(Most, not all) It's apparent the facility cares more about making a buck than updating the facility, hiring (and paying for) more qualified of staff. The times I've been in to help with picking up a kiddo, staff doesn't know how to handle kids doing normal kid stuff. Staff doesn't seem to be aware of normal behaviors for certain ages nor how to handle them. Children are often placed up front because the "teachers" can't control/handle those normal behaviors. I've know several families whose child(ren) have been dismissed from the facility for behaviors their so called qualified staff couldn't handle. It's really sad- this facility used to be a great place until the current lady purchased it. I'd steer clear of this place, unless mediocre care is what you're after.

Each one of the staff members care deeply about the well-being and safety of our kids, but it goes deeper than that. They want to see the kids thrive and flourish in their development and education. The thing that really stands out the most is how much more advanced our girls are compared to kids who have not been in this setting. Our kids have better social, cognitive and speech skills than others their same age. For instance, our 4 year knows how to count to ten, in Spanish! And our 2 year old (who will be 3 in August of 2016) has excessive language capabilities. We estimate that she has a vocabulary of upwards of 2500 words. Discipline has NEVER been an issue with this facility and we praise them for everything they are doing!

The teachers are so genuine and caring toward the students, and you can tell they truly want the best for them while encouraging them to reach their full potential. Small classroom ratios paired with gently encouraging children to reach new heights create an environment where every child is truly seen, supported, and able to grow. When my son first started, he was a little behind with his speech. However, after beginning at Honey Tree & Branches, he quickly caught up. The staff have become like a second family not only to him, but to all of us. His teachers have helped him expand his Spanish comprehension, supported him academically to the point that he was able to move from Pre-Kindergarten straight to First Grade, and most importantly, they have always kept him safe and happy. I know that some people believe the facility suppresses children's personalities, but that has never been our experience. My son is bright and full of energy, and he has always been able to express himself while also learning that school comes with rules and appropriate behavior expectations. They strike a great balance between structure and allowing kids to be creative and unique. They also provide balanced nutrition while allowing them the independence to say "yes, please" or "no, thank you" to food options being served. I was initially very nervous about starting my one-year-old daughter because she has significant separation anxiety. However, the patience and reassurance her teachers have shown her has been nothing short of a blessing and has truly put my heart at ease. Within just the first month of attending, she has already gained confidence, started counting, and participates in group activities. Overall, we absolutely love Honey Tree & Branches and what they provide for our family. I truly believe a lot depends on communication between parents and staff. When you are open about your concerns or your child's needs, they are very responsive and work quickly to address them appropriately.

They create a warm, caring environment and their focus on education is top notch. Mrs. Fielding, Mrs. Davis, and all the staff are always very warm and welcoming. Our little boy loves them and looks forward to going to Honey Tree. The education they provide is extremely high quality. Recently they were the only school in the area to receive a prestigious educational award - KDSE Silver Star award. They have enrichment activities for students and do an excellent job of communicating progress. I love seeing updates and pictures on Brightwheel. Our little toddler absolutely loves Honey Tree and has made amazing progress on his social and cognitive development. The pricing is in line with other schools and even day care facilities, but they provide higher quality education and service. When I talk to co-workers in other states and tell them about Honey Tree, including what they offer and how much it costs, they are very impressed. When I'm out and about and people ask where our toddler goes the response is always "Oh I've heard really good things about Honey Tree." Our toddler is happy, healthy, and loves Honey Tree, in my opinion it's worth every penny! Additionally, all the other facilities we looked at were surrounded by concrete. Honey Tree facilities are amazing, being around nature and trees is such a great benefit for the students. I don't have to worry about packing a lunch or snacks, they take care of everything!!! We could not be happier! Oh and the school pictures are absolutely amazing. We don't have to bother getting professional photos because Honey Tree is ON IT!

We switched to Loving Arms after a bad experience with another center. Loving Arms has been…read moreeverything we hoped it would be and more. They go on several field trips a year. They concentrate on actually teaching the children something during the day. In the 2.5 months that my daughter has attended, she has already learned by sight many of the letters of the alphabet and is beginning to learn to spell her name. They work on verbal skills with the kids. The teachers are all absolutely wonderful. They are very into communication. The daily sheets tell us what the kids learned that day. There are usually posters hanging up with cute things the kids have said during the day. (For example, spiders was the weekly theme a few weeks ago. The poster said "What do you like about spiders?" My daughter said they eat mosquitoes!) I know more about what goes on in my daughters day than I ever did at the previous facility. I really appreciate all the communication efforts! The kids do some amazing art projects and the teachers go all out to teach the kids. One week the theme was apples. The read apple books, talked about what you make with apples, "dissected" an apple in class so the kids can learn about all the apple parts...the list goes on. Every week there is a new theme and the teachers go all out to teach the kids in whatever way they can the new theme.

He is currently a 5 month old infant and we are well aware that there should be a wait list to these places. Regardless, as soon as we came in, there was a very rude lady opening the door. She did not even allowed us to speak and said, "how old is your baby?" As soon as we said 5 months she replied, "No, there are no spaces. You should have called!" We explained that we just wanted to check out the place. She replied, "No, I just told you there are no spaces and the wait list is until June!" Given her aggression, we did not even waste our time on such an uneducated, horribly rude and unhappy individual! I could just imagine how they treat the kids!
