a side of chips. I wasn't expecting much, I just wanted the burger to be tasty and to my surprise, it was delicious. The interesting mix of beetroot relish, gruyere cheese and American mustard was a perfect combo. The presentation was pleasing and my first bite was nothing short of sedating. The chips were great as well. In terms of price, the burger was $12 and chips were $3.50, and I have had much worse at those prices and for what you get, it seems like they have got the price right. What I enjoyed most about the meal was that it satisfied. I was full, not the type of full where you feel lousy, but the 'feel good' type. If that makes sense, I'm sure yelpers would understand. You can even watch the burgers being prepared and you can see the effort and amount of care in how the burgers are cooked. It's a nice touch. I want to try everything on the menu, but the Beef Burger is so good, I'm not sure if I can deviate to other options. I will, but the choice is hard and that's a huge credit to this establishment. Overall, I had to give The Beer & Burger Bar high praise as it ticked every box I would have expected. When I enter a place and come out feeling satisfied that I spent money on a great experience and amazing taste, you will come back every time.
