Even better, the owner (Don) is himself a treasure. He knows his trade very very well, and he is incredibly outgoing and kind. He lost his beloved wife a few years ago, and he has dedicated space in his store to benefit the hospice organization that cared for his wife. Since I don't do coffee, I had a good Root Beer Float. Very tasty! Lots of things to see - make sure you check out the basement as well, where more antiques and merchandise is hidden away. Take a moment to look at the window mouldings - they are impressive with crown, dental and other accents from the original church. As far as I know, this is the ONLY place to get an Astra Latte in Ogle County. If you love good coffee, you have to try this place.
