We walked over and somehow landed excellent parking karma. At that hour, it was blissfully empty--one person working, no line, no chaos. We ordered and had our food almost immediately. It was honestly refreshing. I went in wanting something hearty--my usual steak and eggs moment--but that wasn't really on offer. So I pivoted and ordered the PB açaí bowl. And listen... it was really, really good. Shockingly good. Supposedly 900 calories, which feels dramatic because it did not eat like 900 calories. It felt light, clean, very virtuous. The only miscalculation? It was freezing outside. And inside. They don't run the heater, so it was absolutely frigid. Eating an ice-cold açaí bowl in Arctic conditions is a bold lifestyle choice. That's on me. My one note: I wish they mixed the ingredients better. I understand the aesthetic--smooth base, perfectly placed toppings, very Instagram. But they fill it to the brim, which makes mixing it yourself nearly impossible without creating a scene. Still delicious. Just a structural critique. I had water. It was quiet. Calm. Efficient. It was also very pricey. Almost $20 all in for what felt like a small meal--though you could argue it was technically a full one. My friend ordered the avocado toast and declared it "to die for," which felt convincing. The server was... neutral. Order taken, order delivered. No friction, no flair. We also tried another "healthful" item that I would absolutely not order again. Some things are nutritious. Some things are edible. They are not always the same. Would I go back? Yes. It was interesting. Good food. Healthy. Easy. Quick.

It's a perfectly tropical, sweet pick-me-up before of after a workout. 7g protein/260 calories. The Slim Down smoothie, while terrific for offering 21g of protein at just 240 calories total, has that yucky protein powder aftertaste, so I won't be getting this one again. It was very unwelcoming the moment I walked in, no greeting or smile at all from the workers. I ordered the sunshine immunity. When I got my drink, there was no straws. I looked around to see if I'm supposed to grab a straw at the stand but there wasn't any. I asked the worker and she was looking at her phone and told me to get a straw myself. I told her there wasn't any and you can clearly see that from afar. Her other coworker had to tell her they were out of straws so she finally gets some from the cabinet and gives me a straw. I can't believe how unhelpful they were.. The workers here can be more aware if they weren't too busy playing with their phones. Immunity sunshine $10.95 + tip = $13 (5/5) - this drink was yummy. Very fruity and refreshing with a nice kick of ginger. Not too chunky and was blended nicely cause of the coconut water Customer service (0/5) - Workers don't want to help or talk to you. They just want to be on their phones Overall, this place has great drinks. $13 for a drink with tips would be justifiable but the employees were rude and makes me not want to come back. There's other smoothie options across the street or down the block. Not sure if I was treated differently because of my race or the way I was dressed :(

Indeed the Twisted Street Cafe is one of my favorite all-time breakfast places in San Francisco. I moved back up two years ago. It was important to me to identify the best breakfast houses since breakfast is one of my most important meals of the day for me. I spent a couple weeks, trying out various places. In frankly was quite leery of anything on Lombard Street due to traffic, congestion, dirt and noise. And there were a few that I tried that were not worthy. When I came across the Twisted Street Cafe, I Immediately, I knew it was different. Small, boutique, but fresh fresh fresh food. This is the type of restaurant who remembers your name and I remember your favorite orders As an example, I was working from home and on a series of conference calls so I ordered Twisted Street Cafe from DoorDash. I clearly didn't pay attention to my order and it made a couple of errors on what my usual would be. They knew it was for me, somehow, and called me to verify if I wanted it done my regular way or the way it was came across their order. Of course I want it done the way I would normally have it, and I thanked them profusely for recognizing the mistake and helping to correct it for me. Their food is fresh. Their smoothies are incredibly tasty and fulfilling. They are located on the ground floor next to a very nice boutique hotel. I usually get takeout but on weekends, I'll choose to sit outside in the sun. Clearly, they have fantastic employees who are passionate about their job and really get to know their customers. Highly recommend Twisted Street Cafe for great food and consistency. 5-stars!!

This location is really close to my work, which was great. I stopped by on a Tuesday at 1:30pm and there were only a few customers inside. I like the simple decor and the big menu on the wall, it reminded me of Hawaii. I ordered the original gangster and waited less than 5 minutes before it was ready. The açaí was not too sweet (just how I like it), and I loved all the toppings that came with it such as the granola, banana, blueberry, coconut shavings, and honey. The strawberry was a bit too tart but other than that, everything was great. I think I've found my favorite açai spot in the city. I can't wait to try other flavors next time I stop by.

Very bikeable, walkable, and bus-able.

The Palmetto here is located just inside the main entrance right next to Blaze Pizza. Walk up to the order station and let your choices be known! No fear, as the service here was attentive and courteous when I went. My usual is the generic "Just Acai" bowl to which I can add whatever toppings I want, which are usually the honey almond granola, strawberries, but I just skip the final "finishes" - maybe that's just me. Works for me! Typical Mall vibe here, with just a couple of small benches to sit down to enjoy your treats in front, or head up to the food court upstairs to consume. All in all, one of the better places for an acai bowl or smoothie.
